Can you imagine the relief Injustice Batman felt as he heard how much Superman was caring about casualties, even though he had only just come from a parallel universe? It's such a minor but such an important and heartwarming detail, in my humble opinion.
@@shadowbonnie1502 if you notice, the cars are somehow hollow. Why there are a bunch of hollow cars rolling down the streets is a mystery. I would also say that this is just nrs beins nrs
@@shadowbonnie1502 Considering this is, well, Superman we're talking about, I'm fairly certain that that's less a deliberate decision on the devs part as it is a technical error. We all know that OG Superman would absolutely not harm civilians.
"After I've killed you, I'll bring Lois here." So at this point, Injustice Superman would kill Main Superman not for any crime, but simply for disagreeing with him. He also is perfectly okay to kidnap the Lois of the Main Universe, and somehow expect her not to hate him for, you know, KILLING HER HUSBAND. By this point, this Superman was light-years away from reason.
I agree 100% this Superman is to far gone he killed Martian Manhunter and green arrow plus exterminated the whole green lantern core not to mention he killed Shazam a child
It's funny to think how Playing as Superman, we could win every fight in under 10 seconds, but Clark keeps holding back out of fear he could accidentally kill someone.
That and that he probably needs to teach them a lesson only way not by absolutely destroying them on the spot but to SMACK some sense into them if you know what I mean
Nah, there’s some pill that people in the game take that makes their bodies as strong as superman, they had to add it into the story to explain why characters like green arrow can survive a punch from superman
This just goes to show you how rusty Injustice Superman was. Superman fought Black Adam, disarmed Sinestro, fought Aquaman, and had a knock down drag out scrap with Doomsday and still throttled Regime Superman
I wonder why the OP Villian Superman who dominated every other superhero in his timeline and killed Shazam so easily was so weak to his alternate version and got beat up after few minutes of fighting
@@Gumsudhahoon I look at it like this. Everyone in his universe had stopped fighting and using their powers to their full ability. It wasn't so much that superman here was weaker per say but he was like a boxer who hasn't been in the game for 20 years. He knows how to fo things it's just been so long yhat in the moment he isn't able to do it right and the fresher more up to date superman can man handle him
In the comics, it was explained that ever since Superman started the Regime, he didn't have to fight anymore, because all the villains joined him. He chose the easy way out, and therefore let himself lose his edge. He was still strong and intimidating, but definitely not working to stay in his prime. Meanwhile, Earth-1 Superman still fights the good fight, and therefore has to keep in shape.
@@ThatElfNerd Furthermore, even when he did have to fight, it is easier to fight lethally than it is to fight non lethally, so Good!Clark is more skilled than Evil!Clark.
Since it seems no one's mentioned this, I like how even though Harley joined the Insurgency for self preservation reasons, when faced with turning her pudden over to authorities or releasing him and running away from him again she chooses to send him to prison. I feel like this was her first step to earning Batman's trust and becoming a hero.
In the comics when Superman was fighting Regime Superman, the narration stated that although Regime Superman wasn't holding back, his body was to use to how much power he always uses and so Superman who was holding back was surprisingly stated "Evenly Match with Regime Superman" but not wishing to have the battle go for a long time, Superman stated it's been awhile since he didn't hold back in a fight and completely beat Regime Superman... This detail is awesome because it shows just how much are Superman always holds back
Eh, I’ll accept that just cause I love Superman. But I always felt that logic kinda ass backwards. Thats like a boxer always using 20 pound weights cause he’s afraid to cripple his opponent, and he actually beats the opponent who says “fuck it!” And starts pumping 80 pound iron.
I wonder why the OP Villian Superman who dominated every other superhero in his timeline and killed Shazam so easily was so weak to his alternate version and got beat up after few minutes of fighting
I love how Clark flew Doomsday to the Fortress of Solitude, that was a super smart move as he got Doomsday isolated away from the city and had more options to use to defeat him.
More accurately boy if you kindly don't shut up I will backhand you into space and punch you back down I don't need to hold back with you so if you would kindly surrender otherwise you are gonna have a bad time
@@bennyboi3351 he’s another universe superman. Superman is incorruptible. It’s been shown time and time again he will not cross that line. You can kill Lois and all his friends and he will still believe in justice. Kingdom come superman shows what would happen if someone tried to push him
@@gaunterodimmmastermirrors72 Superboy's life wouldn't have needed saving if Regime Superman hadn't almost killed him. If I'm not mistaken, Superboy tried to get Superman to see reason and fought him, which caused him to suffer a broken rib which penetrated his heart. He was starting to bleed out and since he was still his family, Superman decided to send both him and the rest of the rebel Teen Titans into the Phantom Zone, both to save Superboy and to get rid of the Titans.
Q: Where is Black Adam getting all those cars? - Confusion Level 1 A: He's grabbing them from behind him. Q: How can he get so many without moving? - Confusion Level 2 A: He is actually at the end of an ally next to a street, grabbing the cars as they pass by. Q: If those cars are being driven, doesn't that mean they have people inside that the good Superman is killing with heat vision? - Confusion Level 3 A: As the cars are flying, you can see that they are unoccupied. Superman is not killing innocents. Man, can you imagine the ass kicking Regime Superman would get if Kingdom Come Superman came through instead of main universe Supes. Not just due to power differences, but the fact that Kingdom Come Superman had almost the same thing happen and still mostly kept to his path.
@@sumanamaity5064 The entire verse would be saved in record time. Cosmic Armor Superman barely counts as a Superman because he's basically just a fusion of Superman and Ultraman.
Even if the one thing Kingdom Come Clark did was run away by failing to see the inspiration he truly was just because of what was done with Joker. And in his case, he didn't kill Lois with his own hands like Regime Clark did...
Thumbnail: Yep, that's me. You might be wondering how I got into this situation. Well it all started when I killed my wife because I thought she was a giant grey spike monster from my home planet, but... Well we'll get to that.
"Im sure there is some deep insight about human spirit or some crap like that in getting beaten up by the man you used to be but honestly? Thats the last thing that I was thinking about at that moment, it was mostly fury and 'god damn, this hurts like a mother...' "
3:50, I like how Superman talks about saving civilians, but when black Adam is throwing cars at him that literally were driving by, he destroys them despite the fact that there has to be someone driving them
Diana prob trolled Supes as she knows Doomsday was coming straight at him which is why she told him to not say it too early lmao. But she knows that Supes will probably handle him anyways.
After watching a sneak-peek on the Injustice Animated Movie, I wonder if they are gonna include this in it. If not, that's fine. It wouldn't really matter since all I want to see is Alfred beating the crap out of Superman. Edit: Well, that was disappointing...
People say it’s just gonna be the first year regime Superman was in control but I would love to see Superman beat the shit out of regime Superman in animated version
That should only happen if they make at least 3 movies for years 1-5. There’s no way 1 Injustice movie is gonna jump all the way to the end of year 5 and it still follow the story accurately.
I always thought that Alfred scene was dumb. If it was that easy to beat Superman, then why tf does Batman need to bring all these heroes? The Injustice comics were all over the place with their connection to the games.
The moment you realize there are people driving those cars when Black Adam picks them up and throws them at Superman. And then Superman just obliterates them with his heat vision.
This is why Superman is such a great hero. He cannot be corrupted by things that affect normal men. He holds insane power but uses it to defend innocent people. He even fights for people beyond his realm. All of this makes him such a terrifying force for the villains.
Here's something I like about the characters design in this game: The Injustice heroes look like incomplete versions of themselves. Batman's armour isn't as advanced, it's pretty much just nothing but met quickly put together, while the alternate universe characters look more complete, with alternate universe Batman looking more advanced, with his armour looking less like a prototype and more like the final product. And this really fits, with the Injustice versions being the versions of the heroes are shells of their former selves, while the alternate universe versions are the completed versions. But that's just my take on things.
Man I remember playing this game in 2013 and being filled with joy and hope in this chapter the first time. Cliche I know but I've always liked Superman and to see the bad that Regime Superman did made me appreciate and love good Superman much more. Made me feel like I was beginning to wake up from a nightmare.
I loved this part of the game. After watching everyone stick to the shadows and act as an underground resistance movement against a tyrannical Superman, it felt great to see the TRUE Superman come in and stand tall for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. He came down and established himself immediately as a moral figure, a figure of hope, and saved innocent lives the entire time. To see Superman acting as an evil tyrant for the whole game and then this final segment where we get to see vintage Superman remind us why he's the paragon of superheroics was like watching a whole bunch of dark, gritty, depressing deconstructions and then going back to the hopeful classics. And all with the voice from Superman: The Animated Series.
Superman TAS is a legitimately underrated show. I think it gets overshadowed by Batman TAS and the Justice League cartoons but it's really good and a nice change of pace from Batman TAS. I also REALLY like the Superman TAS version of Lex. Clancy Brown just kills it with the voice of Lex.
@@CommissarChaotic I like to think that, in the Injustice universe, Elon Musk perfected self-driving cars and they were all driving down that one street at that exact moment.
These exact scenes are the best examples of why I like OG Superman over Regime Superman. Regime Superman is a absolute mess in the mind I never liked him but overall the story is not bad and I think it’s the best stories I’ve seen.
16:04 is no one going to talk about how the audio just changed and now Superman (the one who’s still standing) talked like a demon Edit: all of them sounds like demons
From what gather its an animation issue. They needed to just have the cars move to him so they could repeat the throwing animation but I guess in actual story they are cars sitting off to the side empty. But you are 100% right in how it looks.
@@kalvin187douglas no what's DARK...is if Clark showed even a shred of remorse and desire to "go back" to who he was for her sake--- ...Diana would have ensured that the "new" Lois met the same fate--- She's a MONSTER who would gladly kill humans for her own selfish *LUST* And lust it is...Evil Diana is clearly *THIRSTY...AF*
@@whiterosebloodmoon4522 how for saying there were actual people in the cars that superman killed which superman wouldn't do since he fights for justice that's annoying ok.
If you look closely they're empty lmao. I heard they are making an Injustice Movie. Hopefully if they make a scene like that one it'll be Black Adam throwing a few empty parked cars as nod without the absurdity or darker implications
As much as I like the Voice I never really felt that the voice acting from George for Regime Superman was good in this game/cutscene. Not being able to voice anger might be a positive for Superman tho haha
Batman: "So trust us, trust yourself..." Those are literally the two people Bruce trusts the least: those with power (the Justice League) and Himself. Especially himself.
Those are literally the people he trusts most. Besides Alfred Clark is most definitely the person he trusts most. He tells him more about him than anyone else and they’ve been working together for the longest
@@dariusraymond7522 Yeah, of course. They are all his friends and comrades of sorts...... but xan carter does have a point. Batman literally has a contingency plan in check for every last member of the JL in case they go bad 💀
@@larrythelobster1595 Plus if you look at the comic from the "Dark Metal" universes, one of Bruce's biggest continuing fears is the idea that his friendship with Clark will cause him not to act in time to stop him. He simultaneously loves Clark like a brother and is afraid to trust him because of what he's capable of.
"Children? We're not gods. We don't decide who lives and who dies." This line. This one line is, to me, why I love the portrayal of Superman in recent media. He's not some boy scout in spandex; he's a god trying his best to live amongst mortals. His famous "World of Cardboard" speech is proof of that. This is not a human with super powers, this is something that we, as humans, can't even begin to comprehend in terms of power because there are no limits to his power at all. Superman is power itself, but rather than using his power to dominate and shape the world to his whims, he wields it to protect the innocent. Superman, in response to Regime Superman's insistence of "punishing disobedient children" is flat-out denying his own godhood, even though when it comes to DC superheroes, he effectively is one already. Even if he has absolute power over life and death, it's not his to wield. He is an alien to this world, and it's not his place to judge individuals.
Why is it, that in any animated movies, tv shows, or games, the "Armies of Atlantis" only amount to a few dozen troops?? Only in the comics or the Aquaman live-action movie have they ever been more than 20-100 guys marching in formation...
I just wanna know why they haven't upgraded from melee weapons to guns. Like, I get the Amazonians and Atlanteans are both Superpowered and I respect the aesthetic but at the same time I have to stare at them and say "really guys? Spears and Swords? You're both familiar with the modern age by this point why are your leaders keeping you in the 1500's on military tech? Especially Atlantis given all their other tech booms"
i Love how injustice presents this heavily flawed, problematic superman thats fallen from grace, an image and story i feel like most people try to take the character….only for the REAL superman to show up and beat the SH*T OUTTA HIM
As an aside, I like how Gotham has nekomimi stripper clubs. xD Really helps drive in just how much of a corrupt hive it's become, and also how different it is to the "normal" universe, where the only anime is whatever Kyle Rayner watches. xD
@@Delta-ass Developer oversight. They probably couldn't think of a cooler way for Black Adam's scene so they just deleted people driving them, so that it doesn't make sense but also so Superman wouldn't be killing innocent people.
Still love how they're talking about collateral damage and casualties and then the first thing you do as Superman is blow up cars Black Adam throws as they're driving past! 😆
Superman does something no super hero usually does Moving the fight AWAY from cities Like for real, WHY don't other heroes do this? Goodness. Gotham and Metropolis insurance companies must be rich
Actually, there's no people in cars. Some guy discussed it. His nickname is Zaden Excalibur. He's up there if you turn the comment filter on "top comments"
I have a feeling Evil Superman is not used to fighting a being at his level. Cause there is no way he’s in top condition and lost to a guy who soloed most of his team and a guy who can kill Superman.
I like how superman is lasering cars being thrown at him, cars that moment previously where shown driving down the road, indicating that they most likely still have innocent people in them.
Superman's thinking: Well, all universes are different so if i see/hear no person inside the cars being yeet'd at me by Dwayne guess is alright to obliterate them. "Yeah that should work" -Superman looking all the destroyed cars around Black Adam
3:00 wait. Adam is grabbing those cars as they're driving off the road. so they have people driving them. Superman (the good one) is blasting innocents people! I never thought of it when playing the game myself, but that's messed up!
It would have been damn epic if when Injustice Superman said "Fear is the only thing people understand", The real Superman responded with "Then you don't understand the meaning of our symbol"
I know we keep saying "There's nothing scarier than someone who doesn't have anything to lose" but is it stronger than someone who has everything to protect? And in this case, EVERYTHING to protect.
