@@Pita361 Same here. I've made a Supernatural playlist and as soon I saw that song I thought of this episode. Supernatural works in the music so well - especially in the early seasons.
Hahahahah dude, thats literally what I was thinking during the entirety of the „Dean and Sam are wanted by the FBI“-part 😂 Love it. makes the show and Sam and Deans shenanigans in the name of hunting much more real.
Lol oh wow yes. And they probably think it makes perfect sense because they were those kids who came into the school at a weird time in the semester/term because they "moved around a lot", didn't really get too involved in the school and then they just randomly left in no time.
“They’re fucked” could pretty well describe ‘Supernatural’ in general. I love this episode so much! The humor, the insight into the more empathetic side of Dean, the music cue at the end, and Ron all contribute to a really fun one. Plus shapeshifters make such great bad guys - they may be my favorite monsters. Ron is probably the side character I feel the saddest about losing, he wasn’t a trained soldier like Sam and Dean are, but he saw something going on and stepped up to try and stop it. That’s a true hero in my book. In the scene when Sam takes down the S.W.A.T. guys, I believe it was only two ( still impressive) not the whole group of them that we’d seen come into the bank.
Jess - "They can't catch a break" with FBI, Yellow Eyes, Dad's death, what Dad said, Ava, Sam maybe turning evil, they're so f***ed. Me - Maybe spoiler....... Oh you sweet summer child
I liked that a show with a lot of stand-alone episodes still doesn't forget that it all involves the same characters and the same world. The writers remembered that you cannot be wanted for murder, especially AFTER everyone thought you were dead, and not be tailed by the police in some way or form after that. It is now subplot B in a season that already has the main plot arc with Yellow-Eyes and subplot A with Ava missing. It is a lot, but it makes for a better show because it feels more grounded in some form of reality.
I mean Ronald was on the right track except for the mandroid part lol. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like if they’d just been honest with him from the beginning Ronald would still be alive. This was one of my favorite episodes though, love it!
You are absolutely right. If Sam had been honest when they first met Ron, then Ron would have never been there locking down the bank with an assault rifle.
You finally made it to one of Supernatural’s most legendary episodes. I was a big fan of his work too. I think we all felt for Ron the same way. He was so on point except for the mandroid thing, but still pretty close. Sam and Dean doing the role reversal. Sam is usually the one to connect with those involved in the case. Dean did step up and connect with Ron. But Poor Ronald, that was sad as as hell. After all the work he put in he didn’t deserve that at all! Sammy stepping up and securing their escape was very necessary. What a way to come through. Dean thought he was through. And of course Agent Henriksen on Sam and Dean’s ass. Shapeshifter was all over the damn place killing people and stashing them. Dean’s fight with the shapeshifter when she was wearing lingerie looked so wrong, if you didn’t really know what was going on. The storm is coming! Buckle up 👶!
Sam was trying to protect Ronald, because Ronald's not a hunter. Sam said "Better to stay in the dark, and stay alive." And Sam was right; because Ronald ended up dead.
When Jess started watching Supernatural, the first thing I looked up was "Supernatural/Doctor Who crossovers" and this episode came up. :) Imagine if Sam and Dean fought a Cyberman. Good timing that this ended up in Doctor Who December! 9:49 - Jess has a real gift for swearing. One of the reasons I find her videos so funny.
I love your reactions, especially your spn ones so much! I love how of the end of every episode you actually think and talk about it. It shows that you actually care about the show, instead of many other reaction youtubers who seem to mainly do it for the views.
One of my favorite episodes of the season. The production value is pretty high for this show. I think Dean did so well with Ronald because he was just a normal dude, and not someone of authority, etc. Dean could just deal with him "normal". He didn't have to pretend to be something he isn't. And poor sam is still dealing with the news he got and pretty stressed out right now. He just wants to save people and not be bad. And then that fbi agent goes and says "there's a monster in that bank" and it shoots right to Sam. They're really pushing this thing about Sam. Likely to worry us.
Ronald is a favorite, memorable character. Such a good, sweet guy. :( The actor did an amazing job...Chris Gauthier And yes, the intensity of the FBI agent is a bit scary for the boys. Dean got worried, and he hardly ever lets that show.
Oddly enough, in this episode Dean is more mature and understanding while Sam is like the annoying/annoyed little brother 😂 but really Sam is so annoyed the whole episode
Great reaction! I love this episode so much! It's always hard when you get attached to a one-off character and they end up dying like Ronald did here. The MOTW episodes definitely are really solid in season 2.
This was definitely one of the best episodes of SPN, especially for season 2. Landmark episode for sure and one of the most iconic uses of a classic rock song on the show. Glad you enjoyed it! Also, if you think this episode was funny, you ain't see nothin' yet! ^_^
There's a ton of good episodes this season. For me this doesn't even make my top 5! It's a good episode, but there are so many amazing episodes this season. The song at the end elevates it and is one of the best scenes and uses of music in Supernatural though. It's not my favourite in terms of story, but there are elements throughout the episode that make it good - FBI agent, song at the end, mandroid and Ronald and the fugitive implications.
@@rockracingfan I don't disagree. As much as I loved season 1, season 2 was an amazing followup and definitely seemed to find it's confidence. While Nightshifter is a personal favorite of mine, I have a lot of favorites from this season. Even episodes I didn't like as much were still very good and there are no duds in this season. Honestly, if season 2 had been the last we ever saw of the show, I'd have still been totally satisfied
I love your reactions sm!! It's really nice knowing I can essentially rewatch the show alongside you. also yes, be prepared for some Emotions toward the end of this season.
2nd half of the season here we go! You're in for a December treat. I'm happy you're doing 2 episodes a week this month. It's a good time for it. Love the Cyberman reference too - I now want to call them Mandroids!
Love you doing 2 a week for December it was the gift I didn't know I needed. ♥️♥️ I think the way they got them out the bank and the song was such amazing writing. I am sooooo jealous of you that you get to see it for the first time. I would love to have my mind erased of supernatural and start over. Love what you do, thank you
Supernatural was so good the first handful of seasons ... really depressing to know how off the rails it went at the end and how badly they wrapped it up.
if ronald lived i would have loved for him to be in another episode. maybe if something supernatural happened in his town again and they went back but no:(
@@Wannabe_Baby Why is complimenting someone on their appearance creepy, or immediately means you want to get with them? They didn't even comment anything that could be seen as sexual, it really is just a compliment.
It’s nice to give a compliment. I thought it might be helpful to make you aware that many will perceive a double “gorgeous” and 4 heart-eye emojis as more than what you may have intended. Just something to think about in the future since intentions can be easily misunderstood.
