The Boss Fight was kinda lame, but I appreciate the spirit of the whole situation. I also like how he has unique dialogue with EVERYONE and not just the respective series protagonists.
I dunno, I dislike X when it came out but now I liked it better than V. The intro stages with everyone coming to Al-Warth felt a bit forced, but from stage 20-ish onwards it's pretty solid. X stayed true to its premise while V promised you space voyage but it's just... your everyday SRW? It seemed great at the time because it's the first SRW in english, the first to have 3D map and bust portrait since Z1, the first to have Huckebein again etc. But now that the novelty has run out, I think it's pretty terrible. (I mean, look at that battle dialogue UI, yikes)
That's not Ende. You literally make a joke out of Ende on normal and even on if he's too busy choking on his food to fight you, so much to the point he barfs light at you. If phase 2 was laughable as well but as least a tad better.
One thing I like about Dyma (and T as a whole, I guess) is that the stakes seem so much lower (but so much more personal because of it). Like, Ende threatened the entire multiverse, Nevanlinna threatened all three parallel Earths, Dyma is just a dude with a gigantic army. And it's reflected in his bossfight too, where the challenge comes more from gimmicks (Ame, needing to keep the MP Tyranado numbers down, etc) than stats (not that Ende or Nevanlinna were particularly challenging either...)
I love when we have smaller-scale villains like this. It's very refreshing after the slew of cosmic horrors and gods and shit. I like just having an asshole with too much time and resources on his hands to punch.
@@hokutofan21 Yeah, but Nevanlina didn't feel as predictable, and while you could argue that Ende was definitely predictable... actually... no Ende was basically just another Cosmic Horror final boss a la Perfectio and Nevanlina was... kinda original, tbh. The closest thing i can think of to her is AI1 from MX
@@borby4584 Nevanlina was the biggest disappointment to me, and that says a lot Ende exists, because hints where there and they just played it in the blandest way possible. You could argue true/if route was even blander than normal which is the oddest inversion. I can't even call Ende a cosmic horror it was just a really any Digimon reject you bully into barfing light at you. Advent was literally giving final boss vibes from the second he showed up to boot.
OG final bosses were worse. One had to be blind to not see that Not!Euzeth that actually was Euzeth was the final boss of 2nd OG, and the adamatron was like some deviantartist was drawing his OC do not steal that is bigger better and cooler than everybody else, not unlike sonic OC
hokutofan21 honestly I can agree with you there. It’s hard to call Ende one when half of his fight is him whining like a little bitch about how spicy Hope is to him. Like, imagine if Keisar or Perfectio did that shit. They’re also why Ende didn’t even feel to intimidating. We’ve fought far worse with far less than X’s roster, so why should he be intimidating?
