SUPER SCALE RC Pilatus PC-21 TURBOPROP-powered ADVANCED TRAINER (Tomahawk Design | Steve Johnson)
The Pilatus PC-21 is a turboprop-powered advanced trainer with a stepped tandem cockpit. The full size aircraft is manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. This model kit is manufactured by Tomahawk Design in Germany and was built by Matt Bishop of Bishop Aviation. In the air it looks and sounds no different to the full size aircraft. It is powered by a JetCat turbo-prop engine that is basically a micro jet engine in reverse with it's thrust rotating an impeller that is connected to the prop. The engine and prop are not physically connected. The exhaust gases from the engine flow over the impeller vanes and rotate the prop.

That was so cool Dom,nothing against the electric foam planes and edfs,but this real turbo-prop is awesome! I'm a retired FAA lisenced mechanic who loved working on the P&W PT-6A engines like the one the PC-21 uses.Great job by the builder and pilot and to you for bringing this to YT,thanks!!

That is a piece of Art and workmanship 10/10 awesome looking and sounding and so true to life , seeing models like this one is only an inspiration and great gratification of being involved in such a great hobby sometimes more like a passion, as i too have a PC-9 , 10cc Gasser with a 3 blade Prop and aluminum Spinner and that is my baby but nothing compared to this beauty but just the same to me its my beast and i love it still waiting to do the maiden on her but when i see planes like this it just makes me wanna get her out and go up for the sky , waiting on a good weather day and not much wind to do that, and next on the bench is my BlackHorse Model P-56 Percivil Provost with 15cc Glow (OS 91FX)- Just love scale aircrafts there just breathtaking great video Dom Love your work, Cheers From Andrew Reece- Wingman R/C

Yes. I suspect a good move. Someone from that part of the world is bound to make Steve an offer he can't refuse. It's an amazing scheme and looked fantastic against that clear blue sky at the NATS.
