You know one thing you gotta admit when it comes to fighting Rufus is in his own right a genius as his martial art is entirely self-taught from watching karate videos. Plus he is, to a very small degree, able to use Ki. Quite the man.

Quite possibly the most badass fat guy in a fighting game. He made an entirely new style of Kung Fu simply by watching corny Japanese movies and without any special training, is capable of channelling his Ki to generate shockwaves and vacuums. All while being borderline obese.

I know a lot of people dislike Rufus, but in my book he gets a pass just by virtue of his defining character trait being that he hates Ken almost as much as I do.

I can only wonder what sort of antics would ensue if rufus and ken got handcuffed together XD

I'm not gonna lie, this character is BADASS! His theme is friggin awesome, he hilarious to look at, and I have beaten over 70 Oni players online with this dude. Rufus has to return in another street fighter.

Can you imagine if Rufus was SF6 and we got a remix of this song? "Ha! Looks like I finally won Ken Masters! You lost your precious family, but my sweet Candy is still with me after all these years."

I want Rufus for Street Fighter V honestly. For him to challenge Ken Masters once more. xD

Y'know, I never was able to fully get into Rufus, but boy, do I appreciate him. Also, his theme is pretty freaking catchy, n' I get it stuck in my head several times.

Would want him to appear in Street Fighter 6 DLC his Story should be Giving Ken Master a Helping Hand from being Framed by a Bad Guy like Rufus would atleast Support Ken Master this time instead of Trying to find and beat him.

The theme has a Hsien-Ko's theme feel to it, where they add in battle grunts as part of the music. Which is great sounding.

Rufus should definitely be in the next Marvel vs Capcom game. It'd be hilarious.

Believe it or not Rufus is actually a pretty good character, ive seen Rufus players take down top notch Akuma players and Ryu players as well as other top tier characters. He may look silly looking but don't let appearances fool you

Fat guys tend to be the strong-but-slow, hard-hitters, right? Screw that, because Rufus is actually a SPEED-based character! I don't care if someone else has done this before (and I don't even want to hear about Bob from "Tekken") because it's freakin' awesome.

All who think Rufus should become a DLC in Street Fighter V, say "Aye" in a reply.

He's funny and has a lot more personality than half the cast and has a unique fighting style he made up himself from watching kung fu movies. Ryu on the other hand has the personality of tree bark and about an interesting a fighting style as watching paint dry.

i remember before trying to play the character, i assumed he would be far more rude than he actually is. I mean, he is arrogant and not too bright, but asides from that he is'nt that disrespectful of opponents when he don't confuse them with Ken Masters.

King Cobra was the name of the famous Muay Thai fighter who was challenged by Japanese slef style karate master Mas Oyama of Japan. Mas Oyama was a well experienced high level karate master who traveled to Thailand to take on the best of all their Muay Thai fighters and surprisingly he succeeded even against King Cobra. Mas Oyama was the inspiration for many fighting game characters (SF Ryu and KOF Takuma) while King Cobra inspiration for others (SF Sagat) Not sure about Rufus' old design tho

To elaborate, Rufus believes himself to be the best fighter in the USA and thus isn't exactly happy about how much publicity Ken receives that claims him to be the best fighter in the USA. To prove that he deserves the title, Rufus decides to search for Ken and defeat him in a fight.

That's the joke. He's meant for comedic relief, even though in reality his skill shouldn't be underestimated.
