So here it is...the last ever episode of SUPERNATURAL. What a journey it has been! This show has been an incredible experience. Getting to know you guys, being welcomed into the fandom & sharing my views on each episode whilst hearing your thoughts has been amazing! I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this wild ride. I truly hope you enjoy my reaction to the final episode. I would LOVE an alternative ending to be recorded as a special thank you to the fans...but that's just me haha. I would love nothing more than to hear your thoughts on everything down below. Please be respectful of other people's opinions & views even if they do not meet your own. Be sensitive to those that feel hurt by the ending & try not to make those that enjoyed the ending feel void for doing so. This is a safe space & remember we are all here for the same reason - our LOVE for this INCREDIBLE show
Rating - 9/10 - I got all the feels watching this. No surprises there! DAKRYA is back in full force guys! I hated seeing Dean die...hated it, my heart ached, physically ached! I was very confused as to why they didn't even attempt to contact Jack, sadge! They acted the hell out of that barn scene though guys! Wow! It felt so real after years of watching this show...sniff. I loved that the new heaven was put in place by Cas & Jack just in time for our boys to arrive and experience that. Of course I wish they weren't there at all and thriving on earth but at least they have peace together with their loved ones. Seeing our Bobby again warmed my heart. There is something so special about that character! I loved the montage at the end, it's what I wanted, I'd have loved a full episode of just those haha. Seeing Sam's son named Dean hit me, the blurred wife confused me & let's not talk about the wig guys...hahaha. I would have loved to see ALL of our special characters in this last episode, it's a shame that didn't happen tbh. Not seeing Castiel working with Jack was unbelievably sad too. Not finding out about angels in heaven & demons & Rowena in hell also bummed me out. What truly got me was the funeral...Sam was the only one there? Really? No Jody, Donna, the kids, Jack & Castiel watching over? So sad. I say all this BUT I still can over look those aspects because what I did see, I still enjoyed. Would I want more? ALWAYS I'm greedy haha but I do feel content with the ending & I truly hope you guys enjoy my views on things.

Another fun fact: when Jensen does the stunt where he gets flipped to the floor, he actually got a concussion when his head smacked the concrete floor. The director immediately yelled cut because his head cracking off the floor was that loud.

Robert Singer, one of the people who was there almost since the beginning (he joined after the pilot) :) He also directed this episode and quite a few others :)

@@RB-km4om He joined at the pilot and was for the 1st season the studio money man to make sure Kripke didn't go crazy with the money he was never a show runner.

@@JohnWinchester3567 Huh, thought it was after... I think I heard him say that he got shown the pilot and liked it. But it was a while ago that I heard it, so it could have been the pilot script he was talking about. Yes, he and Kripke were a team. Apparently, Kripke was more of a plot and mythology interested person, while Bob was more interested in the characters.

I remember how jayne reacted when Dean cry after Sam died in s2 How s4 ep 1 to 3 blow her mind S5 was her most anticipated season Crowley growing on her and loving him The moment Dean become a demon Her hate for metatron And how jack reminds her of a old boyfriend lol Supernatural reaction was something I was looking forward every Friday hahaha.

People tend to forget this detail when watching the finale but when Jack took over as God he specifically said he would be hands off and would not interfere..Dean dying the way he did was how he always wanted to go out…killing the evil thing and dying on his feet not being protected by plot armour..Deans death was how he was always suppose to die

"If we don't keep on living, that sacrifice is gonna be for nothing," (Dean who is dead 6 months later) and he says it while being at a Dabb pie festival and then getting pied in the face (where pie has been a symbol for his happiness) and with Singer laughing in the background. They're literally throwing Dean's happiness away (Dabb's version of Supernatural). And Singer (and CW) are in the background laughing. I see you Dabb. Monsters ripping out tongues... silencing people. Baby is filthy because Dean isn't happy. The car is a reflection of his internal self. Like when he smasked Baby seasons ago because he was in despair, so a filthy and dirty Baby is telling us Dean isn't OK. (and ofc he isn't, he lost the love of his life). Dean got nailed to death

dean was still in that mindset in this episode, but the world wasn’t safe - there were still people to save and monsters to hunt, so they carried on the family business

I feel the same way, her thoughtful and considered reflections on each episode, her critique of each performance has been a joy. Some aspects of which I hadn't even considered which meant I re-watched episode to see with more clarity what she meant. She's not wrong.

I feel strange about this episode, like it shouldn't belong. The last episode was a perfect send off, with the Brothers moving on with their lives and the episode ending with a reel of their lives throughout Supernatural.

I think they were trying to go for a Season 15 Finale in Episode 19 and a Series Finale with 20. It kinda works. I would've probably just had one extra long episode and gone all out but I'm still happy with what we ended up with, especially the out of left field death of Dean. After all the epic deaths and resurrections, it felt right he died like any other hunter would.

The barn scene gets me everytime I watch it, Dean didn't have to go in that manner it simply wasn't fair. They beat god and they beat the devil, he saved Sam from all sorts of perils and defeated ghouls and ghosts, he should have had time to enjoy his life - on his terms!

Now that I think about it, after my coment in the previous episode, I belive this was Chuck's ending if he wouldn't be defeated... You know, when he was with Becky, What Becky said about the ending he wrote, is basically this. So I'm gonna satrt head canoning this episode as a Extra to show us what was Chuck's original ending and keep E19 as the last one XD

And here we go.... the end of a Dakara era, a "Dakera" if you like.... lol it'll be interesting to watch your reaction to what transpires and I'm sure many will mention all the things that the showrunners wanted to do (like a number of familiar characters showing up as well as a hoped for performance of a certain classic rock song by the original artist, but perhaps budget and most definitely COVID threw a big wrench into those plans.... now off to part 2, but a final part 1 CTU for you here! nice shirtless Sam thirst, D! lol

ugh love all your reactions. This was their most emotional episode. So sad dean died but i guess i always saw it coming The way they foreshadowed everything in the beginning of the episode with sam making breakfast and dean loading his gun showed how different they wanted to live their lives. Ugh i'm gonna miss this show. but i'm gonna a enjoy rewatching old episodes that i dont remember cause theres so many of em so it'll be like watching them for the first time. Nice reaction once again and goodbye sam & dean💔

There was not one valid reason to have Dean die. Where Dean was impaled was in the spot that Sam was stabbed in season 2 finale. When Sam pulls his hand from Deans back and sees the blood, is what Dean did with Sam in that episode. Dean taking his last breath, and that one tear, destroyed me

which feels weirdly out of character in a way. Idk.. the way we got to know Jack he would've always saved them because they're family and now he's suddenly different. I get the whole interfering too much sends you on a power trip and you start "playing with your food" but this just feels weird..him in a sense abandoning them. Especially because he used to say he'd take all the monsters away and stuff and Kelly said he'd bring peace. But basically everything is how it was with Chuck from before he physically showed himself. So how is this so much better than what Chuck did in the millenia up until the point where he let them see him o-O ?

@@Soulsphere001 I just saw the last episode and I think I get it now. Just in case you haven't seen it SPOILER TAG HERE: I was upset because he seemed somewhat out of character but after seeing how he changed heaven it makes sense now. He probably wasn't worried because he knew Dean would be happy and have the life he actually wants (aka no monster hunting anymore+being with his family) there. And the same might count for everyone else. Everyone that now dies from monsters gets to actually be with their family and basically just continue their literal best life so..he actually did bring peace,just not on earth x'D I hope he and Amara are chilling somewhere enjoying their immortal lifes together too.

I have to say thanks for your reaction. so has a huge Dean fan i hate this so much and everytime I watch this scene it breaks my heart. I just wish that he had a family to see Dean as a dad and I know he's going to heaven but that's afterlife. I'm one of the few that never want Supernatural to end I'm easy to be bored and stopped watching shows but there's just something about this show that I could never stop watch it.

I never understood the meaning of this last episode... the new God Jack was supposed to get rid of this all evil and Deanand Sam were supposed to l8ve a normal life but the writers killed him. Doesn't make sense. .... Anyways have been watching your reaction since starting... and now comes the end to this show.

There's no plot armor anymore. God used to bring them back, but now that he's gone there's no protection anymore. And Jack is probably too busy to notice. The ending was going to be totally different than what we got. Dean would arrive in heaven and walk into the roadhouse. We would have seen a lot of characters from the series inside and the band Kansas playing Carry On My Wayward Son as Dean walks thru. But because of Covid, that was scrapped and we got the ending u just watched.

Ok.. I hate it..something was really wrong about this ending.. Dean didnt deserve to die..a character that sufferred from depression his whole life deserved a happy ending with family and kids.. Or with cas since he loved him.. Sam not getting married to elieen was just a slap to fan's face.. And if you noticed he didnt even have any pic of his family and kids.. Just dean mary and john that means he wasnt happy after dean's death and wished to die to be with him again.. Jack is god but he didnt even save dean 💔 90% of the fans hated this finale because it isnt what we deserved 💔💔 john being a shitty father to dean but to have him in the same heaven is just the writers not caring about their story 💔

I'm sorry, but "deserved" is nothing to do with it. The point is that s*** happens. Millions of people don't get what they 'deserve' -you only have to look at the number of innocents who die in the real world. As far as Sam not having pics, that's just poor set dressing. Makes absolutely no sense that Sam wouldn't hae pics of his wife and son. That was lazy. Jack had said he was going to be hands off, which is why he wouldn't save Dean. However, he did rescue Cas from the empty, and with his help, re-made heaven so that it was a fit place to be. Dean in heaven didn't look like he regretted anything - he looked at peace. It's just a shame we last all the cameos because of COVID, as I think that would have made Heaven feel a more complete place, full of the found family.

@@dajtoad1 i have So many things to say about what we deserve and what we dont ..but what I am gonna say is that.. it isnt real life.. It is a show where a happy ending is possible and we were an eposide a part from it.. I know life isnt fair that is why we watched a fictional shows were we could have an escape from reality.. Dean is my comfort character... I watched him goes throught hell and back So in my mind he deserved all the happiness in the end of his story.. Not died without family and child to remember him.. Cas got his "happy ending" but did he? it felt incomplete because we never knew dean's answer for his confession.. What we got was forgetting it ever happend and never mention it again.. So what was the point? Cas's death went with the wind because the one who died for ended up dead too.. So.. Where is the point? jack didnt save dean because he wanted to be off with humen was what made chuck the monster in the final season.. That means he is just another chuck.. he saved cas from the empty which means he did intefere with the fate So he condiracted himself..So.. The writers didnt Actually knew what they were doing with his character.. Being lazy with sam isnt something you forgive because we lived with these characters for 15 years.. So to treat him with laziness was something unforgivable..and to make matter worse They said when you go to heaven you will stay in the age when you were happy the most So when sam was the same age in heaven when dean died that means he was never happy with his life after dean's death..So.. Bad writing.. Covid was a reason not to have the actors on the show and i can understand that but a phone call with each and every character that matters to us could have been enough.. To make sure they got their happy ending and let the fans know what was it.. So yeah..ghe worst finale i have ever seen..

@@castielwinchester6222 A happy ending was possible with Romeo and Juliet. Guess Shakespeare wasn’t that good of a writer either. If Dean was your comfort character, fine. But if writers wrote a story to give the audience what they wanted, they would have had to write about 16 versions of this episode. Lots of people wanted different things. You didn’t like it. That’s okay. That doesn’t make it bad.

@@loveyn2000 He's gushed more over 15x18 than 15x20. He wasn't in the CW thank you video (and neither was Misha) He hated the ending lol. And nah, he's not gonna come right out and say it. He's a professional. He literally had to be talked into doing the last episode and he was so upset over it he had to talk to Krikpe

@@a.3032 Yeah sure lol…He did initially have problems with the ending because he wanted Dean to have a more dramatic death, but then realized that this was ”the proper way to go“ (his words not mine). And honestly I agree, he wouldn’t publicly say he hated the ending even if he did, but as I said before, he mentioned it as one of his favorite scenes. unprompted. He could’ve literally taken any other scene but he didn’t. Why didn’t he say 15x18 if he liked it so much?
