i have a grand prix gtp super charger v6 3.8 i believe that turbo is the next level of the super charger there is your own preference ofcouse but im telling u turbo is wayy better the acceleration is alot higher depending on the car u have

the stock airbox on the supercharged v6 engines in the Audi's completely masks the sound of the supercharger. so if you don't like the noise you can just keep that stock. but most people like the noise, so a lot of people swap to a cold air intake.

Yes you can its called twincharger(ing). Downside is really tight fitment only certain vehicles can accommodate both at the same time (even if heavily modifying engine bay for clearance) the maintenance an replacing parts is a hassle not to mention costly plus inconvenience as you will have a harder time to work on the car say for the starter as a example.. Its not as common because the longevity an cost outweighs the benefits significantly.

both are awesome . . I have owned a 91Ef si d16z6 with a Jackson supercharger no one could keep up with. me back in 2008 lol . and I have owned a Evo8 stock 4g63 with a T3 😈 by far the fasted car I have owned . the sounds of the turbo is what I love . now I own a Audi a4 1.8t .

+Razmalia for the B5 I'm just going simple bolt on upgrades. nothing special just want 300Hp. since it's a FWD and all . trying to get a B5 S4 stick shift but there hard to come by now days so I think I may get me another Evo may go 9 this time . . .

+Bryan Williams long story short . my grams and gramps passed away and I had to sell the car because my family was acting like stingy fucks . so yea had to let go of the evo. no biggie I bought that one I could buy me another one . but when I drove my buddy's A4 Idk I just had to have one . so I bought one lol. saving up for a S4 at this moment. . .

yeah sure lag no matters big turbo starts from 2300 rpm small turbo for example in my diesel starts from 1800 rpm. Why do you think i would not care to my car faster accelerating ?

+InvictusFirst Diesels are different there mainly for hauling weight which us why there more torque generally there not supposed to be fast but even the 1000hp trucks only run 10s at the strip

I've got a bmw x5m and when you kick it into sport mode and stomp it in 2nd-3rd you can hear those turbos spinning 🤤 Sounds like a jet taking off.

Although I am a supercharger fan, I have to admit that some turbo's do sound good. Not the ones where you only hear the blow off valve, those suck, but the other ones sound good.

The thing is that turbos can make so many different noises, and superchargers can only make that whine. Superchargers are great, but for sound alone, I think turbo takes the cake.

For sound, alone, I'd say N/A is, "best," but turbos definitely have a nice sound associated with the shove as it builds compared to blowers for sure.

for sound I give it to the supercharger, the way it makes a V8 grunt. It makes it such that NA engines dont sound as good as a supercharged version(for V8s) at least
