I hope you all had a great holiday! I know it seems early but I’ve been ready to take down my Christmas as soon as I woke up on the 26th 😬 I think part of it is we will be celebrating Mike’s birthday on the 31st so I want to get ready for that celebration! I am still enjoying Christmas 🎄 I even just mailed out a few Christmas cards. I understand people are different...we traditionally take the tree 🎄 down the first week of January.

I am grateful for the magic and excitement of the holiday season, but if I am being 100% honest, I am thankful that it is over. It seems like every single year you start seeing the Christmas posts earlier and earlier on social media. We are not even past Halloween and people are sharing Christmas related content. And you see all of the viral trends and products that I think make people feel like they need to purchase all of this stuff that honestly you don't need nor even necessarily want. I legit ended up taking down our Christmas tree and decor more than a week before Christmas even officially arrived because I was beyond over it. My husband and I are 58 and 59 years of age and we don't exchange gifts amongst ourselves and we don't get together with anyone during the holiday season. So the Christmas tree is merely just there for decoration. We live in an 892 square foot apartment which is relatively small on a normal day to day basis, and when you add in a Christmas tree and all of the decor, it eats into what is already a smaller space. So I was just ready to regain back my living area and get the clutter cleaned up and packed away. I honestly think that moving forward during the holiday season I am just going to stay off social media because it mentally can be overwhelming and exhausting (at least for me personally). And it definitely leads me to spend money on crap that I don't even need nor actually even want.

I'm Hispanic and we celebrate Three Kings on Jan 6 so my Christmas tree will still be up til then. Its a tradition hopefully my kids will follow one day. Love from Texas.

I love Christmas but I agree! I am so glad it’s over!! 🎉😅 For me it’s seeing the excited faces of my grandchildren and just having everyone together in my home. But wow…the work! So amazingly fun and so amazingly exhausting. I like the slower pace that comes after Christmas as well.

The best thing that I do after Christmas is make a list of everything that we bought and enjoyed and everything that we bought and didn’t eat! I make a list of all those extras that I always need to remember such as tights as you mentioned and get the list out in November to prepare myself! Another idea is plan your outfits ahead of going out so you know what you’ll be wearing and when.

Our Christmas this year was very special. We shared with our family that we are adding another baby to our family. A little boy due in July 2024. I don’t usually comment on your videos often Jamie but know that I watch them religiously. I always get very excited when I find out that you posted a new one!! We tackled our house the day after Christmas as well. Cleaning, organizing, and now rearranging bedrooms for our new addition. I hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Hi Jamie, it feels like it's been forebears since I saw you on here, and it's so nice seeing you today. My oldest grandson got sick, and I took him to the doctor on Thursday before Christmas, and he has RSV a, and I strayed feeling rough on Christmas, so I went yesterday, and I have RSV. I'm at my wits end with all this sickness everywhere, and I'm with you on getting the house back to normal. Christmas stuff is going to be put away, and this house is going to get disinfected and sanitized from to to bottom. Can't wait for the organizing videos. I took my tree down at 930 Christmas night! Did a really good deep clean the next day and took everything down! I put up winter decor w lots of white snowflakes! So simple and cozy!

Wonderful video Jamie! You are always so motivating. I take my tree down on New Year’s Day while we watch the college football bowl games. I have to tell you, your system of picture organization is amazing and I am going to use that to get my own pics in order! I literally have thousands of pictures in the cloud because I couldn’t think of how I wanted to organize them. Having a yearly album with printing just the favorites from that year is perfect!
