Shot in 1996 for Mercury Records, this single was best known for the remix by richard 'humpty' vission, and pete lorimer. It was shot in Los Angeles by english Director Ben Unwin, with production consultation by Christopher White. The song is a take on the Warhol Factory days, as seen through the eyes of Edie Sedgwick, although, the video has virtually nothing to do with that. It was one of the first music videos to include a scripted vignette within the piece, where the audio from the video was meant to turn into source audio heard from the dance floor when the models were in the bathroom, but ultimately, the label refused to release the video on the grounds that it was too progressive an idea at the time. Sigh. The video was meant to take place in hong kong or tokyo, so the original cast was all asian- until the label had a heart attack, demanding that some white blonde girls be included in the video...anyway- here it is, 12 years later, in all of its watered down glory. Some of the cast/ band members: Steve Zucarro, guitar, Dino Zoyes, bass, Eric Hoegemeyer, Drums, Ken Roberts, Synths, Dennis White, Vocals, Uncle B, security, Clark Warner, DJ, Chad Warner, Taj Bell, melissa emily- fabulous chick. The hook from the song was used in a new track 11 years later by Dennis as Static Revenger, and was released by DATA/ Ministry of Sound in 2007.
