I got 3 that I can share; I never liked or cared about the PS1 or any of its games. Indefinite towards RPGs (super picky anyway)and don’t care that much about fighting games or horror games. I guess the N64 just appeals way more to me. Everyone craps on the N64 controller but I find it comfy and unique, there’s so much you can do with it. It’s perfect for FPS, 3D platformers, and action adventure games. My 3 favorite genres. No problem at all with it being a 3D console but I really wish there were more 2D games, they would have looked great.
I played this as a kid almost every day. I actually once dreamed my mom got me JFG2 just to wake up, run to my n64 and realize it was just a dream. Boy was I disappointed :( lol
I wish this game wasn't that expensive on the digital store. I played it on Xbox Game Pass, but however I want to own it, because as a hard core Aliens fan and of top down shooters this game is a most own.
I could never abide by how muddy N64 games looked because of the aggressive antialiasing. Legends on PS1 may have been rougher looking, but it gave it more of a 3d pixel art style adding to it's overall charm, and that was further enhanced by it's prequel, and sequel both keeping the same style, but with better modeling work. Overall a Gem of a series, that wasn't accepted well at release, but has a loyal fanbase, and commands a high price if your looking to get your hands on physical copies of the games. The N64 version is by far the inferior version because of all the sacrifices made to stuff it onto the N64 Still Can't forgive Capcom for cancelling Legends 3
I came to a dead end in the beginning of the game. Nothing to jump on, no option to climb, retraced my steps and continued to come to the dead end...mabey i got a defective game i thought and never picked it back up....😆....and i paid 89 dollars for it back in the 90s.
Gotta be Egyptian and Aztec. Simple because there was no internet. It took me forever as a kid to master the game and unlock them. When I did I had no idea they existed. It blew my mind. Plus after maybe years of playing the game getting new content was unbelievable
Tim Weaver mentioned the Rare interview around thirteen years later in an issue of _X-Box World 360_ . He described it as terrifying, as he was expecting maybe two or three members of the team, but was faced with the entirety of Rare. Maybe he was traumatised, because he remembered it as 22 members, not nine - though he did correctly state he had people standing _behind_ him (as seen at 12:57), which made his feeling of intimidation even worse.
After 2 years Nintendo added 23 more games. Still no widescreen options (similar to Goldeneye) still no way to change those borders, and limited button mapping. (Can’t map the C buttons to other buttons) What are your thoughts 2 years later?
Stopped using it after a few weeks, have real hardware which I prefer over nintendos lacklustre emulation efforts on switch. Hopefully one day they’ll put some effort into their back catalogue
Holy shit I’ve spent years trying to even remember this game! Me and my dad on the n64 would have battles! Oh my goodness thank you for helping me refind this classic game I have been looking for, for years!
