Great video guys. Yes, I had researched some Mexico economy recently and learned that there is so much red tape, expense and bureaucracy in getting your biz set up legally. It needs to be fixed. If 64 % or more of people can’t pay taxes then, there is not a lot of tax dollars to fix some of the infrastructure issues that are preventing more economic growth for Mexico. Yes many United States corporations have moved plants and that sort of thing here to Mexico but other countries have not because of the electric and other infrastructure issues. On that note Mexico will not be able to meet its full potential quite yet.

Also, I was watching another RU-vidr in Mexico who talked about people running their businesses from their home and he said the government doesn't really stop anyone from doing that. Unlike the US, if someone sets up a lemonade stand or tries to feed the homeless, they have to have some permit or license. I remember seeing a video longtime ago on a boy being arrested for selling something ( I can't remember what, but it wasn't anything like drugs or illegal, just something minor).
@TheYarbros

Yes large shadow economies are common place in countries with a large population of people on the financial fringes of society.
@pepesmagazine
@pepesmagazine Год назад
Listen, I agree, a boy selling lemonade in the street should not be bothered by the government, however... in most of my country as soon as you open for business organized crime comes at you and demands its cut or keeps your whole enterprise or you and your family may be erased (and they are neither asking nor joking), then you will wish the government was your only concern. It does not matter if you are an MD or a baker, you are operating in THEIR territory, so you must pay. Just like the legal taxes only no paperwork and sometimes more violent. It is a real problem, they let the cartels operate freely and do business like it was nothing. Laws do not apply since there is no will nor incentive to enforce the rule of law. Yes you can move and operate outside of the law, a lot, but the very factor that enables this is the lack of the rule of law, and the natural result of it is chaos, and here we are. While the federal administration keeps allowing all these things to happen and the head of state yells from the top of his lungs that the law is just an excuse of the oligarchs (yes, he did say so and also his prime directive to the army and police is "abrazos no balazos" = "hugs, not shots") we live in a society that is worse every single day, our financial and national security policies are a joke, we have 4 million "new poors" and there has been more than 300 thousand killings and countless "disappeared" people, they disappear because they got good at getting rid of dead bodies. No body no crime, right? Google "madres buscadoras" (searching mothers). I love my country but those are facts.

Great video. But my take on this is that as the peso continues to rise, and if it becomes US$1 to 1peso, that's good for the Mexican people because they wouldn't have to be in the US trying to send home money to their family. They would also have the same opportunities like the US citizens to travel and people from the US looking for opportunities abroad could actually work in Mexico because the peso has value.

You will not regret it. It’s beautiful and peaceful here. Tlaxcala is the smallest state in Mexico and Tlaxcala is also the capital city of the state. In the 2010 census it was reported that less than 50,000 live in the capital. I was told that Mexicans say Tlaxcala is a myth and they don’t exist. 😂🤣. Tlaxcala has adopted that into their slogan by saying, yes, it does exist. Truly beautiful place and one of the safest in Mexico. Great video! Hello, The Yarbros! if I am referring to a hypothetical scenario where Mexico were to have a strong and stable currency commonly referred to as a "super peso," the country could benefit from increased purchasing power, reduced import costs, and enhanced investor confidence. A strong currency can lead to lower inflation, making imports cheaper and potentially attracting foreign investment. This could contribute to economic growth and stability. I can not provide additional context if you're referring to a specific development or concept that has emerged after my knowledge cutoff date. Thanks, The Yarbros!

Mexico's shadow economy is an example of free market capitalism which benefits the consumer due to competition and better prices. However, Mexico's big industries like oil and gas are monopolistic and are controlled by the elite .For example the teacher's union outside of Pemex has to be the most corrupt example. Inflation is a hidden consumer tax. Although the peso may have gained some ground, gains are eroded due to inflation. When wages are rising at a faster pace then prices, that is a sign of booming economy. When wages increase peoples standard of living increase that does not seem to be the case currently. The government uses tricks to manipulate the masses to believe that the economy is strong. Sure the currency is stable for now but keep in mind the U.S is Mexico's largest trading partner. When demand goes down in the U.S Mexico will suffer greatly in the long run. The peso is still tied to the U.S dollar so goes the dollar so goes the peso. In a economic SHTF scenario, people will flee the peso in to the safety of the U.S dollar. When that happens the Dollar will increase rapidly against the Peso and the Mexican central bank will have to cut rates and print money to keep up. Lets hope that doesn't happen, but all signs indicate the U.S will have to print money to eternity. For expats such as yourselves, you will be just fine in fact you may benefit in the long run by holding U.S dollars. You guys are living the dream. You found a slice of paradise. I'm sure it took lots of work to get to the point financially where your at. You guys made a great move. Cashed out early to really live and enjoy life. Best of luck and blessings to you guys.

How is product being stored? Is it being stored at proper temperatures? Is it in sanitary conditions? I just couldn't do it?Remittances are crucial for Mexico, representing 4% of GDP and being the second-largest source of foreign exchange. Mexico's gross national product (GNP) was $1,327.01 billion in 2022, which was a 9.22% increase from 2021. So almost half of its GNP growth comes from remittances from the USA. So no Mexico still has a ways to go..Btw the growth in the Factory sector is coming because of cheap labor and land prices. You know companies in America wanted to save a penny and move their jobs there.

Actually many African countries are much more expensive than Mexico....but Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, Turkey, Kuala Lumpur are just a few less expensive countries to consider with similar or higher qualities of life.

Kinda weird to be excited about a theoretical downturn. Mexico is thriving and will continue to. It's done a great job hedging itself. Peace and prosperity to all Americans.
