Not sure how? but I messed up Jordan Mechner's name in the video and said John instead! awesome! My apologies Jordan if you somehow stumble upon this video.
@@michaelandreipalon359 As in one singular central speaker. Stereo tvs used to be a premium thing that you could only afford if you weren't poor. In the age of surround sound and multi-speaker headphones, a lot of people don't think about mono audio anymore.
wow the MGS one, Kojima really thought of everything! (reminds me of the scene in Snatcher on your first mission there's a bomb there right? but you can't hear it unless you really crank your tv... of course by the end you escape and the bomb goes off, but you were probably so preoccupied you never returned the volume to a lower level, and metal makes a joke about it. :P) Also there was a recent article highlighting the Karateka easter egg! I actually sent it to his twitter and he had some additional insight on it, so definitely look him up to hear about it!!
Huh, I thought that the Evil Within 2 Easter egg only happened if you got to the last chapter of the game and *then* backtracked Nice to know it's easier 😎
My personal favorite easter egg is the one in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep where you can find a crashed satellite in the Archers Line Lost Sector on the Moon. Interacting with it gives you an emblem called "Orbital Cartographer". Its an easter egg in reference to the NASA satellite LunaH-Map which looks for water-ice on the moon that launched back in 2018.
1:08 This reference to Futurama is awesome XDXD 1:52 23 years after the launch of the game an I still discover more and more Easter Eggs, I'm amazed. It's clear that Kojima has tallen to make games full with awesome level of detail.
I remember hearing those whispers in RDR2 when I was hunting a couple years ago. I never watched any of the movies and shows so I would never have known that
I don't know if you covered it on your show but the game Jump Force has some amusing easter eggs. I found out that if you played as Sanji from One Piece and Ryo from City Hunter, two characters who are huge womanizers, their move sets change when going against female characters in the game.
There is a super secret Easter egg in D-4 of the FDS version of Super Mario Bros 2 when you play as Luigi you can use his extra jump height to access a special secret area
As bug ridden as it is, In wwe 2k20, if you buy the Bump in the Night Expansion pack, theres a 2k tower called "all fed up" that has you play the role of sheamus and fight zombified versions of wwe wrestlers. The whole tower from sheamus' attire, the commentary team droppin memorable lines, and sheamus stating at the end "now lets head to the pub, grab a drink, and wait for all of this to blow over" i believe is a reference to the best movie of my lifetime, Shaun of the Dead.
2:54 I haven't seen it posted anywhere but I once got attacked by the guardian falling out of the sky and then chasing me in the first open area and dude that scared me almost to death. Seeing that I can't find it anywhere it was either an easter egg or a glitch.
I'm genuinely in shock that I'm still seeing Easter eggs from mgs 1 2 and 3 that I've never seen before lol god tier of gaming. Sure fire Hall of fame.
I don't know how many times I've seen that Evil Within 2 Easter egg but it never isn't funny I havent even played that game but that's the best Easter egg ever
Been watching since the GTA SA Easter egg video all those years ago. I must’ve been in the fourth grade back then (9-10 years old). I’m almost 19 now and I still feel so joyous when I watch your videos. Keep up the good work James!
There's one in Shenmue. There's a cat that you can visit near the start of the game who you can feed. Doing so actually fills some hidden affinity stat. If you raise the cat's affinity to 500 (or 5000, I'm not sure which), then at some point in the game, during a certain fight, Nozomi will actually join the fight using Ryo's moveset.
There is a star wars Easter egg in Indiana Jones and the infernal machine. If you stand against a smooth wall and select the chalk pen in the menu (can you use it to mark something to find your way back, etc.) if you do it often enough Indi draws something out of Star Wars ;-)
Hello, James! I really enjoy your weekly content. Every time I see you've posted a video, even if I still want to watch another youtuber's video, I watch you more. Thank you!
WOW!!! I am not a gamer these days but this video STRUCK ME!!!!! I have watched EVERY video of yours with a general obsession with watching these Easter eggs but I don't play any of these new games or even newish ones..... i am still hooked on things like age of empires and D2 classic PC and you just blew my mind with the cow level. That's so dope !!
Tbh, Metal Gear is full of those funny convos throughout the series. Like if you keep shooting the crows in the elevator leading to Metal Gear, Colonel calls you and say: "we're not paying you to be a scarecrow" Keep calling Mei Ling without saving will eventually annoys her. And plenty others
I must admit, at least they kept the mono TV part of MGS1 even in modern ports... wouldn't say the same about the Psycho Mantis save states, but alas, technology and gaming have changed.
The upside down easter egg reminds me of being a child playing snes and sitting upside down on my parents couch. We all did it. Legs on the back of the couch. Head hanging toawrds the floor staring at the tv.
Easter egg in Twisted Metal 2 on the New York stage theres a statue of liberty that if you shoot once will light her torch, continue to shoot her she ends up in a bikini, shoot her one more time she will turn fat, after that the statue just explodes.
i love all of your videos. i watch all of them. in almost every video i’ve never even heard or played any of the games but somehow you still make it feel nostalgic.
What is the name of your theme song? 🎶 it's been stuck on my mind for some years now and i would love to hear the complete song 😁🎶 thank you for amazing videos and easter eggs 👍🏻
What is really funny about the Goat Simulator easter egg is that it's actually about an easter egg rumor from Diablo 1 that Blizzard turned into a real easter egg in Diablo 2.
i used to watch your videos :3 i loved watching cartridge tilting and glitch videos and ik your old intro of by heart, glad to see your still an amazing channel
