Let's see which characters can break a shield by using only one move in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Music The Battle at the Summit End of Despair Minor Circuit Theme 1080p 60fps Gameplay by Nintendo Unity |
Ordalami No you put a timestamp of Link hitting twice. i made a joke saying that link used a 2 hit move and it still counts (and there are multiple comments just like this)
@@reincarnatedsoul1341 Actually since it's russian it really stands for "Ruchnoi Protivotankovye Granatamyot". The fact that the english term also fits is just a coincidence :D
Technically, Ryu/Ken down through is NOT the only move that can instant shield break. Full-charged focus is actually coded to break shield, then apply the special effect. It's very bizzare, but it is actually a shield break, not a grab. Same with Mac's KO punch.
@@tacticaljunk1608 Kirby just pulled out shulks sword then he used his hammer....or do the effects of the buster sword still work even if you don't use it on Kirby? If it is that then the same goes for inkling as she had to cover him in paint in order to make the damage more effective
I mean I think what he meant was “who can break a shield in one MOVE” because at that point it would have been more accurate and yes link strikes twice but it’s still technically part of the same move
Yeah ^^ it can deal massive damage to shields and it normally breaks any shield if fully charged. But did you know that a full shield from Shield Manado Shulk wont break to a fully charged Shield Breaker? Kinda neat
So nobody is going to talk about SF characters breaking a shield with their down throw? What genius added that to the game. Also Ryu's heavy side tilt also destroys it, so he was just styling
@@Str1ke-YT if another character gets hit by the animation while you are down throwing someone, their shield will pop if they block it. It destroys shields in one hit, and its in the video
The challenge is supposed to be who can do it in ONE hit tho, which is kinda hypocritical of them because many characters do many hits while using one move, Link for example hits the shield twice but he is only using F-smash so yeah idk
@@jamestdfm the name is kept simple because it's a name; the description holds the actual rules. Link is still iffy even given their rules, but one can understand why they let him use both hits.
Delta in that case kirby should be a success because he’s only using side b. In fact, the success in the video is due to kirby using 2 separate moves, so if anything it shouldn’t be counted
@@wisp5570 correct, except they clarify that input must stop after the first hit, so Kirby's method here is fine. Apparently they didn't put the rules in this video's description, but they did every other time (afaik at least)
Forgot to mention mii fighter. His head smash down b does break shields like yoshi and bowser down b but they didn't show it bc they don't know what they are doing.
I feel the timing of the amount of shield is left affects the break. You had some characters hit on full large shield and others where the shield was small and then you hit.
You: You idiots! Have you watched memes? Archanea, Valentia, Ylisse, Hoshido, Nohr, Tellius, Elibe, Magvel, Jugdral, Fódlan and Zenith: You bet we have! You: *Takes their swords away*
It was the Limit Break version, which does all slashes regardless, unlike the standard version, which requires more inputs AND each previous hit to connect for the full combo.
@@pizzawonderer5024 The point of contention is Link's side smash, which is a two-input multi-hit attack. Most other multi-hit attacks are a single input. It's easier to count the multi-input multi-hit attacks than the single-input: Link's side smash; Marth's, Roy's, Lucina's, and Chrom's side special; Cloud's side special without a full limit meter; Cloud's up special; Shulk's up special; and I think a few more, but I'm not entirely sure.
A better title would be "Who Can Break a Shield in One Move?" since a lot of them are actually breaking the shield with a single move but multiple hits
Jordan Vega actually, fun fact, some characters have bigger shields. Bowser, for example, has a larger than average shield size! Hope you learned something new!
Pretty sure the only one that will break Shield Shulk's shield is double buffed hero (oomph+psych up) with a Crit or double buffed hero with hatchet man.
@@aaronking2020 no, it isn't, they are natural. Watch competitive clips and you can see it happen with items off. It is just a low chance and they aren't disqualified for it.
@@Shadow-mi1kn That Fire Emblem Fates (Corrins' three "choices") is a joke of a game in every term possible, the previous one called Awakening(the one that has three reps in Smash known as Chrom, Robin and Lucina) had the same problems than Fates but 3 times less harmful. But basically those were unfocused plot and that the challenge of the game can be magically and drastically turn off at the start of any save file.
@@Cristeve nah man ness and Lucas are way less annoying than dark pit, pit, daisy and peach, because if somebody is spamming side be with any of those 4 listed, its worse
And also Lucas and ness are no joke and pk fire isn’t all they’re good for. It’s just all the spammers that put that reputation on them. That’s why if you’re an ACTUAL ness main (not a spammer) and you say “hey guys I found a zero-to-death for ness” they immediately assume it is “ pk fire pk fire pk fire pkfire pk fire baseball bat” but it’s not that. Yes it consists of 1 and I mean ONLY 1 pk fire, that’s just because it’s a good move to use to start combos. However just because it’s good for combos doesn’t mean it should be spammed. Lucas is MUCH more than pk fire as literally ANYONE who has played as Lucas a significant amount would tell you.
@@SarajevoKyoto Heavies like Bowser or K. Rool have (naturally) bigger shields than those of Pichu or Mr. G&W. It makes sense because normally these characters have bigger hitboxes
Yeah, doing that in competitive would be bullshit for both of them. Bullshit that the player has to sit their and wait for a Mr Saturn, and bull shit that the other player would let that happen.
