So here it is...the last ever episode of SUPERNATURAL. What a journey it has been! This show has been an incredible experience. Getting to know you guys, being welcomed into the fandom & sharing my views on each episode whilst hearing your thoughts has been amazing! I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this wild ride. I truly hope you enjoy my reaction to the final episode. I would LOVE an alternative ending to be recorded as a special thank you to the fans...but that's just me haha. I would love nothing more than to hear your thoughts on everything down below. Please be respectful of other people's opinions & views even if they do not meet your own. Be sensitive to those that feel hurt by the ending & try not to make those that enjoyed the ending feel void for doing so. This is a safe space & remember we are all here for the same reason - our LOVE for this INCREDIBLE show
Rating - 9/10 - I got all the feels watching this. No surprises there! DAKRYA is back in full force guys! I hated seeing Dean die...hated it, my heart ached, physically ached! I was very confused as to why they didn't even attempt to contact Jack, sadge! They acted the hell out of that barn scene though guys! Wow! It felt so real after years of watching this show...sniff. I loved that the new heaven was put in place by Cas & Jack just in time for our boys to arrive and experience that. Of course I wish they weren't there at all and thriving on earth but at least they have peace together with their loved ones. Seeing our Bobby again warmed my heart. There is something so special about that character! I loved the montage at the end, it's what I wanted, I'd have loved a full episode of just those haha. Seeing Sam's son named Dean hit me, the blurred wife confused me & let's not talk about the wig guys...hahaha. I would have loved to see ALL of our special characters in this last episode, it's a shame that didn't happen tbh. Not seeing Castiel working with Jack was unbelievably sad too. Not finding out about angels in heaven & demons & Rowena in hell also bummed me out. What truly got me was the funeral...Sam was the only one there? Really? No Jody, Donna, the kids, Jack & Castiel watching over? So sad. I say all this BUT I still can over look those aspects because what I did see, I still enjoyed. Would I want more? ALWAYS I'm greedy haha but I do feel content with the ending & I truly hope you guys enjoy my views on things.

This is one of the rare shows that is actually better the 2nd (and even 3rd) time you watch it, because you pick up everything that was going on in the background that leads them to their destination. Especially the first 5 seasons with all the angels and demons manipulating them.

I loved the finale and think it's one of the best season finales in SPN. I remember finding your channel back around the time you began S4 and have been watching your SPN reactions ever since. I honestly can't wait to see what's next for the content on this series. fun fact: the ending with Dean and Bobby was suppose involve alot of people like Mary, John, Jody, and Castiel but covid production shutdowns happened.

Before Watching this i wanted to thank you, like many others. I first watched your reactions during the mid of Season 5. I binged all previous ones and didnt miss a single one after that. My only complaint was I wished they had waited a year for vaccines to happen so they could give the show the send off they originally planned with many old and new characters returning to face God and be in the Heaven sequence but oh well. Here's to hoping it comes back someday... There's still lots left to explore.

I don't think waiting for the vaccines would've changed much since they don't immunize but just somewhat reduce the effects AFTER getting the virus. So the chance of getting it would've been there regardless. But I agree that seeing more people would've been even more beautiful (especially castiel and their parents). One thing that seems awkward to me though is.. Jessica is in heaven..but Sam had a kid..so unless he adopted him things would get quite awkward later on in heaven o-o

I remember heading downstairs late one night to watch Dark Angel. Only Dark Angel wasn't on and so I started channel surfing. When I came across Supernatural the very first episode.... I never knew how much it would change my life at the time. But I am so glad Dark Angel wasn't on that night. Thank you for doing this journey! I enjoyed every moment. Even the bits that broke me again.

One of the details that many people either forgot or failed to retain was that since Chuck is gone, Sam and Dean no longer had their “plot armor”. Dean being killed by backup vampire #3 makes perfect sense to me because of that.

@@Da1337Man Sam and Dean were soldiers who went into battle almost daily, accidents happen, a slip, a moments inattention, and disaster. That does not make them 'functioning morons' it makes them humans. My only real regret with this ending is that the show didn't really give us an idea of how long had passed since they defeated Chuck. If it was a week ago and this was their first hunt since, they're not that great hunters, if it's six months or a year, accidents happen. As for John, he would have had 'plot armor' too, at least until Sam and Dean were where they needed to be for Chuck's plan for their 'destiny'.

@@mystmagyk3101 We do know. It's 6 months according to the script. And noo none of them had plot armor. That was not the point of the episode. The point was that despite Dean and Sam having those obstacles set up by Chuck they STILL managed to fight the monsters and save the day. Because they had each other, their wit and found family (represented with Garth in that episode) and what everybody else also fail to remember is that that bad luck Chuck gave them WENT AWAY because the Goddess of Fortune gave them their luck back. So nah, Dean dying like that can't be explained away by Chuck 'taking away their plot armor."

It was nice going through this journey with you, Dakara. Regarding the finale - I personally hated it. Don’t get me wrong: I didn’t trash it online or leave bad reviews or harass the actors. But it was possibly the worst ending they could have come up with. Because in the end? Chuck won. He got his ending. I especially hate when people say “that’s how Dean would have wanted to go”. No, no it really isn’t. And it’s not speculation: Dean himself says he’d want to retire (if the world wasn’t in constant danger), that’d he’d want to rest on a beach somewhere with his family (Sam and Cas, and Jack). He was looking for a job, trying to have a life other that daddy’s blunt instrument and Sam’s protector. And he DESERVED it. This ending? It basically erases 15 years of Supernatural. It could have happened at the end of S1 and then it would have made sense (Dean dies young trying to fix John’s many screw ups, Sammy gets a normal life). But after 15 years of character development? Of sufferings and trials? Heck no. And btw, Jensen Ackles agrees: during one of the SPN panels, he said he hated the finale (his words) when he got the script and even called Kripke. JA - the guy who made Dean come to life for 15 years - thought it was horrible. Another thing I hated was that montage of Sam’s perfect life with the anonymous wife. Not even Eileen? Really? And only pictures of the “blood” family. No Cas, Bobby, Charlie, Rowena… No one. For 15 years we were told family isn’t about blood. And in the end? Yep, it was. And don’t even get me started on that throwaway “Cas helped” line. Dean’s entire behavior past ep 18 doesn’t make sense. At all. And the decision not to include Cas in season/series finale is just offensive, especially considering he’s been in every finale since s4. Sorry. Needed to vent.

I agree with everything that you said I mean giving us the heaven scene does not erase that he did not get to live a life. No please don't get me wrong I love Sam but to make it that Dean when heaven to drive around in his car to meet Sam basically saying that's his entire existence is just about Sam is just ridiculous, I love the brotherly love but both brothers deserve love outside of each other. The covid explanation does not make sense. Unless they're saying that the people that they wanted had covid

We never spoke nor have we been introduced, but I've supported your Supernatural adventure from day one, liking every episode. I suppose I've sort of been your Impala. Thanks for the drive, buddy; it was one helluva ride and I want you to know that you kept me fighting through the worst storm of my life until I could see the sun again. During the finale and during the entire series I've watched reaction videos at key points. I gotta say overall yours have been so amazing and you make me cry just by crying. I’m glad you liked the ending. So many people hated it but I was fine with it. Chuck no longer controlled the narrative. Jack was going to hands-off (he could have gotten rid of all the monsters before he left, but how would the story end then?) And Dean went out fighting as he should have. You probably know by know the pre-COVID ending had more characters showing up at the Roadhouse in heaven with Kansas as the house band I found your channel during lockdown and followed you through SPN and Lucifer. So happy to see you doing The Boys and looking forward to Buffy. Keep up the great work!

The ending felt right. I found your channel because of these reactions and have enjoyed the journey with you! To me the ending was perfect. With Chuck gone, it made sense that Dean would die if something as simple as that. I too did wish that there could have been more cameos but with Covid it just wasn’t possible.

Reading some of the comments, i see that even after a year, the finale is just as divisive as it was back then. Personally, i didn't hate it but i was dissapointed by it. Dean dying, Jack and Cass not appearing at all, not acknowledging if Eileen is Sam's wife or not, the dollar store wig on old Sam, are just a few things that were done very poorly. And i know the pandemic made things harder but it feels that they didn't even tried. Anyway, i carried on and don't care as much about the finale but i honestly wish there will be a revival someday, maybe a 10 episode season, to see Sam and Dean again. It would be a shame if this would be their last appearance ever. While the show might have dissapointed some of us, you, Dakara, were great. Loved every reaction and looking forward to your future videos.

If it matters I believe someone from behind the scenes did say that the wife was meant to be Eileen, but of course covid restrictions kept the actress from making an appearance. So, they just left the wife ambiguous. I guess it wouldn't have killed them to photoshop a picture of them as a family in a portrait, or have Sam teaching his kid sign language as a hint.

One of the saddest parts of this episode is thinking about how Dean's dog has no idea what happened to him. He's just gone one day and Miracle has no idea why. It's devastating!

I sat down about 3 weeks ago and decided I wanted to watch some reaction videos to Supernatural so I typed in something and for the life of me I wish I could remember what I typed because it brought me to your channel where I got to experience the journey I went on for 15 years again for the first time all over again through your amazing emotion and growth over the years of videos you put into this show. Watching you grow from saying "I hope I like this show" in the first few episodes to becoming a true heartfelt fan throughout the years was an experience I don't think I'll be able to capture again. Was terrified to watch this reaction but I think I feel a sense of peace after. Thank you for your reactions! Thank you for your channel and just thank you for you 💕🙏 Won’t say too much since there’s a huge number of ppl waiting to call me delusional waiting in the wings. I’ll just say first reaction, I loved it, I was emotional wreck, cried for a week, etc. all the feelings everyone seems to be experiencing. However there was a bad feeling in my gut every time I said “I liked it this made sense”. It wasn’t until I really sat with it, also heard the views of others that I really realised what bothered me so much. First of all this episode SHOULD have been a two part episode. Extending the final battle with chuck. Secondly I noticed how little dialogue and “boy melodrama” there was which seemed super weird, especially given everything they’ve been through the past 15 years, and the usual winchester pattern of talking feelings after defeating a big bad. But mostly I felt sickened in the way they used music, lighting and nostalgia to distract you from these huge plot holes. There will always be a place in hell for whoever decision it was to completely remove castiel from the last 2 episodes save for 2 throw away lines. Had they told me this episode was just so the actors could say goodbye, and they did that by sitting on a beach and literally talking dialogue/feelings for 30-40 mins I would have been much more content with their ending. Tho I will atleast say all negative feelings aside, atleast this episode generated enough strong feelings about it to bring ppl together through social media, there’s an abundance of arts and fics, dedicated to post finale fix it’s that are way more thought out and full of love so if that’s the best thing to come out of the pain and sadness, then long live supernatural’s legacy.

while i understand the outrage of the ending , i really love it. they did a good job with all the covid restrictions. i broke down too. i love the quick thank you. the show lasted 10 MORE years bc of US. glad you love ending. i hated that we didnt see anyone else but bobby. damn you COVID! i truly honestly think if covid wasnt here. i think we would of seen EVERYONE.

I liked the final after reflection....I was initial really upset. Dean is and has always been my guy so I was angry to see him go the way he did after they had finally reached a free will life. Now from a story point of view I think it was the right approach and I understand what they tried to achieve. From an acting point of view the guys killed it but I do think some of the direction and writing could have been stronger - although I am sure COVID caused a few headaches. For me there are four things I would have liked to see: 1) Specify the time that passed from episode 19 at the beginning. I am only happy with the ending because I think Dean had some time to enjoy life after Chuck. 2) I would have preferred if Dean's death was a sacrifice to save the kid eg - he pushed one of the kids out of the way of the vampire and as result ended on the rebar. 3) More people attended Dean's funeral....Donna, Garth, Jody, etc. 4) More people greeted Dean & Sam in heaven, Bobby, Mary, Cas, etc. I am personally happy that the focus of last episode was Sam & Dean as Cas had a strong ending in 18 but I agree it would have been nice if Cas was with some of the other characters to greet the boys. Overall I am happy and although I am sad to see the show end I have so excited to see the guys in new shows or movies.

The original plan was for many people to greet Dean in Heaven at the Roadhouse. They'd even booked Kansas to appear. The reason they had to abandon that was becuase of COVID.

Gosh, I was a real mess watching the finale and for days, weeks afterward I was crippled by pain and anger and tears and shock. I was at peace with it at first. I was like okay, it's poetic. it's meaningful... but then the more I thought about it, the more unsatisfied I became. gosh, I can write an essay about my anger toward the finale. but I'm done recalling them for more than a year. but I mean, they ripped off Cas/Misha from the finale of a show he was in it for 12 years! he was the third lead. he was the reason for many people to go on and keep watching. and then suddenly he wasn't in it! like... c'mon! like it wasn't a show about a bigger family that don't end with blood. it DID end with blood. I didn't get the closure I needed, and that door remains open in my heart, as a painful hole.

The show was ALWAYS supposed to be about Sam and Dean. The other characters were important but secondary. They filmed the final episode during the heart of the pandemic. Choices had to be made.

and now the end is here and thus falls the final curtain... and great reaction as always, D! I can't recall if I found your channel from SPN or TWD, but glad that I did as I've enjoyed the ride. As for me and the finale, while it wasn't the epic sendoff I was hoping, as you had to figure that after a "battle with God", the finale would be lower key.... but I didn't hate it like some and was fine with it. Of course after hearing at least rumors of all the things the showrunners were hoping to do/bring back, but couldn't because of the pandemic and everything else, can't help but feel a twinge of the "What Ifs"..... still it was a decent close and salute to us the fans.... looking forward to your next chapter in the Kripkeverse with "The Boys" and especially your foray into the Buffyverse.... Great stuff as always, D! 2 big CTU's for you today! Thanks for the ride! I'm sure that there will be more to come (gag reels, fan cuts, SPN cons) and I'm here for it! and as always, Keep em coming!

Original ending was supposed to be them walking into The Roadhouse together in Heaven & the band Kansas was supposed to do a live performance of Carry On & everyone they ever met was supposed to be their partying waiting for them & John, Mary & Cas would have been there but stupid Covid ruined it! Fun Fact those were the same outfits they wore in the pilot!

And we have reached the end of this journey. Wow, what a ride it has been. First and foremost, thank you Dakara for your hard work with your channel and how you kept bringing out a lot of content for us. I know it takes a lot of effort so thank you so much. I started watching your Spn reactions during lockdown last year and been with you since. I guess it was season 8 or 9. I would religiously wait for Mondays and Fridays to arrive! It truly was a fun ride! 💕😊 As for the ending, I personally have mixed feelings towards it. I didn't like it before, and I still don't to some extent, but it is what it is. I am going to miss these boys and our angel! This show has become one of my comfort shows and the overall experince will always be there. Looking forward to more reactions related to Spn and other shows. I will start watching The Boys as well, will start watching your reactions to that show once I do. 😊 I am already watching your TWD reactions. 💜 Thank you once again for this experience, Dakara. i’m glad you had peace with the show. its not something i can get behind. this finale broke me and not in the good ways. (tw: mention of suicide) in my opinion, dean suicided. he chose death. and i can’t support that. and for the heaven he deserves to include john just down the street. it felt like so much of his development was thrown out the window. i don’t know if i can ever forgive that ending. but i’m so glad that you reacted and to watch by your side, incredible! thanks dakara!

Choosing not to be saved by Sam scrambling around for Supernatural means for saving him is not the same as committing suicide. Dean was killed by a vampire. At the end, he chose to face that death with courage and dignity. We all know that Heaven was supposed to include many more people, but they had to abandon those plans. That's just life. Stuff happens. And that's what happened to Dean. If tragedy striking meant that a piece of fiction was bad, Romeo and Juliet would be regarded as a terrible play. Just because it didn't have the ending you wanted doesn't mean the episode was bad. There is a difference.

I understand what you are saying. However, the whole thing was that they could finally find peace and live a life that they want to. it can be confusing to audiences if the message of Dean‘s death is that this was the only way that peace was achievable for Dean. I understand the mentality that this was one of the first times that Chuck was not overseeing the boys and therefore Dean was at risk. I just think that the show deserved to end on a better note than the death of a beloved character. He deserved better.

@@zoeraye See, that's the problem. There is no "message". There's just the story. And TBH I think the only "message" SPN ever sent was that "s*** happens, but we do our best, and we do it for/with love". The boys NEVER expected to be rewarded for their actions. Life is not fair. Tragedies of the innocent are everywhere - just look at infant death. Dean died. That sucks, but that is his story. And at least in the SPN universe, we don't have to rely on some religious "oh, he's in heaven" (as I don't believe in RL heaven, so that would have been very unsatisfactory for me). In SPN we know the reality of Heaven, and that was established long ago, not just suddenly introduced at the end. We didn't have to 'believe' in it. It's a fact.

It’s cool they had old dying Sam still wearing Deans watch. And I think we got told so many times that’s Dean’s ending would come hunting, we thought for some reason they’d switch it up at the end, but that wouldn’t really make sense.

Thanks dakara for the great content and supporting my favourite show Supernatural. One thing I loved about the finale is the throwback to the very first episode, season one: Dean: "I can't do this alone" Sam: "Yes you can!" Dean: "Well...I don't want to" Loved the callback and the boys changing roles for the same dialogue. Keep up the great work!

I personally enjoyed the ending. I know things had to change because of COVID but I think it was a proper send off. Dean said that his perfect ending was him dying on the job and Sam having a life and getting old.

A character who always feared that he's gonna die on one of his dad's hunt, believed that he doesn't deserve to grow old or be happy, believed he'll die on a battlefield and not get a chance to live the life he wants, to be with his family, and then suddenly a person he loves' confession makes him think that maybe he does deserve to be happy, and he tries to live his life like that person would have wanted him to, only for him to meet the exact ending he feared he was destined for. Another character who only wanted to ensure that his family is safe, who has always believed that everyone who he loves around him will die or leave him because he's cursed, and that's exactly what happened. His so called son left, his best friend died and he couldn't even say goodbye to him and his brother died in his arms and he could do nothing to save him and he was left all alone. Another character, who has never fully felt welcomed anywhere because he doesn't think he's worthy or deserving of love, thinks that he is expendable, he believes the only think he's fit for is sacrificing everything to save the ones he loves, and even though he is the only being in their universe who has true free will, his story also ends with him once again sacrificing himself to save his son and the man he loves, and is consequently never even mentioned again. That is the way SPN ended the story of its 3 main characters, that is why people hate the ending. 15 years of character development, themes of family don't end in blood and freewill just flushed down the toilet.

I’ve been watching this show with you for the first time season 11 on, so I was going in blind along with you and I was shocked as you are, I avoided spoilers as best I could and it was well worth the wait, thank you so much for being so entertaining and enjoyable on this show that I love Tho I wish the final episode was different cuz it felt weird, it’s poetic for sure but I wish EVERYONE was there, would’ve made it more emotional and hit that final goodbye, but this is fine for what it did, but upon rewatch it may change my mind who knows? But either way, it’s been fun….so CARRY ON MY WAYWARD GIRL
