From SDA's Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ 2013) a charity speed run marathon which aimed to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The marathon was a MASSIVE success, with donations reaching $448,423.27.

Even though Miles seemingly wasn't too happy with this run, believe me: The game is blistering hard and not something that people can typically play through consistently. Just making it to the Master stages is a very impressive task because of the difficulty of staying consistent enough to make it through 60 stages without using a continue.

Hell, even making it to Expert Extra is impressive. I still have yet to do that. There are a few stages in Expert that drain my lives.

I guess I got incredibly lucky on that part, For some reason one time while playing this game I somehow got infinite continues, but the game wasnt actually counting the continues, so I got to expert extra and master while I had used like 82 continues or something.

@@pikachuchujelly7628 I can get through expert mode and the extra stages without dying but the master stages are absolutely insane. Theres 5/10 of the master stages that only a robot can beat lol

the thing i love about these runs is no one feels awkward when the runner gets mad at his own mistake because they are all runners themselves & they understand the frustration of making a simple mistake on a good run. btw shout out to SpikedVegeta for being a beauty as always & respecting the runner & letting him focus when needed

As someone who was in the chat when this happened, everyone was rooting for him, not being "ughhh he looks so angry i'm not donating". And everyone took their runs seriously, no one likes to be the guy who failed to complete his run, even if it's for donations.

Waited 1 week for it :). Sadly i couldn't watch it live, but i got so hyped from the TriHex Jet Set Radio video that i wanted to see it. I was so impressed that i had to watch it again. In the end all i gotta say is: AWESOME SKILLS MILES and thanks for uploading this masterpiece. :)

Oh my goodness, this is amazing. There's so much in this game that I never even got to see. I don't think I ever made it past level 10 in expert mode 0_0 Granted, I was only, like, 9 when I played this game last, but it's still mind boggling seeing this!

That Master 3 is still impressive to this day. I bought a $35 Gamecube controller OG 1st party this past Saturday just so I could play this comfort game again on PC with a Mayflash adapter because I found out my dad died just 10 minutes before I went into the store to grab it. Now I'm playing all the Super Monkey Ball games as a way to cope.

22:45 You tell me they aren't having fun? They are way supportive, plus they were watching intently because they ARE speedrunners. I enjoyed watching this too. I don't like to see anyone get frustrated,but he had pressure to perform well, he was giving a gift to viewers, and didn't want to let them down. I like that though,he showed passion! He even joked "Well its more exciting I guess." It did. Also I find it super funny that a user named ColdHardGaming is telling someone to "lighten up."

That's like telling a professional baseball player to stop taking the game so seriously. It doesn't feel good to disappoint an audience, and when you do screw up in front of a lot of people, it can be hard to just shake it off.
