How much better was this guy. He was actually enthusiastic about his work and welcoming to guests.

When an enthusiastic person gives a tour, the subject matter doesn't have to be interesting, it's still going to be a good tour. When the subject matter is interesting and you get an enthusiastic guide, it's amazing. I am amazed. Thank you so much for this video.

Now that was an example of how it's done, you did a brill job of finding him, and then using your own knowledge to ask the question he no doubt never gets asked, and the general crew members would have difficulty answering.

This tour was great. And your tour guide, what a nice down to earth gentleman. He was happy and proud to explain all the details he helped make possible on motor yatch Bold. Great work.

What an interesting tour by a gentleman who loves what he does and is willing to share his expertise. A very people oriented person makes all the difference compared to the first guy who took you on a marathon run through the ship.

That was a refreshingly, breathtaking tour! That gentleman wasn't simply enthusiastic about his topic, you can tell he is passionate about it! I really enjoyed listening to him talk about the technical aspects and how some things are better than others (especially the windows on the bridge).

I cannot thank you enough for all of your videos, especially this one. I have always wanted to know about the technical aspects of the entertainment and networking of these types of crafts and you just gave me the closest glimpse I'll probably ever see! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

It's great having these explanatory videos which appeal to everyone without them being too complex to understand. This is very important, especially as many viewers may never have set foot on a boat such as this. It's also good to see such genuine enthusiasm when you 'quiz' people about their specific task or role on the vessel. So finally a proper tour :-) good on you. 15000 !!!! I thought i was OTT on my 12 meter boat with 4000 watts :-) Love to see the real tech stuff for a change. Being a nautical engineer before going into banking (don't ask) :-) This AV guy was extremely knowledgable and helpful, great he gave you so much time and good for all of us less fortunate souls that did not make it to MYS this year.

That was an AWESOME video. So much better than that last guy. I hope you can get more like this in the future !!

Excellent content and the aspect of this video I like the most is the excitement of the tech who built it all. As an engineer I know the excitement of having the opportunity to show what you at least designed, and possibly even built. So his enthusiasm is fully understood by me. It's so great to see skilled people doing what they love to do. The 9-screen video wall is spectacular and every detail of what all he built is incredibly impressive. Your presentation of it all is very informative and even comprehensive. I very much like how you just let him go with the explanation of it all and your questions and comments show how much you know and understand about it. I'm impressed. Loved the AV and the Electronics on board,. Incredible done and well thought out. You could have done the 3rd video of just the bridge, their so many different electronics tools the captain has to learn. Wow. The AV tech truly loved what he does and is very good at it... That guy is an AV enthusiast through and through. No one likes talking about AV or HI-FI equipment more than a true enthusiast. People "into" HI-FI and AV would recognise a fellow enthusiast straight away and could happily talk all day about such things. The boat would almost become secondary.He also pointed out the pitfalls of some systems (pop-up tv etc.) which only a true expert would know about or even advise against having on-board. A very 'technical' behind the scenes tour and well done for it. More interesting than a "here's the VIP bedroom" type of tour I think but then, I am a HI-FI and AV enthusiast myself, so I'm biased. Some very clever idea's and well done on the video tour. Thankyou.

Holy Moly the Tech/Av Dude was awesome! What a system! Those commercial big screen systems were right out of football stadiums! Adds a new meaning to movie night on the high seas! Where was the pop corn maker? The interior of the War Ship was first class! Great tour take two! Awesome eSysman!!!!

Outstanding review of AV equipment on a vessel that size! Never made a comment but I had to comment that you did a great job considering you had lots of gawkers everywhere on the ship which must have been difficult to get around. He really knew his stuff and you were very kind to interject comments which were helpful for the unknowing technical person. Keep up the great work.... enjoy your videos immensely!

It was very interesting to me as I own an AV integration company in Florida for homes and I really appreciate you and the installer showing us the back end of the system. We use Raspberry pi's with ham radio, pretty handy little units! Simple enough a lot of ham/amateur radio operators build their own. Awesome to see them used on a vessel like this.

The #2 Tour of the S/Y Bold is/was just terrific and extremely informative. Loved the 9 55” TV’s without borders!! The fellow that took you on the tour was very personable, but, you too, held up your end too! Giving him just enough knowledge of your own, to let him know you knew something about what he was discussing; even if you had no idea...great job!!!

I like that he is using DVB-T to carry all the camera, charts, etc too all the TV's a very neat solution.

Beautiful video, Beautiful Yacht, and my heart cringed when he opened the AVI door and there was a vaccum, bags of stuff and a swiffer being stored in that space that is just so wrong. The dust.

Your guide did a superb job of the A/V install, and using RPis too! That's fantastic. Seems to be HDMI over IP? Typically needs compressed, but you can have the systems that use CAT5/6 but uncompressed, just can't put it through routers. Difference is better quality because you haven't gone through the compression again. Some people still prefer to convert to YUV and use analog routing and duplication because you don't have the problems with HDMI compatibility then. Interesting sticking with DECT, and I did wonder how RF signals fair within a boat given the metal construction. Would be a nightmare with resonances and hot / cold spots for the WiFi signals never mind shadowing from those metal structures (where they weren't just acting like a Faraday cage!). Laptops and other larger devices tend to have antenna diversity to help solve this, but harder when you have just something the size of a phone.

Very awesome. Even as cool as the interior is, it was even cooler and more awesome to here so much about the tech used on board. Especially when the guy giving the tour is the one who built the systems and is actually excited about it and excited to share it. Awesome video as usual thanks for all the hard work getting this for us.

Thanks for doing this video - this was extremely interesting, and very informative. It is also an often overlooked subject. Incidentally, having worked the water somewhat, I can also add, that the real significance of the forward facing bridge glass, is that it totally eliminates glare from the water, which will very regularly outright blind the pilot on vessels with forward, downward sloping glass. The bridge on this vessel is indeed, noticably very well desigend, and I totally agree with you about the subject of having individual controls for everything. The "glass bridge" systems, are in my opinion, not at all what they are made out to be, as in any urgent situation, individual controls are far faster and easier to find, than a single access system, which has to be switched for everything. What a pleasure that tour was. You could tell the guy was genuinely interested in his equipment and was keen to pass on his knowledge. Not so sure about the external look of the boat especially the bridge front. Still I don't suppose the owner will lose much sleep over my opinion 😁😁

Wow this was great. Thanks for this. Super interesting to see this even couple of years later, as things have changed but something things remain the same technology-wise. Also was fascinated to see how the different panels display against the shutter on your camera? Was your camera at this point a rolling shutter? I wonder if superyacht owners would care how their monitors hold up to say being shot with an iPhone, etc for publicity for instance. i would imagine it isn't high on the list of priorities, but when you have a giant screen on the deck who knows... Anyway, was fascinating to see that kind of behind-the-scenes with such systems I always wondered how these setups are done... The guy clearly is knowledgeable, and more so I like his decisions, makes a lot of practical sense, spend money where needed, and like the panels that look like a piece of art when not in use, brilliant, agreed the roll down/slide up stuff is always so flakey... Although the one case where I see it being pretty cool is like the bathroom where it slide down to hide in the side of the tube for instance, and then can slide up when in use. that is actually kind of cool, as that is one place a tv never feels at home... so hiding it is better then trying to disguise it...
