Car lots are closed in Ohio and Indy on Sundays. Not sure of the other states. I enjoy the older architecture also especially turn of century houses. Like the channel though. Keep it up!
The reason for London being so full of MB S-Classes and super cars is that "regular" people can no longer afford to drive there rather than using public transport. The UK has taken the war on cars to the next level years ago. Car insurance that's only valid for *specific* drivers (got 4 drivers? need to pay a separate policy for each of them!) , "congestion" fees that absolutely ruin you to the tune of hundreds of dollars per month in an ever-outward-growing congestion zone that will soon reach into the suburbs - and last, not least you have to be richer than a Manhattanite to actually live there. London has basically been boiled down into a tourist attraction you can barely afford to visit ($1200 hotel rooms the size of an average US bathroom, heh) - nice to visit, impossible to live in. Native Londoners, share your thoughts :)
The statue on Bond Street is called Hidden, by David Breuer-Weil. "With Hidden I brought together in one piece many of my concerns as an artist, partially bidden or submerged elements, in this case a whole figure partially revealed in the vein-like, flesh like Vatican red marble, a paradox as flesh will decompose but this stone is potentially timeless, it could last for millennia, this breathing, emerging, mysterious human presence I love the idea of bringing steaked, coloured marble to life through carving, suggesting the antithesis between the stone and a mortal breathing human struggling to blend in to the environment."
