“There are six, not five. There is no us without him.” Superman has been resurrected as Medicom Mafex release the Zack Snyder’s Justice League version! What are your thoughts and is it worth it if you have any previous ones? LIKE, COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!
@@Dragonoid22 LOL right and that seems to a distant dream now. I may pick this one up just because it’ll probably be the last Cavill Superman they make. Great review!!!
Have you tried swapping the head scupt including the neck as well? ZSJL head is loose on the JL17 neck, but have you tried ZSJL head and neck on the JL17 torso and see if it clips on better?
I think it would work better yes. I just don’t normally change the neck to avoid loosening or damaging the cape etc. I could still use ZSJL head’s on the blue suit with blu tack for photos but displayed long term I will keep it on the black suit.
I also have the original Mafex Supes. I will definitely use the head sculpt from the ZSJL version for him. Could it be that the Mafex figures are more similar in size to MCF Darkseid and Steppenwolf than their original JL figures?
The original Mafex isn’t bad but you get more variety in this new one. I’m not sure how well Mafex scales with the McF villains as I can’t be sure the exact height. I need to study the movie stills. But I say with the right pose, it still works!
Pretty much align w/your comments and rating. Definite improvement from OG JL version but nothing special imo. If I had the rest of the crew might get but sold my OG JL Supes (w/custom Manipple head), Batman, WW & Aquaman as only deemed Batman worthy. Kept WW's accessories & harness for the SHF WW84 (which looks much better than the Mafex imo). Thx for the detail review.
@@Dragonoid22 My favorite is the Mafex comic book black suit. Prolly best I've seen in 1:12 scale. This ZS issue is a bit overrated imo as I've seen several reviews where the arms detach @ bicep very easily when articulating (like the Mafex OG Wolverine) & the body looks same as the OG which I didn't like as frustrating to line up torso, chest & legs, mimimal ankle articulation & does not stand up easily as toe articulation gets loose quickly.
Such a shame this is just a reissue/repaint of the original JL figure. So it has all the same QC issues that one had. It's still a nice figure but it's not go current MAFEX quality behind it.
I honestly wouldn't have picked him up if WB hadn't fired him but I'm really happy with him and I didn't have any of the previous releases so he was all new and impressive to me. Made me preorder the Cyborg to go with him. Hoping for a reissue of Batman's base suit too!
Yes, if he stayed on, for sure we would get a new Man of Steel figure. But after the news, it could well be the last. Never say never though, as they still re do characters years later. And he might one day still return. Same goes for Cyborg.
