Booster Gold is a great superhero because he's probably what most normal people would be like if they got super powers. They would help people and try to be good but also look out for themselves, enjoy the fame and try and earn as much money as possible. People only hate him because he's not a cookie cutter "good guy" superhero like Superman, Spiderman etc.

Booster Gold is awesome! Watch 'Justice League Unlimited- The Greatest Story never told'. Yes his origin story is kinda cool, but his motives for coming to the past and his lack of any skill or moral guide to be a superhero makes for a great comedy action set-up. This episode shows how to make the character work.
Yeah I could see an episode of Legends of Tomorrow where they meet Booster Gold and maybe a couple girls find attractive then that disappears when they see he’s a bit of an ego maniac. And they’re not sure whether to believe him when he tells them of a threat. And similar to that justice league episode we see Booster Gold’s ego taken down a peg, he suffers some consequences for his narcissism, and does mature and rise up to do the right thing.

I first ran into Booster Gold as a early teenager when given the comic book as a b-day gift. Loved him from the start, although never followed him because I never became a comic book reader. He was this normal guy trying to make something of himself after he lost everything. Sure there was a dark side to his reasoning and methods, but he honestly did some good. The under-rated position is a fun running gag that would be lost if he actually became popular. A very complicated character that at the same time is his own comic relief.
I wonder if they'll bring Booster Gold onto Legends of Tomorrow. They already brought Jonah Hex & the second Green Arrow Connor Hawke, why not Booster Gold?

Booster Gold motive of becoming famous and popular is almost looks like a villains motive and not a superhero type of motive. But hey at least something different to the story. To be honest, I always hate the cliché that a genius nerd boy is always a good guy while a tough boy who play american football or basketball is bad guy or a jerk. In nowadays 21st century, I find out that a nerd always cause trouble such as hack computer system etc while many tough guy who play football is actually a good person in real life
I really liked that Justice League episode it was so funny but also informative. I always wanted them to make another episode with him in it. So many possibilities wasted cause the network it was on was run by idiots.
He's my second most favourite superhero behind my most favourite vigilante Wayne. But seriously, Booster Gold is 👌👌👌. I've read 'Generation Lost' of the Brightest Day and that became my favourite comic because it had Booster and Captain Atom (Nathanadael Adam). Actually, in some cases, Booster Gold can be REALLY serious if there's a really huge problem.
I think this idea has a lot of potential, perhaps not exactly how they retconned it but potential none-the-less. He starts out like pretty much ANYONE who developed the ability to be a hero overnight would. Most of us probably would try to be good people but at the end of the day not many of us have enough saint in us to do it without any expectations of getting fortune or even fame for our deeds. And that's exactly what he does, he's still a good guy and isn't going to just ignore some kid in peril because it won't get him money, but he (and most people) probably wouldn't continue putting themselves in danger for nothing. And as mentioned this has a great base for expansion. Rather than time the traveling shenanigans they had how about you instead have him become invested in our time? He develops friends, maybe a family, and eventually his deeds change the future to the point he can't use his knowledge of the future to help him anymore. Now he's invested in our reality, he doesn't lose that human edge he had from the start but now his continued deeds as a superhero start meaning more than just the money/fame because he has something to lose in our time. I could just be rambling but it seems like there's potential for something interesting there.

never cared for booster. also what's wrong with an athlete betting on himself to win? I mean I can see problems with them betting on themselves to lose because they would throw the game, but it seems like they'd work extra hard to win if they're betting on themselves to win.

why is everybody bashing on booster gold?! he is very underrated guy who did become a superhero for the glory but deep down he will put his life on the line to do what's right!
I liked the second series really well. Booster finds out he's the most important person ever... but he can't tell anyone. He tries to save Barbara Gordon numerous times and fails, over and over. But he keeps trying, earning Batmans respect. In 52 he faked his death and assumed a new identity as Supernova to smoke out the plot of Mr. Mind. He secretly essentially started the Time Masters, but goes down in history as an idiot.
It really never made any sense how he was confused for Green Lantern, considering he doesn't wear any green, and the GL in JL/U is black. The people who confused him for GL must've never seen him before. But with that said, it's still pretty funny.
Booster Gold is the shit, i'm only just started to learn about him and i all ready think he's a 10/10. I guess you can say he has received my certified gold seal of approval
Why is this guy not one of DC's most popular heroes??? He's basically DC's Deadpool, but he maybe even a bit better(I saw this as a huge Deadpool fan). If they made a good Booster Gold movie(hopefully not connected to the DCEU), his popularity could Skyrocket just like Guardians of the Galaxy. Ugh the untapped potential is killing me.
There is a new Rumour going around about Warner Bros hired Greg Berlanti to write and direct a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle Team up movie he described it as a superhero buddy cop film which will infact be part of the shared DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE!!!
