I can understand the mazes being here, since it's Dr. Bad-Boon's lair and all, but...how exactly did Baby come to the conclusion that Dr. Bad-Boon is hiding here? His only line of reasoning is that it's inconspicuous to have an evil lair in what is otherwise a benign and benevolent place. My bathroom is benign and benevolent. Dr. Bad-Boon's lair could've just as easily been there, according to Baby's logic.
There's another mode of this game called Challenge, where you go through all the stages in a row. Well, it's actually four rows. Beginner throws the 10 stages you saw in World 1: Jungle Island. Advanced, the next step up, contains 30 stages, the ones from Worlds 2 through 4. Expert begins here. Naturally, that means the first few stages in World 5 are somewhat easier than the last few in World 4. Of course, that's entirely subjective and relative. It's no cakewalk, and I wouldn't doubt it if some people had MORE trouble with this batch than World 4's:
5-1 Wormhole (Difficulty: 3)
5-2 Free Fall (7)
5-3 Melting Pot (4)
5-4 Mad Shuffle (8)
5-5 Bead Screen (3)
5-6 Jump Machine (5)
5-7 Zigzag Slope (2)
5-8 Tower (6)
5-9 Toggle (10)
5-10 Fluctuation (4)
Average: 5.2
There are some trouble spots here, namely Mad Shuffle and Toggle. In Mad Shuffle, hit the play button behind the portal, then observe the platforms' movements carefully. For every 2 complete revolutions the platforms make, they will reverse their direction. When this happens, be sure to stay on the top one. It's easier explained visually. In Toggle, you should charge forward, though a little to the right, when the platforms start spinning from right to left. If you go fast enough, it should give you just enough time to reach the end before the spinning platforms catch back up to Aiai.
In Jump Machine, I forgot there was a green goal and a red goal, and I was foolishly trying for the red goal. Oh, did I not mention about colors other than the blue you've been seeing? You won't see me going through these alternate goals until World 7, but I might as well explain them: All stages have the basic goal, which is blue. Some stages have a more difficult goal, which is colored green. A few stages with a green goal will have an even more difficult goal to reach, colored red. (The exception is Planets, which you'll see much later, which has a red goal without a green goal.) You get a x2 multiplier for your score by reaching the green goal and a x4 multiplier for the red one. In challenge mode, you get an extra bonus: You skip the next stage if you can hit the green goal and the next 3 if you can hit the red goal. Again, survival is my objective here, so I'll ignore the other goals. For the most part.
Oh, and if you're wondering, the fourth set of stages is Master. It contains only 10 stages (plus another 10 if you can finish those without a continue) and are the hardest set. Be sure to check it out if you're interested!
