+LittlestPetShopPup The annoying thing is with this game is that when you complete master, it will appear in practice mode (obviously) but it will not appear as one of the difficulties in challenge mode like it does in Monkey Ball 2.
+Ucha Nekome Really? God I'm so bad at SMB2, yeah I got through Beginner and Advanced without dying, actually no I died once in Advanced and that was the best I ever did lol. I never beat Expert I forget what stage I die at. Somewhere near stage 20 or 25 I couldn't get past. I've been playing these games since I was like 10 years old so I'm pretty good at them but they're still just so freaking difficult!!!
+tehraider123 This could easily get into a top 10 hardest games ever made! It is next to impossible to even unlock master mode, which is 10 stages of absolute death!
Fun fact: this is Claris’s only run because she did not think this was fun in the slightest, and only did this because she rejected a run from a speed run site and felt the need to provide a better one. So no, people don’t do this for fun. Or at least, this person didn’t.
i dont mean to smite you, but its around an 18 minute speedrun in real time. its a 7 minute speed run in game, which means adding up all the game times together add up to 7:27.81. hope that clears up confusion :)
Apparently, they did a study, and this game is raked the with the highest correlation between skill level and skill at laparoscopic surgery. Translation: this game is so hard, it makes people better surgeons.
That's one of the easiest tricks. Just hold up until you pass the last hole on the right, then hold up-left and adjust yourself toward the end when in the air.
I tried so many times to get to Master, never even knowing if it existed or not. Expert is just too hard to get through without using a continue! Knowing what I would have had to deal with, I definitely wouldn't have gotten far.
no, beginner and advanced has to be done without losing a single life in order to get to the extra stages, but in expect it's without using a continue. they're generous enough to allow us to make a few mistakes in expert...but who cares, it's still not enough to make the majority of us get to master. still haven't to this day.
Ryan Jason Wait...WHAT??? Here I practically give up when I die once...when all along they'll allow you to get through expert without using a continue?...BUT I CAN DO THAT IF I WANTED TO!
I feel like I've been personally insulted, do you have any idea how long it used to take me when I played this? and then you just fall off the side and bounce on something and finish it in 3 seconds. incredible I'm kidding, btw, I'm not offended, I'm very much in awe
Cameron Darnell I'm aware, and I admire the skill, practice and dedication required to perform something of this caliber. Monkey Ball is freaking brutal man. I still haven't gotten to the master stages after about a decade of owning and playing this game on and off for hours upon hours. Frankly it's amazing to see this game done so easily.
Maybe some day if i get Super Monkey Ball DX, I'll probably do hand camera and show you how its done, does that sound good? :) (although i have had it once then my xbox got the red ring so i have 1 and 2 now and i got both master on those)
And the Gods of Gaming in unison spake thus, "Unto thee, our followers, a challenge only few may pass, unto thee we giveth The Devil's Game" And their followers did rage, and as foretold, few win The Devil's Game.
+John Carnifex And even fewer could ever get past master mode, which to unlock it, you must beat all of expert without dieing and then beat the extra stages! The hardest part is beating master mode itself! Don't even get me started on stage 9!
I'm curious. How many devils did you make deals with in order to achieve something like this? (lmao, in all seriousness, was this just a lot of practice and math, or?)
mikkihisame both? it's mostly experimenting with the timing and game physics. If you're good at expert's fifty stages and then the expert levels, you should know the game's physics inside out.
Saw you on AGDQ this week and i just had to come back and watch some of your older videos of SMB, was my fav game as a kid and always loved watching some of your videos of the game (and obviously some other peoples too). Loved how the people watching cheered when you jumped off every bonus level in AGDQ haha.
"So I hear you're like, a pro-level gamer!" "Yeah I'm pretty good." "So what do you play? CoD? LoL? CS? Street Fighter?" "Super Monkey Ball." "What did you just call me?"
Brings back memories of SMB days! Amazing you were able to pull off all these back-to-back! I cannot imagine how nervous you must have been on those last couple of levels!
I never did make it past floor 9 so i cam here to see what stages were ahead and looking at master, I had a long way to go. Thanks Miles, I am finally (nearly) as boss at this games as you now and I can barely complete master without using a continue because i watched all your stunts and learned from them :)
i was literally on the edge of my seat from start to finish. tbh my fingers r sticking to my keyboard as i type because i got so so sweaty watching i won't lie. lol like idk it was soooo intense esp when i realized that the footage wasn't sped up. i kept thinking u were going to fall off but u didn't holy shit lmao good job btw!!!!!
