One tip I suggest when doing mini twist is braiding the root a little and then twist the rest of the way down , if your planning to keep the twist in for awhile it causes the root to not poof up so much and has been very helpful to me, and your twist looks beautiful 😍
I have done mini twists before and it took multiple days to complete! Day one was 6 hours alone ! Yes they take a long time. Like she said they are cuter smaller. I posted a couple of videos with them in.
I used to think the same thing until I went on vacation last summer and didn't want to be stressed with my hair everyday... It took a while to do but it was so worth it at the end of the day
Alicia Mendsey My twists usually take 2 hours (including the time it takes to wash) but mine are larger than that. Your twists look great too (on your videos)!
Hello Jess, I love your hair and your channel. I'm just starting my natural hair journey😉. Last year I cut off all my hair, due to chemical damage. Then kept it braided, once I had enough length to braid. So, my braids have been out for 3 weeks and I'm just learning how to manage my natural 4C hair. So my question for you, or anyone else, on this chat. Do you recommend Clay for moisturizing. My hair is very dry, and I've come to learn, I have "fairy knots" on my ends 🙃. So I'm going to the beauty supply store today and I need help! I've already been online and purchased. Supposedly great moisture hair products. Which did not work. Anyhoo glad I found your channel. And I'm praying for patience with myself, as a learn my hair. 🤪🌻🌈🙏🏽
Patricia Clark Clay, as in the Aztec clay? If so no, it’s not moisturizing at all it just helps with defining your curls. Try bella curl line, I use the curl defining cream for either to revive my fro or twist outs.
@@Kristal98 hi Kristal, thank you for your reply. I used a bentonite clay on my hair. And it was amazing! Myself hair was transformed. It is so soft. 👍🏾I'll look into the products you suggested as well. Thanks again😉
This is my go to style. Every time I do this style people think I'm going to loc my hair. I have mastered this style and love doing them really small. Your hair looks amazing and I love the little bit of color you have on your ends!
I love doing mini twists on my hair. You're right about a lot of other youtubers doing some chunky twists and calling them mini. Your hair is so nice and full! Can't wait to see you style the twists!
Everytime Ive done mini twists, I feel like it took me so long to do I HAVE to get three weeks out of them. 21 days later... I have dreads forming in the back and just so many tangles near my roots 🙄🙄. I'm praying for your journey girl lol!!!
Lemme tell you... at 4:00AM I have JUST finished my mini twists and I began at 12:00PM today!! I took ONE break to eat which was only one hour😣 these are NO joke and your hands WILL break. If you put them in they must stay until you see Jesus breaking through them clouds!!! I have nothing nice to say 🙂
Arsenic I did it!!!! Definitely not as small as Jess’ but I did it. Took 2.5 hours. So far I love them. But Chile my hands were cramping, my neck was tight, but worth it
Such shine! I love it. I twist my hair every Friday at the end of wash day. Even doing “regular” twists, it takes me 2.5 hours and i finish around 3am every night. If it weren’t for my videos, I’d push that ish in and leave it for a year. The PATIENCE we need! I was so happy when you chopped your hair! I chopped in December (again in January by a profo) so our hair is around the same length and “typage”. If my (recently) making RU-vid videos, pretty sure I’d have given up on my hair by now. Looks beautiful! Love your personality as always, and have a good quarantine! Can’t even say have a good day anymore. A good day and a good quarantine day are just not the same thing... With you on timing things. Man plans, god laughs, RIGHT!?
I did twist too (because quarantine) I washed then blew out my hair and used a gel, leave in conditioner, and curling cream mix to form my twist. I was nervous about them holding so I braided the base then twisted the rest of the way down. They have lasted so long 🥰 definitely coming back to this style (when I have the time lol)
Very pretty!! 😍Mini twists are my favorite natural protective style along with this size too. They are so versatile!!!!!! I haven’t tried them on my stretched hair, so I have to give it a try!
Looks great!! I usually do mini twists in my hair as well. It helps you keep the twists in longer if you braid your hair before you start the twists as well.
I’m gonna stop being lazy and go ahead and twist my hair tonight as well. This is a great protective style because it’s so easy to keep your hair moisturized while the twists are in. And before you get ready to take the twists down you can go through and cut off the remaining bits of color off the ends of the twists. Don’t know if you care about the leftover color but just an idea of a easy way to get rid of it if you want to. Easier than doing it on loose hair I think.
I love your vibe! I feel I have gotten enough encouragement to get mine done tomorrow. Thank you so much! Your twist turned out amazing and you're so beautiful.
Oh my! your hair has already grown out alot! just lovely. I just cut off all of my hair almost like a faded cut. Fresh and new. I needed it. You are doing great. Keep up the great work. Love you God Bless you tramendousely.
Yo I love this 💕 being about the same length ( tho my density is less ) this is very encouraging and so healthy for your hair. You go girl! Thanks for sharing ☺️
Yes I finally saw hair that looks like mine, great job girl, this is my go to style, I go to the salon to do this twist all the time, I will definitely try to do it myself this time around.
This is my GOO TOO protective style❤ i'll keep them twisted for like a month, wash and retwist in between. My hair has grown soo much by keeping them in twists
It must be fate, I literally just finished mini twists in my hair. You hair came out gorgoeus. I'm actually not big on protective styling lol but I decided to try it this quarantine. The plan is to leave mine in for a month. Let's see if I last that long
💪🏾Right on time to come across your vid! Although I sell some real premium braiding hair & extensions, in the last few months, I've recently went all nat-u-ral, but just started my search for tutorials on twists & simple braiding for us twa ppl. This is def one of the simplest vids shown, WITHOUT all the drama at the beginning (as with SO MANY other younger folks' vids). I gained a LOT of help with this vid, and I successfully twisted my own little hair tonight! Thanks again!
That's how I wore my hair through high school and early adulthood. Mini twist, rubber band twist, twist with beads and shells, Senegalese twist, flat twist, mini plaits and so forth.
I definitely love it‼️💜‼️💜💜💜‼️ you killing em with that “MINI” ... wish you were around to do mine when I wanted to start my locs...(yeah I took the leap in Oct) you got some 🔥 twist chick 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
"Love that for me!" Please put that on a shirt. Love, love, the twists. Perfect size and can have longevity. Next video idea: how to wash or cowash with mini twists and maintenance.
Just me but I when she said the MICHE brand I realized I was pronouncing it completely wrong😂. But great video, the twist came out so cute and her hair is flourishing!❤️
I love your twist they came out beautiful, I was thinking about going to the shop and let someone do it but you just MOTIVATED me to save some money and do it my self Thank you
It would take me 6 months to do these in my head lol! I have a big head with a lot of hair. OAN your hair is growing like weeds! Wow you’ll be back to your old length in no time.
