Coney should definitely take a look at the fan-made Ganondorfs that people have made, giving him his own unique movesets accurate to the games

Ultimate Ganon shouldve taken more inspiration from Calamity Ganon honestly

i prefer the pm rid moveset just because he feels more aerial based, which is how ridley should be designed... BUT also very big

While the Bowser Jr moveset made sense for the time those videos were released... the way Sakurai made Bowser Jr actually is more in line with how Jr is portrayed in later games.

As a big fan of ridley I would vote two just for the down air alone, ridley in ultimate is great except he’s missing his iconic pogo tail duck tails attack that he’s had in like every boss fight since super Metroid. It’s iconic and instead he just falls down with his feet (definitely not mad that his down air sucks I swear it’s about the representation) perfect ending would be ultimate ridley with the fan made down air and eeeh y’know maybe a liiitle bit heavier like y’know a bit heavier then samus at least

The geno mod also killed people at 30 with downthrow lazer lol. Its mad fun as a modded character. Only super broken thing is probably the lazer.

The one thing I remember about fighting Ridley in Zero Mission was how he just came at you full force with no chill. Most bosses are just a lot of waiting for weak point to be exposed, jumping around a lot, but Ridley just runs at you and tries to kill you faster than you kill him. My ideal Ridley would be a pretty one who can just annihilate you if you sleep on him. Basically, a fast punching bag.

I'm a beta tester for the Ridley moveset that got shown off in the video. A lot has changed since the days of Legacy XP Ridley and the Ridley moveset that's rebalanced for P+EX.

8:10 that's exactly how I feel about Sonic in Smash, word for word, bar for bar. It's a genuine travesty. Edit: SONIC IS LITERALLY MORE POPULAR IN THE WEST TOO

Geno in PM is one of the most fun characters in PM, which was one of my biggest reasons for wanting him in the first place.

For the next episode I would recommend The Dook of Dorks, I haven’t watched his newer videos but he did a lot of this kind of thing in the past, and he likes to radically change the characters from how they appear in the game

As a Geno fan, I agree, he would have been a good Mii Gunner If they actually gave him a good Mii costume. I swear I would have been content if he just got either the sans or cuphead treatment

Bowser Jr is my favorite character in the whole game. I love him being in the clown car. I love hitting people with buzz saws and cannon balls and drills and etc etc. I'm so glad Sakurai didn't do any stupid paint brush garbage except for the final smash which doesn't matter

My comment might not make sense, but the fan-made movesets prove that you can't just put in any character in smash. You either have to nerf them so hard till they are trash characters, or you might make them so good the people will hate you for it. Sakurai tried to make these characters accurate to their games and all. Problem is in Sephiroth's case for example, He's so powerful even in his base form that Sakurai had to nerf him who knows how much to make Sephiroth the way he is in smash. But he is supposed to be making the moveset accurate. But he can't as Sephiroth would be too much to handle if the moveset was to be more accurate. Some of the fan-made movesets were more accurate. But they show how a character could just be too much. I blame the fans for wanting so many characters in Smash let alone any competitive game, even if the character would be too much to handle.

Ridley is a more faithful representation but that just means Ridley shouldn't be in smash

i honestly feel like they’re just going to continually port the game to new systems. they won’t have to make another smash game, and they can just add new content or skins or whatever and call it a day. the game prints money

Been playing pm Ridley for years, can attest he’s busted as hell, but you CAN smash out of the command grab side b if you try fairly easily. One thing doesn’t look like they touched on was his recovery though... if you hold in it’s like smash 4 meta knight up b, and if you hold out it’s like brawl meta knight up b. He goes so far lol

I think most characters play fun in ultimate even ganondork,changing them might devide fans of these characters But fuck this sh’t I want link with more botw botw2 abilities,Mario odyssey moves,Metroid dread samus All the veterans are soo similar to their N64 counterparts sadly Smash needs to evolve these characters and thanos snap game and watch

I suspect in 5 or 6 years tops we'll have a small handful of overhaul mods that balance everything out, and at least 1 ProjectM style mod. Literally just a mod that makes platforms less whack would be golden.

Ultimate banjo is well made, he’s just in a game that makes him play lame. Like the moveset is right, it’s just he has poor frame data and attributes, additionally the game engine isn’t kind the slower characters, so he can’t be aggressive.

Banjo's Ultimate moveset is fine... it just wasn't balanced right. If he had better air speed to combo, if Kazooie's attacks actually killed and if Wonderwing was weaker but quicker, I'd think he wouldn't need a moveset overhaul

Honestly, I think sakurai deserves to win on bowser junior solely because he was one of my least wanted characters for smash four due to how lame he is, but he ended up being one of my favorite inclusions because of how well executed he was. I think the clown car was a really cool idea over just making him a boring small bowser, and the koopalings being the alternate costumes was so perfect. The final smash sucks though, I'll concede on that.

Sephi was robbed in the last one tbh, the PM mod you looked at was outdated and the newer Sephi mods (not based on Ult) are insanely good. And true to source material, which you seem on the fence about how important it is depending on the character. edit: Ridley robbed too. The moveset is so much more practical, and this is also an older build. He's actually menacing in this game. I know we're not paying attention to model/animations/etc but at least this looks like Ridley. Why does Ult Ridley look like paper mache but they had his model right in the Subspace movies? This Ridley was done right smh chat sucks

Rivals of aether just got four more characters, rollback, and new character art. Its not gonna "kill smash" but I think it can stand beside it now that the hype has died down.

While people might not be happy with Banjo's interpretation, you can't say Sakurai didn't try. Every last animation has so much love poured into it.

Sorry Coney, but fuck Geno. Why the hell did we get two Simon clones while Alucard was relegated to an assist trophy? I will never get over this (and yes, I am a SOTN fanboy). Alucard would have been SO sick in Smash.

That Banjo Moveset look worse the longer it kept going. I don't mind Banjo's Moveset in Ultimate I just wish it had better framedata to get more cool combos, the Banjo representation in Ultimate is surprisingly good if you think about it, I wish he got the flying mechanic, but the shockpad wasn't a bad replacement.

The only thing better about the Nerd banjo is the fact that it's not a projectile spammer. Ridley, We don't even need to look at fan movesets, any movesets are better than Sakurai. Truly seems like he never looked at a Ridley fight. Why is down B not pogo stick tail but something that literally never happened?

I don't know why everyone is asking for geno, in the games I don't really see much potential except for another stupid zoner.

It's easy to hate but it's hard to create I would love to see you create a character from scratch for this game and then your opinions may hold some ground and not to mention just because a character has similar moves to a character it doesn't mean that it's a copy paste it's more work then that do some research instead of make a quick buck off RU-vid
