Exactly! Everyone going on about how hypocritical Dean is but Sam literally does the exact same thing Hes more than willing to sacrifice himself doesnt give a damn about the people he leaves behind or who has to suffer just so he can keep his family
Exactly. Sam's all talk but there hasn't been one time when Dean died or neared death that Sam didn't drive himself mad to save Dean. Except for season 8, but that was just bad writing.
_"No Dean, I wouldn't. Same circumstances, I wouldn't."_ --> Then when Dean truly was in danger, Sam unleashed The Darkness and began another apocalypse to save him. This just proves that Sam only said that because he was mad at him about the whole Gadreel thing but he never actually meant it. This argument was just heartbreaking because they both have a point.. Sam was ready to die for the greater good but Dean couldn't just let him die because he loves him more than anything and would do anything to protect him.
I think its deeper than that. Sam didn't say "*No Dean, I wouldn't. Same circumstances, I wouldn't.*" out of anger, but out of reason. He was taking emotion out of the equation, saying it would be better logically if he didn't. BUT, when the situation actually happens, Sam's emotions take over, and he does ANYTHING to save Dean because Emotions aren't logical at all. Often times, they oppose each other.
I was really angry on Sam I understand why Sam felt angry on Dean but I also understand Dean he did it because he didn't want to live without Sam because he loves him more than anything else just as what Dean said and Dean always does everything for Sam If I was in Dean situation I would done the same thing and when Dean died Sam tried to make a deal with Crowley so I believe that in the end Sam would act like Dean for saving him
As much as I absolutely LOVE sam with all my heart, it really annoys me that he said that dean is willing to make sacrifices as long as he's not the one getting hurt. Dean literally sacrificed EVERYTHING for Sam since they were kids. He sacrificed a normal life for him, he sacrificed his own happiness for him, he carried tons of buderns since he was little for him so that he wouldn't be the one to carry them, he spent 40 years in hell and got traumatized for life because of it, all for him. That doesn't really sound as "not getting hurt" to me.
Dean didn't sacrifice a normal life for him, they were raised to be hunters and Dean could barely see beyond this, he sold his soul out of selfishness, because his father has beaten the 'watch out for Sammy' into him verbally, emotionally and maybe even physically. Sam never asked Dean to sell his soul, he actually criticized him hard for it.
Oh my god. It’s okay to admit Sam said something that was mean and untrue. We love Sam! But the Sam stans are relentless in demonizing Dean and lionizing Sam at every turn. Dean sacrificed his life for Sam many times. He did get hurt HORRIBLY because of it. So what Sam said was wrong. It’s okay! We know why he said it! He felt betrayed and hurt! But my god, only Sam stans could look at Dean and be like “Ugh what a selfish prick, trying to save Sam all the time.”
@@angeloliver7613 exactly thank you. Dean told Bobby that he saves Sam so his life can mean something. And so he can feel like the hero. He literally said that to Bobby on the 1st episode of the 2nd season when he sold his soul to save Sam.

You have no idea how much Dean hurt Sam when he was a demon. His words were so deep I'm surprised Sam survived that. Sam was a sigma and he shrugged it off.

Sam didn't want Dean to go to hell for him. Dean has put him in so much emotional pain because of his deal. It's actually better for him to simply die rather than live with the knowledge his brother is being tortured because of him. But I agree he takes Dean for granted. I mean, Dean is granted. Sam thanked him more than once for being the only one for him. In s14 he says to Dean "you always put me first". The thing is, he's not ungrateful, but he does take Dean for granted because he knows how much Dean loves and needs him.

I feel like that line is so misunderstood. I think Sam meant that no he would never do something like tricking Dean to say yes to an angel and keep it a secret. That's why they said the same circumstances... but that doesn't mean that he wouldn't do everything to save his brother.
There have been times when I honestly can't stand Sam. Going back to the first season, in fact. Thankfully, there are moments when he is likeable and downright loveable.
….. because Dean went to save Sam. He traded his soul so Sam could live. He did it FOR Sam. So what Sam said here, was super wrong. I don’t know why Sam stans can’t ever admit Sam was wrong about anything. I TOTALLY get why he said it! He felt so betrayed, and was angry and probably massively depressed. That doesn’t mean he was factually correct in what he said. Sam, conversely, went to hell in order to stop Lucifer. Sam suffered, or course!!! But if you’re looking for the differences in the circumstances, that would be it.
I will always love Dean more than Sam. Sam always took Dean, Dean's love for him, Dean's maturity and experience level, understanding of things for granted.

Let's also talk about after taking down the vampires in 9x19, Dean told Sam: "Yeah, I know you wouldn't have done the same." Dean doesn't forget especially bc Sam's all he got and he started slipping off his grasp. Dean's love is unconditional and that's the problem with him, he'll die for the ones he love but seems like no one would do the same for him.
THIS!! Like Sam really had the nerve to say “You’re glad to be sacrificing, as long as you’re not the one doing it.” Like are you fucking serious?!? Dean has sacrificed himself time and time and time again. I will jump in front of people to take the hit instead. Even in this season, Dean sacrificed himself by taking on the MOC
And Dean believing Sam didn't care had a lot to do with Dean taking the Mark. He didn't care about the consequences as long as he could take out Abaddon what happened to himself didn't matter.
Hate this season!! It is true that Dean did not want to live without Sam. But Sam was a hypocrite when he said it because he would not want to live without Dean either. He actually didnt mean that but hurt Dean together his anger...like Charlie said. It was a lie. So glad they opened up and resolved that later. Actually it was the pain that causes Dean to embrace the darkness of the mark unknowingly. He did not want to be cured from being a demon as Cas says the pain is too much when he is human. And we all know from when that pain started this season
yeah..agree.. But it think the pain started when Sam did not try to find Dean in purgatory. But Dean forgave Sam on episode Sacrifice. Now this? His pain just pile up.. That is why he took the Mark, I think. because he thought he lost Sam and he got nothing to lose..
@@azamnoorazah Nah. Once he forgives Dean moves on. Purgatory topic never came up this season at all. S9 is when he believes that his fears have come true as Sam said it directly that I wont choose you over the greater good...to Dean thats like I do not love you anymore. Added to that in previous epi Sam said they cant be like brothers together. To some extent, Sam is being logical and saying we need to have a healthy relationship where you cant choose death for millions just to save me because you are afraid to be alone. But he underestimated his own powerful feelings that he would do the same or more damage to the world if anything happenned to his brother. As soon as I heard Sam say this, I knew his arc would be to show how much he did not mean it no matter what happens to everyone else.
I think it’s started since the very beginning. Having the responsibility from around age 8 to look after sammy is a lot for a young kid. His dad would leave him and his brother alone for months, constant moving of motels and schools, no real sense of home and in the hunting game since he was about 6. He watched his mum die and unlike Sam can remember that. His dad died for him and he’s carried that guilt around with him. I still don’t think he’s gotten over the hell ptsd or the purgatory ptsd. Things just keep piling up and it was easier for him to not have to care about things than it was to let it all flood back in.

“You’re willing to do the sacrificing as long as you’re not the one getting hurt” okay sure dean never gets hurt or makes sacrifices, apart from all the times he’s gotten hurt on hunts protecting Sam or the time he got abandoned by their dad for 2 months for stealing food so he wouldn’t go hungry or the time he WENT TO HELL TO SAVE HIS LIFE. it’s literally been ingrained into every fibre of deans being that his life means nothing beyond taking care of Sam, he gave up his whole childhood so Sam could be safe, but sure he NEVER gets hurt. I love Sam but oh my god sometimes in season 8 & 9 I wanna punch him. Edit: also I know this has nothing to do with this scene but let’s also talk about how Sam KNOWS dean has debilitating abandonment issues and anxiety around the people he loves leaving him but when dean was upset Sam let him rot in purgatory for a year without even trying to save him Sam basically told him to get over it or he’d leave again 🙃🙃🙃
I will tell you what Sam's biggest problem has been. He was always too self centred and selfish. Him running away on Dean's watch proves my point. Okay, I get it, you wanted out of this hunter life, but that doesn't mean you cut contacts with the one person who basically lives and breathes for you. In the pilot ep, Sam asks why Dean didn't call him instead of showing up and Dean replies "If I'd'a called, would you have picked up?". Indicating that Sam didn't even answer his calls. But Dean on the other hand, always, I mean always, put family first. He put Sam before himself and his happiness. Dean had a chance at a normal and happy life when he was at Sonny's. For the first time he had a stable relationship with a girl, he went to school, played sports and was about to attend the dance. He could have stayed when John came for him, but one look at his brother and he knew he had to go so that he could look after Sam.
I'm pretty sure Sam wasn't talking about physical hurt when he said that, he meant emotional hurt. See, Dean is absolutely terrified of being alone, he's terrified of losing Sammy, and being honest, it's one of his biggest issues. I know it looks cute sometimes about how Dean would anything for his baby brother, but if it really look at it deep down, God, it's so unhealthy and so toxic. See, the thing is, Dean would let the whole world get destroyed if it meant he could keep Sam alive. *He would let thousands and millions of people DIE if it meant he could have Sam.* And as much I love Dean, dear god I do, I think we all know deep down that's so selfish and so, so unhealthy for him.
@@heather2701 physical pain or not physical, someone who's ready to go to hell for someone else ALONE, isn't someone who's afraid to be alone or the blah you're giving so go away!
@@altinaykor364 I agree with you 100% Dean has shown time and time again what he is willing to do so the ones he loves will live. Yes it may be drastic but how the hell is that selfish. He sacrificed his life for Sam even though he knew Sam would be alone. The thing that so many people forget about Dean is that he doesn’t care about himself. He never has. He’s never put him self for once
Despite the passage of time, Dean has never been able to forget what Sam said to him, Sam had to explain to Charlie what happened. There are a lot of things I could blame Sam for what he did to Dean. Every time Dean has to save/protect him from something, or someone Sam abandons his older brother, even when Dean always has to make the toughest choices that his little brother isn't capable of making. Dean always tried to reform his broken family but sometimes Sam, John and even Mary, they didn't even do that for Dean. This breaks my heart 😢. The actions and words that Sam can be much more hurtful than a knife blade or other weapon, Sam does not realize that Dean will have suffered all his life. Dean will never have the chance to live his own life, always worrying about Sam and everyone else but not himself. Castiel despite his mistakes (we all make them), Dean changed him and it's reciprocal, Cas was able to give Dean something that changed him too. The meeting between Dean and Castiel was and will remain the most beautiful meeting between a human and an angel. ❤
That’s why I was bawling when he had to kill Bennie, the only friend he had. And Sam had the audacity to be offended when Dean said Bennie had never disappointed him. imho
@@azamnoorazahFor almost a year (four months in hell for Dean and the rest of the time without telling his big brother) Sam had an unhealthy relationship with a demon, Ruby, Dean tried to get him to open his eyes and Sam almost killed him. Dean was lucky to have friends who helped him feel better but because of Sam he had to let go of them and I think that's not fair to Dean.
Okay, here’s my take on this whole thing. One, Sam had his reasons for being mad, rightly so. Dean did lie to him about Gadriel, an angel taking over his body without his consent for weeks, like that I understand. But then Metatron said that the trials that Sam was doing in order to shut the gates of Hell, they were never trials, it was just a spell. So Sam would have died for no reason. And when he was in a coma at the beginning of Season 9, he was literally bargaining with death to stay dead when the trials didn’t work. So, when he said to Dean that when the situation was reversed, he wouldn’t save him. I was mad that he said that, and he was being a hypocrite because, how many times has he done things to save and protect the people that he loves, including Dean? When Dean went to hell at the end of Season 3, at the beginning of Season 4, he was willing to make a deal or do anything he could to get his brother out of Hell. But then I was thinking that Sam would do anything to save his brother, but maybe not in the same circumstances where it involves somebody dying. Because, while Gadriel was possessing Sam’s body, he killed Kevin. Even though it wasn’t really Sam that killed Kevin, he was still upset about it. Somebody killing someone that Sam cares about. I love Sam, I really do. But when he said that, it did make me hate him for a little bit. And the way that he treated his Dean like he was nothing more than just a business partner and not like a brother, and him saying all of those awful things to him. There was a part where I wanted to to say, “Okay Sam, we get it, you’re still mad at Dean, you can be mad all you want, but you don’t have to be a bitch towards him.” I had a feeling like Sam was giving Dean the cold shoulder like he did when he and his father had fights. He was so mad at his dad for so long, that he didn’t want anything to do with him, and then when his father dies, he was devastated. And I remember when John came back for an episode in Season 14, Sam did tell his dad that he didn’t do all of the good things while being their father, but then even after all of their fights, he still thinks about him and how he never got to say goodbye, and even in Season 2 after his father passed away, he said l if he could take back all of the things he said to his father, he would have. And at the end of the day, he apologized to him. Because, he did his best as a father. And he loved him and Dean, and that was enough. So, I think that part of Sam anger and frustration of Dean was that, he’s been hurt and so many times by many people, I just think he would have never though that his brother, the person that he looks up too the most, the big brother that he loves, would do something like that to him. So that, part I get. But for Sam to call him selfish and saying that Dean only saved him because Dean didn’t want to be alone and for his own self worth, that was also a low blow. Because, in some sense that may be true, but Dean also did it because he loves Sam more than anything else in the world. And you’re talking about the brother who made a deal to go to Hell so that Sam could live, the brother that didn’t leave your side when you got possessed by Lucifer and he was beating Dean to a bloody pulp. And he have him the cold shoulder and he called him selfish. But then, when your brother dies and you see it with your own two eyes and you are devastated and upset about it, what are you going to do about it? That’s when Sam realized that you can be mad at your family, but you can’t stay mad at them forever because, you never know what might happen the next day. After all those things Sam said to his brother, out of being hurt and mad at him, in that moment, you were willing to do anything to save him, nothing else mattered. And then when he does die, you are summoning Crowley to make a deal to bring back your brother. And then when Dean had the Mark of Cain, he was willing to bring in the Darkeness into the world if it meant destroying the world. And sometimes, words do speak louder than actions. So when you said you didn’t mean all the things that you said to him, how was Dean supposed to know that? I mean, Sam did sound pretty convincing when he said that he wouldn’t save Dean if the situation were reversed. I mean yeah, everybody gets mad at anybody for something that they did and say things that they don’t mean, but still. And the fact that Dean never forgot that Sam said those things to him, that speaks volumes. And with Dean, he has been programmed to look out and take care of his brother from the get go. That’s something that he’s not going to ignore. He’s bascially become Sam’s second father, when his own father wasn’t always around. So, of course Dean is going to do whatever it takes to save his brother and the people that he loves. As much as I LOVE Dean with all of my heart, he shouldn’t have lied to Sam about having an angel possessing his body for weeks. And I do feel like Dean is so passionate about wanting to save Sam all the time, that he forgets that Sam is not a kid anymore, he is a grown man who can make his own choices. His love for Sam blinds him and he forgets that sometimes. And if Sam really wanted to die, he should have at least respected his brother’s wishes. Yes, it would have hurt him, but at least he would know that Sam wasn’t going to be hurting anymore. And sometimes when it does come to saying Sam or anybody that he loves, he jumps full head into things without thinking of the consequences. It’s always, shoot first, ask questions later. And when that does happen, there are always repercussions that happen. And they’re a part of Dean that doesn’t want to be alone in this world, but Dean wouldn’t have done what he’s done for Sam over the years if it meant that he didn’t want to be alone. Everything that Dean has done has been FOR Sam, because, he loves him so much. And I know some people are going to say that Dean is selfish for wanting to save his brother if it meant killing and destroying everything else when Sam did the exact same thing to save his brother a season later? And yes Dean can’t live without Sam, but Sam can’t live without Dean. So in this situation, they are both wrong and they are both right. They both have their reasons for both directions, but Season 9 was a REALLY tough season to watch because, I really don’t like it when the brothers fight, argue and give each other the cold shoulder. They are both flawed people, and they will fight and disagree, but that’s what brother’s do.
“Dear Dean, I’m sorry our little brother can be hypocritical and ungrateful sometimes, but he does love you. Let’s remember he simply doesn’t have the capacity to love as much as you. But the cost will be worth it, in the way Sam grows up. While Dad and I are away Sam NEEDS you to keep loving him so strongly. I’m trying to get out of this other dimension as soon as I can… to get back to you boys. When I do, we’re gonna save Adam so we’ll all be together. But for now, keep trusting your instincts. Love, Matt” (Letter/AU fic-fix of an older bro who loved and took care of Dean nearly as well as Dean cared for Sam… you’re welcome. 😉)
So you tell your brother who's always sacrificed everything for you that you're not willing to do the same for him and have actually proven that on multiple occasions. But you get angry and jealous when Dean actually finds people who are willing to go all the way for him. Like Benny, whom you hated pretty much out of spite.
YES thank you for bringing up Benny! Dean isn't the lonely he can make friends, hell practically every supporting reoccurring character on this show is more Dean's friend than Sam (or at least they have more one on one scenes with each other than with Sam)
I am not kidding when I say i couldnt even look at sam the same way until the end of season 10 i was so pissed at him for this, regardless if he meant it or not knowing how much dean loves him, he knew telling dean that would have destroyed him. He was being selfish and very ungrateful in this scene, and most of the season
I mean as much as I love Dean, didn't he do the same thing to Sammy tho? Like here, Sam said something even though he knew it would destroy Dean, and back in season 4, Dean did the same thing when he called Sam a monster. Something he knew would destroy Sam.
@@heather2701 you try all you want to say Dean was the bad guy in S4! no! in that season Dean tried all he could to stop Sam from going to his destiny even gave him a lot of chances to be honest, Sam refused over and over and Dean forgive him him less than 5 episodes! what Sam did in return?
People seem to forget how often Sam's body has been violated. From Lucifer, Becky, Azazel, Gadreel, Meg, Toni to name a few Sam has had his body used against him so many times. Than Dean made it happen again and lied to him for ages and it got Kevin killed. Dean was furious at Sam when he thought Sam made a deal to get him out of Hell, against his wishes, this is no different. Sam is not wrong about Dean's intentions, Sam is all he has, he brought him back into hunting because he was lonely. Dean is tough in a lot of ways but he runs from his problems, he broods and drinks and just wants to pretend everything is OK because he can't face the truth. Sam didn't do a good job of it but he is trying to get Dean to face his problems instead of running away. Sam is also wrong, he would do the Same thing, he tried to deal Dean out of Hell, he released the Darkness, and he knows Dean loves him but they can't keep living in denial and not talking about anything. Time for some chick flick moments.
Let's be serious here they would both do everything in their power to save the other no matter what the cost was. Sam was a liar at this point he didn't mean it.
He wasn't really a liar, he was more enraged at this point. I mean, have you ever seen siblings fight? I have said crap to my brother that I wish to dear god I could take back, I wish I could just erase all his memories so that he could never remember what I made him experience. And in this, Sam wasn't even being that bad, he was being practical. He had set ALL of his feelings aside, all of his love and memories for and with Dean, said what was practical and seemed intellectually right. Basically how he were when he was soulless. And Sam without his filter can be mean, he can heartless. And he was. But when Sam saves Dean later in the season, he had let his emotions take over again, he had screamed SCREW YOU to 'practicality' and 'logic' and he had saved his big brother, someone who means the world to him. And that's why we love the boys. They would do anything for each other.
I wanted to scream SHUT UP SAM JUST SHUT UP so many times during this scene. SAM’s selfishness and self centredness really showed itself here and I hate it
Well, Sam has been a terrible brother, but he still was willing to save Dean too. He jumped into Lucifer's cage, was willing to die to finish the trials to lock hell's gates, almost got killed to purify Demon Dean and was willing to die when Dean was about to kill him to save him from the Mark of Cain. Not to mention calling their enemy turned friend Rowena to cure Dean-twice. Y'all are talking like Dean alone does the sacrificing... 🙄 Besides, all we saw Dean do was bring Sam back to life by selling his soul once. And even then at that time Sam was willing to sell his soul to bring Dean back, but the Crossroad Demon refused. That's how Castiel first comes into the picture... And before you go blaming Sam for The Apocalypse, let me tell you that Dean broke the first seal that started it. Sam just unknowingly broke the last one just to get his revenge on the Demon Lilith. And leys not forget about Amy. Sure, she was a monster and she will kill again, but Dean had no regard for Sam's feelings for killing his friend and he made Sam apologize for his anger. And Benny? Don't get me wrong, I love Benny, but he was a monster too. Sure, Benny saved Dean, but Amy saved Sam. Dean was a hypocrite. Which was why Sam was so salty to Benny. But even Sam wouldn't do what Dean did. Get your facts straight before saying things out loud. Sam loved Dean very much.

Honestly, I think what Sam meant by saying 'no, Dean. I wouldn't' was that he would not bring his brother back to life to go through all the suffers again. In a way, that's how Sam sees things and at the same time how he cares. It's just the 2 different way of perspective between the 2 brothers.

I think Sam had a point: Dean cannot live without Sam while Sam has shown the ability to move on without Dean. However, the way he went about telling Dean all this was very harsh basically telling Dean he would let him die.
At that point sam just learned alot of hard lessons and that's the only reason he said that because sacrificing themselves just caused more problems. Dean just never gave up the idea that killing himself for sam would solve everything.

He's not 50/50. There's never been a time in the series (other than when he had no soul) that Sam didn't try what he could to help Dean. When Dean was electrocuted and handed a death sentence Sam sought help from any means necessary. When he found out about Dean's deal he'd secretly go out to summon crossroads demons to find who held Dean's contractso he could save Dean. He'd tried to take down Lillith to save Dean. After Dean died, Sam and Bobby tried to find a way to bring him back (remember they buried him, when most of the time they burn the bodies so that ghosts cannot come back.) Sam killed Famine to save Dean. He killed Alastair to save Dean (and Castiel). He sacrificed his life jumping into the cage to save the world and let Dean lead a normal life. He took I the trials so Dean wouldn't have to. And let's not forget that Sam (courtesy of Gabriel/the trickster) was forced to watch Dean die over and over and over again because Gabriel wanted Sam to understand what it would be like after Dean died. And each time Sam tried to save Dean from dying. I'm sure you're referring to the Dean in purgatory and Sam not looking for him as your basis, but honestly you can't blame Sam. Dean disappeared and Sam didn't gave the first clue where he was and had nobody he could go to for help, and for all he knew Dean had died.
People always say that Dean did this and this for Sam and sam wasn’t grateful, but remember Sam didn’t want this. Sam never asked Dean to to die for him or to bring him back from the dead. Sam wanted a normal life but gave that up time and time again because he knew that his brother needed him. Dean always treated Sam like a child and never truly trusted him completely after the demon blood and lucifer situation. Dean has been through alot and Sam has been through an equal or maybe even more than Dean and it sucks that people can’t love both brothers equally or atleast understand that Sam deserves a break too.
So.... I think they became fair enough when dean told sam in season 10 "i think it should be you up there not her" After each time they hurt each other, they just save each othe 😅🍓♥

How many times will they hurt each other? Though it's not fair when Dean hurts Sam and wants him to "quit being a bitch," but as soon as Sam does it back Dean gets all hurt about it. It's not like Sam called Dean out on calling him a monster which Sam hates being called. Though everything that happened last season there was bound to be tension. Dude, Sam WAS ready to die and guess who brought Sam back again his will? Fucking Dean. Dean shows behavior of an abuser. Dean manipulated Sam into needing him, that Sam is wrong for wanting to let go of Dean. Dean ruined Sam’s life. Killed some of Sams only friend (Amy). Yes, he did feel guilty about it, but is it right? Fucking no. Dean guilts Sam on everything, for wanting a normal life, for wanting to live with Amelia, for wanting to finally die. But he didn’t because he was guilted into believing he is wrong for leaving Dean. Tell me that isnt abuse? Plus, Dean is allowed to have friends, yet Sam dont? (most of the characters are more fond of Dean than Sam). Oh, I wonder where Sams friend is? Oh right! Dean guilted Sam into leaving them. Plus, everytime Dean would hit Sam, he just takes it. Thats just fucking cruel. I dont care if people hate me, I stand on Sam in this one. Give him a break and a normal life

I never forgave Sam for this shit either. always despised him - he had his moments of redemption and I guess when you are standing next to Dean Winchester you're always going to come up short
People are hating in sam for ni reason, the first thing he only said because he was mad. Because he unleashes the darkness on the earth to save dean, which to this day is the only villain they haven't and can't hope to kill/defeat for good. If sam can do that for dean, there is no way in hell that he is taking him for granted. Even dean himself has done (not just said ) some things that deeply hurt sam, that's the point they both have. No relationship is perfect, all brothers ,heck all people who are close to each other fight, but these two always save each other no matter what and that's what matters in the end
Sam didn't look for Dean because 1. Dean competely disappeared and Sam didn't know if he was dead or what. 2. He had nobody he could ask for help. Castiel disappeared too. Bobby was dead. He wasn't one good terms with Crowley. I think he was too distraught to think about Kevin and even Kevin wouldn't have known where Dean was. If for arguments sake he had taken Kevin in, Crowley would've told Sam he'd trade him, information on Dean and how to get him if Sam gave him the prophet and the demon tablet. Sam probably would've done it and Dean, when finding this out, would've been angry at Sam like how Sam wasn't happy with him.
Sam never had to earn anything. Since the moment he was born, Dean was there. Protecting him and making sure he had EVERYTHING. I can’t really fault Sam for seeming kinda selfish, he’s never had to really want for anything. Dean gave him a superiority complex and sometimes Sam has to be threatened with the loss of that in order to truly get how lucky he is to have his big brother.
@@maxoutigrou9242 you're annoying yourself!even Sam realized what a fool he was which his stupid fans will never learn!and as for you,get the hell out of my side!
Why everybody decide to forget that Sam said "Same circumstances, I wouldn't"? He's clearly saying that if Dean were ready to die and go to heaven, he would respect his decision. In the other scene, Sam doesn't want Dean to become a Demon again. That means being alive but locked in the bunker. Besides having his soul corrupted. It's completely different.
no! Sam knew what Dean meant in this scene just like how exactly he knew what Dean meant in other scenes like end of S9 or his demonic speech and that's what exactly he fucked himself up to make unworthy! means tried to make his own bullshit words unworthy as it is!( remember you asked for it by your cling and nosiness)
@@altinaykor364 Nah, it's very clear what Sam said: "Same circumstances, I wouldn't". Dean twisted his words because he always takes things personally. I know that Sam could have said it in other way but the idea that he wanted to say is clear, that's why he kept trying to save Dean from the Mark.

@@venus1995 well, good thing that you get what he said was the bullshit he tried all he could to make it unworthy as it is! and what Dean said was a long time after this and under the curse, this was the moment that line broke and Dean didn't kept what he said for a long time to make Sam believe it while other way around we both know Sam did the opposite!
Dean loves Sam unconditionally. Sam has faith in Dean unconditionally. So yeah, Dean would sacrifice anything to save Sam. While Sam would do what he knows Dean wants.
When Sam was going through the trials and was going to die he confessed he was very heartbroken to let down Dean and then suddenly next season he Says he wouldn't do anything to save Dean like WTF ? The writers were really messing with Sam's character.
Dean is being selfish? Like, really Sam? Because he can't be alone? Going to hell for you? That selfish? Because Idk, hell seems pretty lonely to me if you don't count the demons and their torture. He loves you TOO much. Yes. But he's never selfish when it comes to you. Never. (P.S. I love Sam as much as Dean, but that statement by Sam, broke my heart. I still love him though)
Everyone giving sam shit but you guys seriously need to understand that sam is saying facts. Dean can't live without sam. Sam can live on without dean. We've seen it happen 3-4 times. Even though we've seen sam learn to live with the life of being a hunter. He didn't want this life. Sam went to Stanford and once dean went to purgatory sam went back to having his normal life. Shit even when dean died at the end he basically quit hunting again. Sam's side of this argument between sam and dean being able to live on without each other. Life always keeps moving forward and with dean always wanting to die because he can't live without sam just makes sam learn that he needs to adapt a life without dean and he has every damn time
there are things that makes everything you just said bullshit! like how Sam instead of living with the family of his own and consider them as more important, always kept Dean and John and Mary's pictures on his(and everyone entering their house) face for the rest of his life and his actions in S10, already makes his words in here and yours, worthless as shit. so stop trying to rationalize it
What gets me is that Sam never outwardly forgives Dean for the whole tricking-a-possession thing, he just turns around and pulls the same lying-to-save-brother-and-getting-nerd-friend-killed crap next season... brothers, am I right?
There’s so many different ways to look at Sam’s comment. First of all no … he did not mean it. I believe he said it out of negative emotion. But here’s the thing.. Sam’s always been such a brat. Even to the point where my father said “how the hell does Dean deal with that attitude all the time. Sam’s a pain in the ass!” While I understand my fathers point .. because I too find Sam annoying in certain situations… but if you think about it, look at everything this poor man has been through. I consistently give him the benefit of the doubt because he deserves it. He’s really a good guy and as you can see he took his frustrations out on Dean and made a hurtful remark at him. (Very wrong of him yes) And yes I understood Dean literally went to hell for him… but like someone else in the comments said.. Sam’s body has been violated multiple times by Lucifer, demons etc. how can you blame him after yet again being ready to die to save the entire world and hoping his brother getting something good out of it to live his life in peace once he heals? And allowing an angel to yet again violate his body! Dean didn’t care… he just wanted his brother back. So yeah.. I don’t blame Sam for what he said. Maybe in his mind Dean acted a bit selfish. But at the same time Dean knows he did it out of love. And Sam knew deep down in his heart Dean did it out of love. And Sam loves him. So yeah… he would do anything for Dean. He’s proved it in season 10. Dean was hurt because he couldn’t comprehend where Sam was coming from. And that is Sam’s fault because his delivery was extremely poor. It was simply poor communication on both ends. Moral of the story, the brothers are not selfish. They love each other. This is love.
To be fair... Dean has always felt that he is responsible for Sam... so anything bad is his fault even when it's not...I think Sam doesn't have that so when he is willing to do something to save Dean, it's not from responsibility or whatever, it's cuz he thinks Dean doesn't deserve die less than the man he lived as. So yeah, I'm on Sam's side with this for the most part. Especially when Dean said from the beginning Sam would never agree to it or even forgive him. So Dean saves Sam knowing eventually he will have list him anyways, not do death, but his own selfishness. And its been proven because in the beginning same could make it on his own, have am identify outside of the family... Dean never really could. It's Dean's best and worse trait.
Dean has been a bigger hypocrite at times. I think Winchesters are the definition of hypocrite fits more. Actually Dean was being a hypocrite here too for not wanting Sam to take risks saving him, while he let an angel possess Sam to save him.
@@amberxv4777 and when dean just decided to get away from sam and just like he wanted(no longer family) sam didn't allow him!which one is the more hypocrite now?
Y’all know Sam was just pissed, and all he meant is he wouldn’t risk anything like that for Dean cause it could be bad for the both of them. He would rather let Dean stay dead than risk seeing his face but never actually be him. People misunderstand Sam; you can try to change my mind but It’ll never work.
Sam himself knew what he meant and what he made his brother believe which is exactly what he worked his ass off in order to take back, which means unlike your kind, he knew exactly what he did and was horrible and glad he disappointed you
