Keep living the life, Nathan! Thanks for producing and sharing all of the informative & entertaining content. I'm no stranger to crowns and root canals... Hope they settle down quickly for you.
Nice trailer. Longevity of the floor will increase greatly if you fill the countersunk holes with used oil at least annually. I also just a light coating of used hydraulic fluid on my trailer floor after filling the countersunk holes. My current trailer floor is 19yrs old and still in great shape, even with sitting outside everyday.
“Fricken bucket hit the wood” Very funny Nathan. I was cracking’ up. We have all done something silly like that. No worries though, just blame it on the teeth. Hope your feeling better soon and congrats on the trailer. It’s a beauty!
Real nice trailer Nathan congratulations that tool box is awesome. Yes sir I remember the big reveal on the wind chimes back a long time ago. Excited to see the next big reveal what’s going to be loaded up on the new IronHorse and brought home to your operation.
Thank you for sharing your quarter sawing technique. People talk about it alot but this is the first time I have seen it on a bandmill. Nice trailer and well priced.
It’s hard to beat the beauty of quarter sawn Nathan. Kind Thanks for sharing! Great Mountain Music too! The Lovely trailer must be for a mobile hot tub the whole family can enjoy! The chickens and the most hateful cat on YT, the dog and you guys of course. I recon Bruno will want a diving board. Thanks again and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Get well soon, sir! Working with a newly pulled tooth sucks. But you still delivered an interesting and enjoyable video. I learned a lot on this channel. Keep it up, sir!
Been watching for years now. You are amazing. I'll never have a sawmill, however I learn more things about quality lumber every time You share. Thanks Nathan. From the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Guess its like making a square board from a round pole.
Great video, sorry about the dentist, bet you are all good now! Brilliant trailer at a brilliant price, my guess is you have purchased a old WR141JE tank for your inner preper!
Thanks Nathan for answering about the rust on the “ Waterfall “ “ Wind chimes “ I have seen how you look after your kit and thought it strange if it was rust.
Hey listening to you talk is part of what draws me to your videos bro, your accent is awesome and I think you do a great job narrating. And tooth pain is probably the worst pain you can experience in natural life so all things considered i think you're doing a dang good job!
hi there well i don't do those other places , but it is time for a skid steer , very handy tool and strong , i like the one i have because the hi flotation tires and the wheels turn , i can go anywhere and not leave a mark on the ground ,john
Now I’ve watched your channel for about 2 years now and spent about 20 years living in the south, and lived around farmers all my life, so I think can translate most of what many southern speak is, or so I thought, until this very video. You started it off saying that you hat “Two Crayons” to get put on later, and was lookin forward to that. It wasn’t til you explained that your going to the Dentist that you said “Crowns” not “Crayons” LOL! Guess I still have more to learn about Tennessean speak, don’t I!
Long time subbed, just have been too preoccupied to watch much. Your accent is southern American and if they don't like it, they can lump it. Tell them to move to S. Louisiana if they want to here an accent. Your grammar and pronunciation are fine sir, quit worrying about it. You seem like a really good man and also someone who is really good at what you do. That's what counts.
Nathan, glad you survived your trip to your dentist. Very nice trailer. I have looked and looked to find the purpose of the "wind chimes". They just seem to drag along the log/boards and I can't see what they do when you saw boards and cants..
Nice trailer that'll give you access to far away logs that'll pay for the trailer in no time. The usability for tractor and equipment transport is a plus.
Decent price on the trailer. I was looking at the aluminum ones - nice and light but nowhere near as durable as the steel; one with payload enough for my compact tractor (maybe 2-3 tons, I forget) was going for around $5K. So for about 1/3 more, you got way more payload and a more durable unit.
Crowns are definitely no fun. I’ve got several with the #6 having been Re done 3 dang times in my lifetime. I told my dentist that’s enough money on one tooth no more
Quarter-sawn oak? Bucket of water? It's back to the old days, folks. Nice surprise that oak had in storage for you, Nathan. Must have been to lessen the pain of paying a visit to the dentist. That trailer looks great. Cheers.
I had a crown break on Wed. It was the back molar on the left side of my jaw. Went in to get it looked at and found out the tooth in front of it was cracked too. And my mouth is still aching. I told my dentist, who is awesome, if I ever go to find a new dentist, I am finding a tiny Asian lady with small hands.
Great video again Nathan. Love the quarter sawing. Question - does the Woodmizer control system prevent the blade from hitting other parts of the mill? I’d assume so but always wondered if the blade can hit the hydraulic vise arm. Thanks!
Double nice! Getting that trailer in Coeburn saves you from paying the high TN sales tax, and no VA tax since VA charges the tax when you tag a trailer. 🙂
I believe Norstar is their truck bed division, and Ironbull is their trailer division. * Every once in awhile when I'm working out in my woodworking shop, out of nowhere the words "medullary rays' pops into my head.
If the machine has steel tracks, you might want to weld a square bar to the trailer where it transitions from ramp to flat bed. Otherwise it might get exciting when the machine pivots over.
Hey, why don't you write that book that has the missing information. You could hire a ghostwriter to interview you or just take excerpt from your videos and then that missing book will be available for other guys that want to learn how to get around a piff. BTW, the new trailer looks great I'm sure you'll get a lot of good.
