Great video Bill. so true about traveling to other schools. In the 1980s I did some traveling to other schools as well. Met one of my lifelong karate friends at a tournament in Toronto. We got to talking in the parking lot after the competition and he invited me to sit in as a guest instructor at his black belt testing the next day. He ended up letting me and my kid brother stay overnight at his dojo for a couple more days of training. Great fun. As a thank you, my brother and I, after everyone else had left that first night, cleaned his dojo from top to bottom. It was funny because some of his color belts opened up the school early the next day, and when my buddy arrived he said to his students "Wow! what did you guys do, come in early just to clean the place?" They told him "that it wasn’t us, it was like this when we came in!" :-) The respect and trust earned between competitors in the ring carries over into all aspects of our lives.
Bill we would all love you on the joe Rogan podcast telling your full story! I’m sure you know he brings you up all the time. I hope you guys can connect and make it happen
@@mattEstrada1001 I agree. But ask BJJ practitioners and Joe Rogan, they will tell you that BJJ is the only realistic and unbeatable martial art. And of course, they will boast about the Gracies.
@@officialbillsuperfootwalla1818 I remember my dad brought me to your fight in Miami. You KOd a local street fighter type called Herbie(?) Black guy who had beat local black belts...then met you.
he's 5'2 or maybe 5'4".......he is a little guy, and he walks with a limp, and his back is all crooked. Least likely looking fighter. He is also very charming
