I totally think you should, if only because Tyler's Superman has gotten waaaay more opportunities to shine in the new season (that's airing now) as well as the last 2/3rds of his first season. Plus, you made this version at a time when he only had 5 episodes under his belt of his own show. Now though, there's a whole lot more footage of him that you could use. Which would mean that you could have a more equally balanced vid between all of the Supermen... As is though, this is STILL an absolutely wonderful, even sublime, vid! :c ) So, if you chose NOT to update it with newer/more footage, then I would completely & totally understand. Either way? Cheers, mate! For an excellent job, very well done. :D

Agreed. Christopher Reeve's body language and voice difference between Clark Kent and Superman is what makes him #1 in my book. The hunched shoulders, the higher pitched unsteady voice, the simple gestures that he does as Clark Kent all change when he's Superman. I like Cavil but his Kent is far too much like his Superman.

@@waltblackadar4690; because Reeve's Kent never existed unless in the movies. Like Raimi's Peter Parker. In comics Clark Kent always is portrayed as discrete but very wise and always acting in the backrooms. Sometimes getting a scoop that no one else has or often with his tongue-in-cheek tirades about the episode. His classic fourth wall break with a blink is a trademark in the 60's animations. In the 90's he gets more focus in a sort of expansion of the character in a effort of John Byrne to reproduce the success of this approach in X-Men and Alpha Flight who shows the heroes in more "normal human" moments. The mediocre Clark just exists in the movies...

I like the new Superman on Supergirl. Dean Cain was great. Christopher Reeves is a legend. So is MY Superman, George Reeves and not one clip for the man who started it all, Kirk Alyn & Bud Collyer on radio. Which is a shame. They should never be forgotten.

For me it is about how well they portray the character overall. People tend to confuse his CK with his Superman. CK is who he is and Superman is what he does.

That depends on which era of Superman you are talking about. For most of the character's existence Superman was very much the real identity and Clark was the disguise. It wasn't really until the Byrne reboot after the first Crisis that it was reversed, so it's only about 35 of Superman's 84 years that what you said is true of the character.

@@RobEmmer412 I'd argue Bryne's wasn't quite there either. Too distant from his kryptonian side. Clark is who he is, but that's also the summation of his kryptonian side, which pre-crisis emphasized more, and bryne emphasized the clark more.

I can appreciate all the others who played Superman but I do believe its because of Christopher Reeves and the total essence he brought to this character .He embodied Superman on the highest level which no one else could do this video in fact would have never been made if not for him and his tragic and early demise. We all miss you Christopher!

I have been a Superman fan for almost 55 years and this is heart warming... my wife and I due charity work sometimes and of course cons as Superman, (not any particular version), but I use the "S" curl from the great late Christopher Reeve and my wife does Wonder Woman, (Linda Carter season 2 version). This songs captures the essence of what it means to be Superman and so many other heroes. Nicely done... Stay "Super"!

Supermen fly high the best of ever version has to have been George Reeves and Christopher Reeves the best of the latter are here but no one should not be chosen for who the best potential they are just great though it is also that they aren't a match on George or Christopher but do deserves every honor especially with that symbol of hope on the chest and not forgetting those animated series the vocals behind that Men of Steel and Tomorrow and the creators of Superman they gave us the hero of hope after all they shared their vision and it started the story that became the version we see in every fine actor who has played him I wonder if those two relished where this would lead and still is as brilliant

Christopher Reeve will alway be the greatest Superman/Clark Kent with Tom Welling in the next best one. The only thing that stopped Welling was that he never donned the red and blue tights, at least not like several others did.👍🏼

I didn’t think that Tom Welling ever appeared in a clear shot with the suit. I saw they were always obscure so that you couldn’t clearly see Tom in it. There were head shots. And there was one opening his shirt showing the S. And the far away in space. But I didn’t think the shot at about 1:13 here ever appeared on air. Tom hated the suit.

Look at all them people to play Superman and various other comic whatevers and never played a goddamn thing else because they got typecast. I'm not sure about who because we never had a conversations like we won't watch that show because such and such used to play Batman or Superman on that one show that never happened. We didn't do it. I guess someone in Hollywood thought we would though. Poor saps I hope they got paid for what they did 😆

Henry Cavill has done many movies. Brandon Routh has been many on many tv shows/ movies. Dean Cain played Scott Peterson in a tv movie. Only George Reeves and Christopher Reeve were typcast.
