I don’t think there’s any right or wrong way to gralloch a deer providing there’s no contamination of the meat, I’ll definitely consider leaving the anus in next time I get a roe but I do prefer a suspended gralloch and try to set myself the challenge of getting no blood on me wot so ever ! I realise that’s almost impossible with larger species, thanks keep up the good work

Those ttsx bullets are no joke and are very destructive. Ethical kills yes, but need to be careful in where to place the shot as to not destroy to much meat. Hopefully next year if im able to harvest another deer I'll l be putting it thru the lungs and not the shoulder for a heart shot. I destroyed a lot of meat and i didnt even hit bone. I also agree on how you field dress the deer. Don't hack it up just get the guts out and rinse it down when you get home.
