It's good to see every Smash game still getting love.

Esam is the embodiment of hype this tournament. Bringing out Bowser against M2K, beating Nairo in both Brawl and Smash 4, and nearly beating Zero in winners finals of Smash 4. Not to mention his hilarious pop off when Fatality spiked with Falcon.

I expected something boring, but instead I got gold. Hilarious and awesome set.

Brawl Metaknight seems faster than Smash 4

I love watching competitive players playing Brawl, just because of how different everyone acts compared to watching other games. The crowd and the players smile and laugh because they all enjoy watching how much of a mess Brawl is.

People can say what they want: In my opinion this Brawl tournament was more entertaining than most Smash4 / Melee tournaments in the last time.

I actually think Brawl is an okay game. It may not look that exciting at first glance, but it brought some of the most hype moments in all of Smash. I could do without the tripping though.

ESAM is an awesome player, he seems so down to earth, so funny. M2K looked like he was having a blast with him.

The scary thing is, if Esam didn't SD twice, he would have had a real chance at beating M2K there. Sure, it wouldn't have been the whole set, but it would have been so damn hype.

M2K played excellent this whole tourney. I hope he puts time into Smash 4 and becomes one of the best in that game too but regardless, I'm happy to see him back on top after those hand injuries. Not sure if his hands will be ready to play Melee at his best yet but we'll see.

When Metaknight kills with his broken-ass recovery but Samus doesn't with a charge shot. I'm starting to understand why my friend insisted on playing Metaknight so much in this game.

This is the best kind of match, grand finals and they are both joking around and having fun

esam's my favorite smasher and i love seeing m2k actually enjoy himself so the camera gave me as much life as the actual match

M2K is my favorite smasher ever. Coming from a Melee purist (I know, I know), this was actually really fun to watch. Maybe the most fun I've ever seen M2K having in a GF.

Never been a fan of Brawl, but in small amounts it definitely has it's great moments. That first bowser stock from Esam was one of the best things i've ever seen.

Sakurai combating ledge re-grabs was God's Gift to this game. it promotes more engaging gameplay and prevents ledge camping.

I think this is brawl at its purest form, the Pika vs MK is a serious match, Esam loses bc Brawl, then proceeds to use Samus clearly taking the game less seriously, loses again bc Brawl (and bc he made some bad decisions on the match let’s be real), and then when he realizes victory is very unlikely, decides to use Bowser, clearly doesn’t caring about the result anymore and just having fun for the rest of the match I think this is low key what Sakurai’s vision for Brawl was, fun for casual friendly matches, bad for serious ultra competitive play

Brawl is such a beautiful game.

Honestly impressed with the play that’s Esam did with bowser, especially against a broken character like meta knight.

"That little tech Bowser has where if he comes into the ground with his Side B, he gets his double jump back." Doesn't touching the ground with any character get your double jump back?

This is the first time I finished watching a brawl match and it was hype. I'm sure I am never going to watch another one again.

Esam is now my favorite player😂 For the last like 3 tourneys I've seen him in he's gotten better results with a secondary or random than his main

m2k was looking unstoppable in this tournament. I hope that he does this well in melee and smash 4 at evo and apex this year.

Seeing Samus in Brawl makes me appreciate how much balancing has improved. The difference between the best and worst characters in Ultimate isn't a huge margin. Hopefully Banjo and Hero don't change that. Interested to see what the future holds for the series.
