The .45 long slide with the big laser sight is such an iconic gun. Fun fact: it was custom made for the movie. A laser wasn’t available in that size but bigger was better with Arnold
The facial likeness, damaged head, jacket and weapons are all top quality. If only it included the t-shirt and jacket he took off the punk, this figure would be perfect. Still my fave new Mafex figure of 2022, out of the 17 I got last year. Cannot wait for the T2 figures now!
I think adding the jacket and t shirt would have been too much that it would be almost two figures. Unless they are soft cloths which would have been a cool concept. It’s nice they added the heads and guns to give more variety. To put this as your top fave list is quiet something. Curious to know what is your top 5.

@@Dragonoid22 The gloves Arnold wears on the movie poster are the same he wears with the punks clothes, with the half finger covering, knuckle holes and exposed back hand. The one's he wears at the police station are fully covered gloves. These Mafex version's are a strange combination of both gloves.
I like to display them in different poses from the movies then change around every few months it's cool to do this so much fun and relaxing I find it certainly helps me in life Im quite lonely and don't have many friends to chat with so as long as I have my toys I will be OK in life
Yes, figure hunting, collecting and posing can be very rewarding. To me they are characters from movies/shows that inspire us and sounds crazy, but they give me energy to be a good person in life. I l like to pose them and take pics too. You can too and share to places like instagram to connect with more people with the same interests.
Sorry to hear you’re lonely. You have a cool channel. There are so many people across the UK with your passion for figures, and film and television. I can only suggest to go online and look for places and events. I’ve met and spoken to so many people by going to cons, comic shops, and markets, and it just helps to put yourself out there. I did, even though I would say I’m more of an introvert and could go weeks without speaking to anyone 😀
They just need to make tech noir version with the correct weapons not just give police assault version all of the guns from terminator because that is not correct he wears to different outfits in that movie also mafex needs to make t-1000 versions which would look awesome
I don't buy NECA but I accept that NECA likeness game is top. Mafex really nailed it overall other than the likeness part, which normally they are off, due flat paint. Their accessories are out of the world.
The Mafex likeness still passes with the sunglasses one. The battle damaged face is a bit off. But now I think about it, it actually works because it’s meant to be a robot. It was revealed in the making of they used a dummy for some scenes. So even that didn’t look 100% look like him.
The Mafex likeness is spot on of Arnold. Much better than Neca's when both are seen in person. But yes the variation in paint is lacking, on the whole of the figure and accessories. I was planning on painting different parts on the guns different shades of black and grey. But since he is a cyborg I can excuse the lack of paint on his face, due to him not being alive.
I really appreciate these videos, it helps me decide if I want to buy it obviously, in this case I did buy the figure. Someone needs to do these reviews, sometimes there are multiple for a figure and I think this is the best one for this figure.

the neca is so obviously superior aesthetics wise. honestly the mafex looks pretty crappy. sure it has better articulation and is less fragile but i wouldn't pay more than neca retail price for it.
Is the NECA version you used to compare the Ultimate version? If it was why didn't you use the battle damaged head (final form). You used the head where he pulls out his eye in the movie.
I think Mafex overall is more realistic than Neca. The sunglasses and damaged heads are particularly good. There is some argument the Tech Noir (long hair one) is better from the Neca version.
Hi mate is the butterfly joint at the top of the arms supposed to be a bit loose - ish ? Not the arms but the extra bit that allows it to come out a touch
Yes, the shoulder parts are normally slightly loose to give the arms more manoeuvre but also hold the arm in place. But be careful not to move it too much, as in the past I had a figure where whole arm is very loose due to twisting it too much.
Yeah, it is. It has always been a issue with Mafex's plastic jacket designs. The joints are still a lot tighter than Mafex's other figures which wear plastic jackets; the Knightmare Batman, Tom Hardy Bane and worst of all their even more recent, Thomas Elliott Hush, whose arm's fall off from almost the slightest touch. Still doesn't stop them all from being great figures though.
@@cookedit Yeah it’s such a great little figure and the first Mafex I’ve ever had and every other joint is good so far but the butterfly’s were very loose so thanks for letting me know man
@@CockneyEastwood Great first Mafex figure to start with. My personal fave Mafex fig of 2022 and I brought 17 of them. The Terminator at least has butterfly joints, just realised now the other 3 I mentioned didn't even have that. The new T2 and Robocop figures should be awesome. Need that T-800 endoskeleton to go up for pre-order.
Mafex is better looks better and better accessories it makes neca look weak neca is overatted they don't make there figures look good enough and don't give us enough accurate accessories mafex gives you everything from the movie
You have to get different figures from NECA to get all the accessories. The good thing about Mafex is you are getting all his looks and weapons in one.
@@Dragonoid22 but what about tech noir outfit he only uses some of the those guns with that outfit it's not correct of you use all of the guns with just police assault outfit do you know what I mean
