Supercross 2000 is a racing game for the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation based on the motorbike racing sport of supercross. It was released at the end of 1999 by EA Sports, and includes campaign and multiplayer modes, as well as a "free play" feature for practicing tricks, similar to many other trick containing sports games. Supercross 2000 supports all of Nintendo's Pak peripherals. Controller Pak support is included to save settings, seasons and ghosts. Rumble Pak support is available to feel all the jumps and bumps. Expansion Pak support in the form of a high-res mode is also included.

Recorded using an Ultra HDMI modded N64 console with an Elgato game capture HD60s capture card using a real game cartridge.
So who's looking forward to the N64 Mini Classic console and do you think this will end up on it? What do you think the top 5 or top 10 super cross motorbike games of all time are? Like me do you love road rash or games like that from the top gear series?

I think the animations and physics on this look more realistic than a lot of even modern day motocross games. It might not have been implemented perfectly, but I can appreciate what they were going for with it. Many MX games just allow you to zip around a track like you're riding BMX, taking 180 degree turns fast and effortlessly. To my knowledge, still nobody has made a game that truly simulates riding when you have to do it correctly, or be thrown off.

I prefer road rash 64 to supercross 2000 it looks a lot better in terms of controls and overall fun.

Another solid review there Glenn, I've never played this title but I certainly enjoyed playing Excitebike 64, though even that title has a learning curve, the controls at the very least feel robust and it feels fair overall I'd say. It's one title I may well go back to and put some more time into, I haven't really tried it out for a while aside from testing the Virtual Console version on the Wii U... these days though, I much prefer to play N64 games on original hardware.

I remember it took me a while to get good at this and figure out that you can’t just take corners at Mach 2. And you need to pull up on a lot the bumps.

nah, I reviewed the game years ago in an n64 beta project episode which was the finished version anyway so dont see any reason to pick the game up if its not offering anything new. I think its for collectors only really

I checked out supercross 2001 on emulator and it ups the frame rate and the bike handles! Give it crack if you haven’t already

Excitebike and Top Gear Hyperbike are def superior games to Supercross 2000, but the game is a lot better than Jeremy McGrath, i'm surprised that some people disliked the game considering the fact that the game is fully customizable from the controls to even the bike's atributes and yes we can create an biker, but the opitions are very limited.

Excitebike 64 was the only one that got it right on the 64. This one and Jeremy McGraths were the worst. Hyper bike is fun in a different kind of way

Terrible game compared to Excitebike, I rented it once and thought something was seriously wrong with the controls. Pretty good early example of EA's now famous shovelware honestly.
