Rating - 9.5/10 - WHAT A CORKER! The intensity is real with this one. Seeing Sam's pain & Dean's cruelty was hard to watch but let's face it - amazing TV hahaha. Dean being pumped with 'clean' human blood & growling will stay with me for quite some time. I get now that because the blood was blessed it had a different effect as well as Dean having the Mark! Sam not knowing if it was killing him but going ahead with it as there was no other options - OMG so hard! I cant help but be slightly upset that Demon Dean is no more??? I'm a bad person - I know! Ha! Also, Crowley sitting on his throne and just wiping demons out is a MOOD haha. It was AMAZING that he helped Cas with giving him some grace! Excited to see whats to come!

I think that one of the reasons they got rid of Deanmon is that 10x05 is the 200th episode and they needed the boys to be the boys for it.

@Black Ninja Yeah maybe, but I think they wanted the 200th to be different to the 100th. If you remember the 100th was a very heavily plot driven episode where Dean gave into despair and tried to surrender to the angels and Cas and Sam convinced him to fight back. For the 200th they stated they wanted it to be a love letter to the fans, so lighthearted with lots of inside jokes and memories.

@@reader9976 No the 100th ep was Bloodlines and focused on the new hunter in Chicago as a spinoff the boys were barely in the ep.

@@JohnWinchester3567 The 100th was point of no return,5x18. Bloodlines was only last season. 100 in season 5 200 season 10 episode 3 and 300 season 14 episode 13.

I think a lot of us were disappointed with how short this demon plotline was. Including Jensen. I mean just look at how good of a job he did while directing this entire episode. Quite a feat!

I read somewhere that they cured Demon Dean because episode 5 is the 200th episode of the series and they wanted original Dean for it.

I was disappointed too at first, but I get the 200th episode coming and that’s why they had to get rid of Deanmon so quick. But for me it was okay after what they’ve done with the whole season. Demon Dean for me is one of the most mishandled storylines the show did in my opinion. It could have been so much bigger, had some great potential, but it just ended so abruptly after a few episodes.

I really liked this episode Jensen's performance was incredible and he directed it but I hated that Demon Dean would finish so fast, I mean I don't understand, why did they do that. By the way, when Demon Dean takes the hammer, that wasn't in the script, that was Jensen's decision.

Honestly, they could've just had the 200th episode take place in a a flashback from like season 9 or something... then paralelle that to the present situation. Keeping Deanmon going for a lot longer

I also wanted Deanmon to be around longer and I felt that curing him was too easy. Jensen did such a good with the character and he looked damn good. But I get it I guess. The show doesn't work as well when the boys aren't together so they needed to fix that. Don't worry though, they still have to deal with the Mark and how it affects Dean.

There wasn’t enough Demon Dean. It went by too quickly for me. He didn’t even get to really go up against Dam or Castiel in some sort of fight. I know what happens next and I do enjoy this season but I still wish we had more Demon Dean.

I feel bad for Sam,Dean and Cas in this episode and I'm do glad Croeley got Cas some grace otherwise Cas wouldn't have been able to save Sam.Also I didnt want Cas to die as I love him.Also I loved the ending because of what Cas said to Dean as there discussion was sweet and then another character who I love pops up.

This whole episode is so very intense there is hardly a way to start and point a particular moment BUT I have to say, Dean's screams got me chills just like the first time. Everything he said to Sam got me hard as well because to a point he wasn't wrong and I think that was pure Dean thoughts without the human/feeling filter and is horrible and so sad that a version of Dean that is supposed to 'bad' gets an insight of their lives that even sounds, idk, sane? I mean, he was brutal and cruel, that's for sure, but I don't think that was his intent, as tends to happen with other demons, that wasn't his goal even though it was a nice 'plus'. He was just telling the truth as he saw it. I expected the Demon!Dean arc to last longer, there is so much potential for that and it's a shame it ended so quickly. That ending? You are in for a treat :D o/°

Jensen Ackles directing this episode here great job to! and oh Dakara (Spn fans The Mark (£) is pretty cool! Season 9- Last few Episodes of Season 10 Spn fan's "That Mark need's to Go now!!, So you like seeing demons or angels or humans thanos'd..(Remember this you will love Seasons to come like next mohaha) And Yes Sam will always be my fav of the brothers! So seeing him go though Demon Dean and putting up with it is sucks but than again Sam went through torture for like 180 year's of in hell in a small cage with 2 archangels so yeah guess he is use to it lol Great reaction as always👍

Imo, demon Dean was great, and I wished it could've gone on longer, but I understand why it couldn't. We had to get our Dean back for the 200th episode(episode 5), and it just wouldn't have been right if Dean wasn't Dean and they weren't our boys for that milestone! Great acting and directing by Jensen this episode.

The mark of cain n demons have similarities, they both make dean do evil things. He gets super strength as well, n he had black eyes to go with it. But at least he made good use out of the mark in the end, by killing abbadon, but a shoutout to crowley thou for saying sam n deans poughkeepsie. Basically tryna give them a heads up, but all in all the mark is basically like bein a demon but 10x worse i think in my personal opinion anyway..😌

I think we’re all in agreement that we were robbed of more Demon Dean. I really enjoyed Dean as a demon. I do, however, agree with the writer’s wanting to get Dean back as Dean in order to have the 200th episode. Their reasoning was they wanted Dean cured beforehand. So.....on to see what happens with the Mark of Cain now. ☺️ Enjoy, Dakara!!

great reaction D, and I agree that I would've liked to have gotten to see more of Demon Dean (complete with "thirst inducing powers over the "mark of Jayne" by his excellent hair lol) this season, but I figure that they led us to believe that he was a bit of a "slacker demon", in that he would kill enough to satiate the Mark, but didn't have any ambitions for anything large scale and like Cain wanted to be left alone, so a slacker demon story wouldn't be that interesting.... lol plus they introduced a new character who could be a new player in this whole mess at the end.... lol great stuff D that merits a double CTU for you.... keep em coming!

I agree Jensen did great with deanmon character but they had to fix that part fast cause SPN isn’t the same when the brothers are a part and besides remember there’s still the mark they have to deal with I know a lot of people wish that story line had gone on longer but I love what they did with it especially Jensen

You're not the only one who thinks we were robbed of deanmon, we all do, deanmon is as strong as cain so he's much more powerful than crowley and even more powerful than the knights of hell coz cain was more powerful than them he made them and he killed them. also cas was telling Hannah not to get her hopes up coz he's not interested, he's focusing on the mission ( saving dean) and she was a distraction. I love the talk between dean and cas at the end and that dean thanked him for helping and told him " i am glad you're here, man" 😍. Cas: you look terrible Dean: it wouldn't kill you to lie, you on the other hand, looking good 😍. Dean is hurt by Cas saying he looks terrible is adorable 😂😂. Also love Hannah, and the last scene, the queen is here😍.

Here’s one thing I think I understand about Demon Dean, if you really think about it Dean was actually this season villain. Sure Crowley’s mother was there and there was normal cases but the big bad was Dean. Dean had the mark of Cain, he was struggling throughout the entire season to beat the darkness within him. Sure he became a Demon in the beginning but he also faced his true demons as well. We technically had Demon Dean but not in the way that we wanted him to be. I would’ve personally loved if he had the ability to use Demon powers through this season but I guess because of the 200 episode and the Mark of Cain was enough.
