Super Stock Feature - Buried Alive Derby 2022 

You have to give Yank props for trying out the '74 Caddy Hearst in his last derby. It's a really good battering ram, but seeing this in person, two things were concerning: 1. The wheelbase and overall length of the hearst is huge, which seems like it can be more of a target. Basically, the sheer size of it makes it more of a target than the other cars, which is can disadvantage more than a benefit. 2. Due to the dry weather, length of the program, number of heats/features, and probably much more, the track surface was real rough which is not good for a wheelbase that long. In between the dust and the ruts over the course of the show, it looked like Yank couldn't get good traction or grip to turn and then target to put a real hit on someone. It would be good for future shows if TJ tilled the soil in between days and had a basic roller to smooth things out once in awhile in between heats. Probably a little more water would have helped too. But man, the holes, creases and ruts were getting really bad towards the end of the show, especially this feature. I am looking forward to someone (even Decker) claiming Yank's hearst and seeing what they can do to improve it. This was the first iteration of what could eventually be a really good car from what I've seen.
