Reminds me of the 1980 program "Cruise Missile Carrier Aircraft (CMCA)", hooking about 100 cruise missiles onto a 747-200 cargo airframe with all the seats and storage removed and nothing but the cruise missiles.

I worry about the effects of the slipstream and retrograde propulsion on weapon separation. If done the way demonstrated I could imagine the weapons tumbling. They still may need a small parachute to make things stable. Certainly cheaper with a small parachute than a fancy launcher. However the rotary mechanism is certainly interesting and could be used for other systems such as small diameter bombs or LRASM.

Essentially rapid dragon, but with hypersonic missiles. With both Rapid Dragon and Revolver, the U.S. has standoff weapon dominance, and potentially the ability to limit amphibious assault against China. PLA naval vessels may be blocked from proceeding further due to ships further ahead either destroyed or combat incapable.

It already hat that ability. This system and Rapid Dragon just allow for a much higher volume of fire since the Cargo Aircraft can joing the Bombers in the opening barrage allowing for huge amounts of damage to be done quickly. It basically makes any cargo aircraft into a temporary B-52 and considering the US has 100+ of these aircraft it will make the opening barrage absolutely devastating.

Exactly! Increasing the threat envelope and making it more permissible for stealth aircraft to strike. You can only have so many priority targets before hundreds of C-17 with revolver / rapid dragon, hundreds of c-130 with rapid dragon, b-2s, b-1s, b-52s and or b21s slap you across the face with ordinance. The more strike capability, the harder it’ll be for near peer threats to counter each layer. Imagine fitting the C-5 galaxies with this thing… Jesus Christ.
