Just shows you the power of daytime TV forty years ago. The fact somebody could win about $83000 after General Hospital shows you that it was a different time.
It was called a jack...you could see it in the begimning of every show...how do i know this,,,i was one of the stagehands pushimg the jack...was a great show to work on
I heard "calm" after the buzzer, too. However, I would have given it to her for this reason. Jo Anne misread calm as clam, which caused a wrong clue & took time away from the contestant. If not for that, she could have said calm before time ran out.
Melissa H It is allowable to repeat a small part of the Password as part of a clue, as long as it is not the entire main root. For example, although "foot" and "ball" would not be allowed as clues for the Password "football", the clue "baseball" would be allowed. "Day" would not be allowed as a clue for "Monday", but "Sunday" would be allowed. "Strawberry" would be allowed as a clue for "blackberry", since the repeated part "berry" is not the entire main root of "blackberry". "Girlfriend" is a legal clue for "boyfriend," but "boy" or "friend" is not.
