1. Great video. 2. Greater cars and builds by both teams. 3. Greatest track car ever! 4. From personal experience, biggest difference is Reliability. At the track, you will spend more time in the garage wrenching your turbo while listening to the superchargers whine on the track!

I’d gladly trade away 15 hp for the smooth, linear power delivery of a roots blower. Dealing with nonlinear turbo spool in a SWB car like a Miata would get frustrating.

LS Swap Miata vs Corvette. I am curious what gen Corvette would be equivalent to a Miata with an LS.

I think this is a good illustration of the difference of mentalities between setups. The NA probably has faster times in it but I think I would still want to drive the NB. For me it's all about the feel and the ease.

Even a stock Miata is fun as hell to drive. A friend let me borrow one for about a month. It was unfortunately automatic but still fun to drive. They handle well and even with a small power plant they are fairly quick. I think the price of the newer ones is getting a little out of control however.

Lightweight track car I go supercharger, ultimately they are usually slower but more enjoyable to me. They can be built so differently that I would have both if I could.

Obviously a tuned lancer vs tuned subie could be nice. But it might be more interesting and unique to see a comparison between a tuned lotus evora vs the electric evora we have seen on your channel couple of times. Ls swap porsche vs flat six porsche track battle would be great too!

The NA was probably a depowered steering rack which is a powersteering rack with all the power components removed. Definitely an acquired taste, but once you get used to it you can sling it around like a powersteering car.

old school Track Ready, Mitsubishi DSM (Talon,Eclipse,Galant vr4, etc) vs a Late model track packaged, performance car. example, 2018 Mustang with level 2 track pack vs 400HP AWD Eagle Talon.

You really need to be smoother on your inputs. You can probably unleash an extra 3-5% more grip if your smoother!

No power steering is great once you're used to it, bump steers a lot more than with power steering(at least in my car), but I feel like it's made me a better driver

I had a very loud M62 blower in my 04 Cavalier (swapped in the LSJ, blower was ported, small pulley, etc)... i loved the screaming sound. But the power was lost in the top end compared to my turbocharged 91 miata. Id say yes, you 'could' pit the two against eachother, but here its different gens and features so its not realistic. You need to take a naturally aspirated NA, turbo NA, supercharged NA, and compare them. Then take an na NB, turbo NB, and sc NB and compare those. My 91 has AC, PS, ABS, etc and i removed the power steering and A/C for the intercooler piping to fit, and to free up a lot of weight. I like the heavier, more precise feel of a non ps NA... but man do i miss the A/C in south Texas lol. both cool cars. neither is better than the other. different tracks and roads each will be in its own advantages.
