I took the TC Wanderer for a short winters ride to a nearby waterfall called Sengan Waterfall.
Most of the road was wide with sweeping bends so it as a good test for the battery in winter.
I take a quick walk around tour of the waterfall and added some pictures.
Riding temperature was 5 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

Nice video Ray! You still have good weather there. A beautiful place to live. I part company with my Wander this coming Saturday. My commute last week was dangerous & hopeless. It was -6 degrees. All the performance dropped off & riding on the iced back roads is not good. I am going to a Zontes ZT350 T 19. A nice bike & brimming with tech. Worth trying Zontes if you have a dealer near you. Safe riding mate, look forward to your next video 👍🏻

Thanks Steve, I can understand your feelings on the Wanderer, brakes, suspension and winter battery performance. Ironically I have just finished a video measuring winter battery performance of the TC wanderer. All lithium ion batteries suffer from this including EV cars but the manufacturers never show this performance drop-off in any specs. The Zontes looks excellent. I think with grip heaters and a high screen it’s a perfect winter bike. Cheers, Ray👌

How does it handle the way back especially the parts uphill? I was looking at the Wanderer with double battery or the TC Max. Not interested in speed just range.

That’s an excellent question. Quite honestly, The TC Wanderer is under powered, especially when your battery is around 50% or below. Even if you have the two battery (64ah) it does struggle up steep hills as the battery voltage drops. When the Wanderer batteries reach 20% remaining it goes into a low power mode and the bike sometimes needs to be pushed up (assisted) up a steep hill. The key to any EV is the battery ampere hour rating (Ah). The higher the rating the better the range. The TC Max has a 72v 45Ah battery (only one) so it has good power for hills but hopeless range. The Wanderer with two batteries has 64Ah at 60v and a smaller motor so it’s range is fair but weak up hills. The new TC Wanderer Pro has a bigger motor so this will improve uphill performance. Ideally Any EV with a battery of 80Ah or over will give you reasonable range. I don't know if the Wanderer Pro will have higher rated batteries or if the 20% extremely low power mode has been removed. You can watch my up hill performance test for further details. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mJeLwJDe4go.html

Nice video! Is that equivalent 50cc ?

It's a 125cc equivalent from the factory. It’s more like a TC Max as a fair comparison. With the upgraded battery and controller it’s like a 400cc!
