I never watch supernatural before. I admit I only watch this episode because of Scooby-Doo. Hilarious episode. 2 months later...I binged watch all thirteen seasons of this show, and now I love this show
🎉🎉🎉It was so well written and brought the two series together but also kept them original to what they are, kudos to the writers and animator's!! It was AMAZEBALLS!💜 Loved Velma going in for a kiss on Sam! Go girrlll!!! Even as cartoon characters Jared n Jensen still looked so chiselled and hot!🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉
I absolutely LOVED this episode. I laughed from beginning to end. From the dinosaur at the beginning to "Is that an ascot? Yes. Yes it is." at the end. SUPERNATURAL did it again.
I was a storyboard artist on this episode and I knew it was going to be special the moment I heard the premise. The directors and writers really nailed the best of both worlds and really created something that spoke to the adult and child still in us! By the way....I drew the Scrappy Doo cameo! I'm so happy now it turned out and I love seeing everyone's reactions!
Same, but this explanation works too. The animators started this about a year ago, so they wouldn't have known Gabe was alive. I felt so bad for the kid though.
Tamara Cesar That was so funny! I loved them doing the creeping walk down the hall. I love the chase sequence in and out of the door too with the theme song and the Scrappy cameo.
Love your reactions Adam... this isalso one of my favourite episode ever... I was crying of laughter... it was hilarious... Love love LOVE THIS EPISODE A LOT... Thanks Adam... congrats to SPN
Just letting you all know, if you rewatch the hallway scene where they run through like 8 doors with the original theme song in the background, there's an Easter egg. Scrappy Doo runs through a set of doors
It was awesome that they got Frank Welker to voice scooby and fred (he's the original voice actor of those characters) and Shaggy was voiced by Matthew Lillard (he played Shaggy in the live action movie.
The best part of this was that cas was with shaggy and scooby most of the time and near the ending when castiel was saying stuff to them oh god I loved it alot
What i love about this episode is that... those are the actual voice actors who do all the scooby doo movies and tv show reboots. Frank Welker voices Fred and Scooby. And he’s been doing that since DAY 1. In 1969 he was and he’s still here. I wonder what he thought 😂 also Grey Griffin, Daphne, has been doing it awhile too. Idk i just think it’s funny/cool that they got the actual cast.
The funny thing in this episode *ON GERMAN DUB* : Castiel's German Voice actor, (Florian Halm) is the same Voice Actor from Sheggy. I was so confused, because I watched Supernatural in German and I was like "Wait, what's going on?" For me, it was so Funny, because Castiel (Florian) speaking with a such deep voices, while Sheggy (Florian again) sounds like a Bitch 🤣🤣🤣 Scared Bitch. Imagine Misha, speaks like Sheggy.
Fun fact (even tho I'm too late and no one will read this but i don't care): In the german version of Supernatural and Scooby-Doo Cas and Shaggy have the same voice actor so he had to do both characters. That was the best part about this episode 😂
It was an awesome episode. Definitely top 5. And it's about time they brought up "The Trickster" AKA Gabriel again, loved the whole "He's dead" "Or is he...?" But wait...why would they call him "The Trickster" and NOT his real name? Personally, I think they need to have a REAL Trickster on the show...played by NPH or John Barrowman. Who's with me?
I would love to see the Winchester Brothers do more crossovers either live action or animated like this. I never watched Supernatural but I had a great time with this. Could you image if Dean and Sam teamed up with Batman or even team arrow?
I totally think there was a destiel moment how in the beginning dean says that cas was “kinda” like scooby and then later said “I’d take a bullet for that dog” In my head I think he was also maybe possibly referring to cas?....
In my opinion it is not. Not everything has to be about Destiel, even though i do ship it. It doesn’t mean that whatever Dean says has to be about cas or about homosexuality.
I don't consider that to be a destiel moment at all since we already know for a fact that Dean would take a bullet for any of his family including Sam and Castiel. He was literally just saying he would take a bullet for his cartoon hero and had no reason to refer to Cas in anyway. Not trying to offend or anything, just like the other comment said, not everything is about destiel.
I heard it when cas said "he what" after Daphne said Dean had the phantom by the thigh lol and when cas asked" what did he do with the twins" I'm neutral on the ship don't care either way
I don't know what to say. It was Supernatural on Scooby Doo or Scooby Doo on Supernatural? PERFECT writing The fact that the actor who plays Dean (I always confuse Jensen & Jared 's characters) helped to do the voice of Velma makes it more hilarious 😂😂
Yay great reaction to an amazing fun episode! Loved it, was smiling all the way through - great writing too! Love ya Adam, keep up the great work on your channel! :) x
They all played their parts well. But I have to say the whole entire time unless he was animated I thought everything was Dean was just like actual Dean. It was funny start to finish! It was ironic that he said that Cass was basically a dog and then at the end he had to tell Dean that he wasn't the dog.
1. First video and i love it. New sub for you good sir 2. Moose squirrel and cas ARE amazing but i could never tell you which one i like more so im going to my default answer of Lucifer is the best. (Im sorry but he is so freaking sarcastic and sassy and he is the fucking best!)
This was an awesome episode! (I don't really watch the show, but it was SO FUNNY!) also, I have subscribed to your channel I can relate so much to you!
If you want a dark and good Scooby Doo incarnation, check out Mystery Incorporated. It has its cringy moments in Season 1, but its definitely worth the watch.
Great episode, great reaction! You’re for sure my favorite reactor to watch! Just a question. Maybe you’ve already said it sometime but who’s your favorite: Dean, Sam or Cas. I’m a Dean-girl myself, I mean like come on: Jensen! 😍 And Dean is so funny in these kind of episodes
Honestly I always thought this episode was a waste of time and annoying because I just wanted the real stuff. But now I can look back at it. Its funny.
Remember the sitcom scene in Changing Channels when Dean said "I'm going to need a bigger mouth" to eat that huge sandwich? On this episode, he finally had a bigger mouth. xD
I don't know much about Supernatural, but I do *know* Scooby doo. (reason why I would watch it) The things that peeved me was there wasn't much of a mystery solving for the scooby's gang to enhance their roles in this episode. And seeing real ghost isn't their first rodeo either. They had dealt with real zombies, *killer* werecats, a ghost at the witching hour, ects. Even if its their first time (for this case), they wouldn't panic like it's the end of the world and become completely useless. Such they're oblivious, but NOT that oblivious. Now if they were panicking over the fact that was an actual real dead bodies, I would say otherwise, but obvious they're not. Since apparently, witnessing a *real* ghost for "first" time is a big deal for them. (doubtful). This episode is more for the supernatural fans and less for scooby's. I wish they would balance the two. But overall I would like to see another one being made. 7/10
well duh, but should it matter? Scooby doo on the zombie island is technically their first in seeing a real supernatural. From what I know. And they seem to deal with it pretty okay. Sure it shook them a little but at least they weren't that useless. Here in this case (as I mentioned before), If this is their first time experience then they should have dealt with it instead acting like 5 years old who just learned where babies comes from. Let alone having this panic attack at the end. wtf? I was disappointed that the gang is pretty much useless till the end and there weren't much of a "mystery" for the gang to contribute. They could at least have scooby save the day as he always do when the plan failed. it not like this was out of their league. Sure there is a killer ghost but there is also killer werecats which they survived from. Overall, Outside the "timeline" if that what you are mainly focus on, I just think the gang are more useless than they shouldn't be. Let alone letting their "reality check" clouded their mind. They're better than this and they deserve better.
John Disco Well if you want to ignore the context of the episode and actual facts of Scooby-Doo as a series then there isn't much a point in talking but whatever. They are behaving more realistically although in an exaggerated manner, because the narrative tone of Supernatural is infecting their reality and vis versa. It's near lampshaded multiple times during the episode, ie Dean calling the Scooby-Doo cast pure, and at the end when the boys leave and the gang can go back to their status quo. This is called good writing and is fair towards both shows. Characters do not inherently deserve anything other than good writing and both sides received justice by the end if the episode. Violently learning that your entire world view is wrong has consequences when your show is not for children. I'm sorry that you seem think otherwise because of over attachment to fictional characters.
