I love how Trigger knew this song was going to be a hit, and basically played song throughout the film. Hell they even have it on loop on the title screen for the DVD, and edited it to that the most hype parts are on repeat.
How is it that almost every Trigger work has the "actually, it was aliens all along" plot twist, but somehow it's surprising and seems original every time?
@@majikai9077 its kinda Japanese Gibberish. Something that combines syllables in a pattern that sounds like words but arnt. So Mahari Yumate is as Japanese. As much as : Bla Bla Bla is english
@@InShane162 I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure that's a fair comparison. I know some Japanese, as it seems you might too. I've never heard people use those sound combos for anything but this song. Blah blah, on the other hand, has a significance in English and is used in various contexts.
@@majikai9077 its a poor comparision fair. But its hard to make up a Matra in your own language and expect others to understand the comparison. Maybe a better comparison would be Scatting but scat in jazz has a much more casual vibe
@@InShane162 Something to consider. I've studied linguistics, so now I'm curious if a mantra is or isn't part of a language. Like, is bibbidi babbidi boo English? Or if something is based on a language, does that make it part of it? You don't have to reply if you don't want. My linguistics' brain is just ticking.
It feels like it was written like one. I love the movie but the pacing in some part feels like they had to speed over some of the more 'talky parts' Its a problem at alot of these passion project anime movies have. Like Red line. The world is so imagintive and flushed out but theres no way a single movie can answer as many questions as the viewer has.
InShane162 the animation, ost, and acting in general of this film is absolutely amazing, but I really do agree with the pacing. The movie left lots of unanswered questions about many of the characters in my opinion which was a huge shame.
"I will resurrect it, your loving heart. Shed your body. Now, it's time to return to your senses." These lyrics play right when the camera cuts to Galo is in his cell during Lio's rampage. 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
@@frog-cw1ib EXACTLY. I always wondered why they chose to cut to Galo at that part when the lyrics say: "Kimi no kokoro"(your heart). And why did Galo gasp on cue?
Netherwolf6100 actually it was confirmed that originally in that scene, the tear marks on the dragon weren’t supposed to be there and Galo just had the feeling that Lio was crying and in pain. The tears were added so the audience could see that Lio was in pain
Really wish Trigger had just made this another original series instead of one film. I love all of the characters and the world, and there was so much potential for character growth.
I would so love like a little mini series. Like Galo helps Lio(and the other former Burnish) to adjust to life as they rebuild everything. And like during that he gets to learn about their lives before the movie. So we could have more for this because frankly I need more of this in my life. I spent the whole movie laughing at how over the top Galo was and pissed at how the Burnish were treated.
it's a title made almost entirely for the movie, it's just can't be considered as OST as it is made by a group with a publisher that is not from the filmmaking team, it's still forever linked to promare as Promare/Lio's theme
You know, I would definitely be game for that AU. (Lio’s the Rose Bride in this scenario, right? Galo’s just too foolhardy to be anything but the Duelist there.) I would also be 100% game for its inverse, in which Utena and Anthy get a big awesome mecha and Anthy also gets to be a dragon of flames and anger for a couple hours.
If a chick cannot break out of its shell, it will die without ever being born We are the chick and the world is our egg If we don't Crack the world's shell, we will die without being born Smasj the world's shell For the revolution of the world
I won’t ever forgive you......I’m gonna make you pay......KRAY FORSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!! Now your gonna feel it....THE RAGE OF A BURNISH!!!! -Lio Fotia
AHH I JUST WISH WE COULD HAVE MORE PROMARE LIKE AN ACTUAL SERIES EXCEPT THE WHOLE PLOT BASICALLY CONCLUDED IN THE MOVIE ***spoiler*** WHEN THE PROMARE LEFT EARTH AND THEN NO MORE BURNISH PPL. ugh it was such a good movie.
@@legendarylitening the visuals were great, but that's just what I love about studio trigger. They KNOW how to animate action. If you look at kill la kill, promare, darling in the franxx there's like no still shots. Everytime someone's moving. It is something trigger just knows how to do.
Just watched this movie today and to put it simply I loved it, Trigger at it's best for me. Promare had everything from a great story , loveable character's , over the top action , emotion , humor , awesome music and of course great animation. Truly it had everything, definitely looking foward to rewatching it again. I already miss Promare and of course Galo Thymos. He is definitely one of my favourite character's ever, I miss him and his burning firefighters soul 🔥
This one is amazing, that's true. But Goku first SSJ is the most iconic thing that happened on a long time on the Anime community, and only another show of the scale of DBZ will be able to replicate the same feeling through the world
Mondy, 8/16/21 I found this movie by accident and I remember years ago someone shipped those two but I completely forgot about it until I saw the picture. I finished this movie, which I thought it was a show, and holy shit was it so good! I've never heard of it until today where I fully understood what it was actually about. The soundtrack was amazing! And the graphics as well.
When they first showed the Burnish spinning and just hearing the screams, it gave me chills and made me cry, it was so intense and everything was done so well
happy 5th anniversary promare!!! :3 that title for the album fits it so well as i really loved this movie watching it with my lil sister that i wish it would get a series showing more of it's world & trigger do more crossovers of their/former gainax works.
//PROMARE SPOILERS . . . . . . . . Fun fact: At the end of the film, Lio alongside Kray and Vulcan was originally going to be arrested for setting Promepolis on fire. Before he's taken away, he's asked by Galo if he'd like to join Burning Rescue after he gets out. This scene was cut due to being too gloomy.
These divine guitar Riffs straight from the Golden era paired with HER voice its just unforgetable and just straight outta the 4th Dimension. Like you can feel the Promare she felt the Moment she Recorded this song. Damn i would like to thank her personally, like swanao hroyuki, the old Myth&roid and aimer at least before them or i die... I love it 🤍🔥🖤
@@Squ_iddy Well aside from it's animated by ufotable, there's nothing really special about that anime. Another generic fantasy anime with typical mythical dragons and such.
@@Squ_iddy The Tales series wasn't even a mainstream franchise like ufotable's other work like TYPE-MOON ( probably their most involved work in their time of becoming a studio ) and Demon Slayer.
@@eclipsewaves That isn't really relevant. Mainstream doesn't = special or good. Demon Slayer is mainstream but a lot of manga readers say it's generic and only has the animation going for it. In fact, Vivy is an original animated by WIT that isn't mainstream, yet the majority like it.
I wish they would make a Promare 2 where Galo and Lio travel to the parallel universe of Promare and meet the people there. I feel like it’d be very interesting.
When THAT ONE, THE ONE Moment Hits and rips apart all that stored up serotonin & dopamine i feel like i can beat up any Boss IRL ! 🔥🔥🔥 Like i havent watched the movie since 2 years and i wake up having this playing in my head before i even reality im awake, randomly straight outta nowhere, freakin great day to be alive 🤪
I really wish that this would become a series And the flame will come back to lio and stuff for the story And there will be a new villain : P Don't mind me I'm imagining things here😂
I was actually planning on writing a fanfic with this trop , lio and the burnish are slowly getting their power back for some reason , and they're freaking out about it , lio (being the boss ) makes an order not to tell a single soul about it , and shit goes down from there
If you listen to this as a romantic song between Galo and Lio it adds sooo much depth bro... this song is fire. NOTHING is coming between me and those September screenings 😤
I recently watched this movie and loved it! Every time i hear this song i cant help but think of final fantasy 15s somnus piano song in the very beginning. Also that gurren lagann type ending had me super hyped! I jumped right up!
@@phillipnguyen8138 You can't say there is nothing between them! Lio is clearly a tsundere. Moreover there is this famous "kiss scene" (yeah... Perhaps not... buuuuuuut...)
@@poetofthefall4413 the katakana is right above the english lyrics during the gibberish. one of katakana's uses is to spell out words in different languages (for example, if you wanted to write the world in japanese instead of using the actual japanese word for it, you'd put ザワルド, or za warudo).
wish they would remake this film as an anime series instead I felt it was rushed near the end but it was still amazing studio trigger can make amazing animation i especially love the SSSS Series so nostalgic
I don’t know if there’s a precedent, but it would be so cool to get an anime spinoff series. Imagine Lio joining Burning Rescue (maybe he’s equipped with tech that gives him pyrokinesis in order to reign in out of control blazes). Perhaps the villains are some evil Promare who have found another dimensional breach and are hellbent on turning Earth into a copy of their world. Heck, maybe one of these evil Promare “possesses” Lio, giving him back his immense power, but also acting as the devil whispering in his ear to burn everything, and it’s up to Galo to help his new friend fight the demons within.
