I'd like to say that this didn't work for me until I added salt water to the ice. The salt lowers the freezing point of water, so you end up with very cold water that can cool the cup faster and more drastically.

So 3 years later my daughter finds two glass bowls stuck together. A smaller bowl lodged in a bigger one on its side. I was bummed when the video method did not work, but the salt did the trick! Thank you!

Brilliant! I had no ice so added water to two dixie cups and froze them -- pushed out the two small ice blocks into the top bowl (two large bowls were stuck together) and it worked right away! Thanks for saving me from potential lethal cuts!

worked a treat! didn’t have to use ice just really cold water and kept submerged in really hot, after 5 mins turned upside down and a couple of gentle taps on bottom and the top glass fell out!👍🏻

I seriously thought I was gonna break one jar to save the other, because clearly they're stuck and won't budge. Thankfully the technique worked even if the two glass jars were stuck on the opening. I had to use a soaked towel on icy water while the base of the other jar is on a basin filled with slightly hot water. Thanks for sharing this video! 😊 ✌

It worked! Thank you so much! My mom put a glass in my favorite mug and it got stuck. I tried soap and water, olive oil, i did think of pouring boiling water, but i was on the verge of just shattering the glass to at least save my mug. You rock!💜

Thank you! This worked perfectly. I didn't have ice cubes but the water coming out of the tap was so cold that it worked just using that and the warm water as advised.

It worked perfectly for me. I had two Pyrex bowls stuck together and after 10 or 15 seconds this method worked to get them unstuck. Thank you very much!

I’m so glad I saw this video 😍 it worked! I had three glasses stuck on top of each other and managed to separate them. I was terrified that it might break and end up hurting myself, please be careful still could happen, I don’t think I’ll do it again.

Good job, I have a teapot lid stuck so I’m going to apply your theory to this! Fingers crossed. 😊 I put the pot with the lid firmly stuck in cold water fully submerged. Poured water away, stood up teapot, poured in very hot water and hey presto Ta da success. Thank you

Thank you. It worked great for me, I let them sit for about 40 seconds and they came apart so easy. I have to say that I put hot water on the bottom container, not boiling but hot. Best of luck

Yes! It really really worked. I had a empty Classico jar stuck inside a large coffee mug. The trick for me was using, ice ; salt and boiling hot water. Plus I use a paring knife around the edges. Don’t give up keep trying😅😅😅😅😅

It did work, after 2hrs! Added salt and more hot water and tried twisting the two glasses about every half hour until they finally came apart. So, NO, it didn’t work in just a few seconds but YES, it did work...eventually👏

Yay! It worked with the iced, salted water on top, and hot water on the bottom. It took about 10 minutes, and s thin knife helped separate the two (identical) glasses.

Worked. Had a cup (coffee mug) and my tea cup stuck on it. Thank u for this tutorial. Ps. Just wait 2-3 mins add a lil bit of water to ice. It works well.

Worked like a champ, no broken parts, no cuts. I too added salt to the ice before I poured water over the ice then I immersed both pieces in water that had been heated in the microwave. I still needed to "persuade" the inner piece with a wooden spoon. Thanks!

I tried it with 2 glasses. It worked. I filled the top glass with ice, salt and added water. Let it stand and get cold. Then I put the two stuck classes standing up in pot of very warm tap water high enough to cover the bottom glass about 2/3’s of the way up. I VERY GENTLY slid a thin knife between the two glasses but with no pressure as not to crack them. The cold glass lifted up. Be careful. 👍🏻

I had a small vase get stuck inside a bigger vase. I was struggling. I put them both in warm water to wash 🤦🏽‍♀️. Anyway this worked . Thank you!

This method did not work for me. I ended up putting water in the bottom glass and put it in the freezer and the water pushed it out. I hope what i did will possible help someone else.

HI, ,what if the Top is Glass and the Bottom is a Pan. I was cooking fish the other night, and I put a top of Glass onto a pan, it just fit right in there and I cannot get it out at all. Thanks

I was working and didn't realize I put 2 measuring cups upside down on each other and they got stuck, needless to say I did exactly wat the video showed but put salt on top of the ice and it took a few minutes but it worked. My client is pleased and so am I😂😂😂

Tried this for half an hour and wouldn't budge so I took a hammer and smashed the glass. Honestly wish I didn't waste 30 minutes of my life but the stress relief was good.
