I dumped a boyfriend when his ex approached him at the county fair asking him to buy their kids school shoes. He was spending money on me and my kids but threw a huge fit about HIS kids needs. As he argued with her, I took my sons and walked off. Next day, I picked up his ex and kids. Bought their supplies and shoes. Best friends today and he is still a dead beat.
I love her in general but also just how beautiful and kind she is 🥰🥰🥰 she’s the one making sure so many kids and people are safe and able to succeed in life. A true protector of people who can’t always speak out for their needs
I love the respect and class of this women. Being a single mother is hard enough but without child support, spending 500 dollars for groceries, and not having insurance for the child because your ex sells CD's for 3 dollars must be very hard. She was very respectful though and she didn't speak against him or to him and respected the Judge and listened patiently for her turn. I loved this episode!

When the guy was like "3 dollars tops on a good day" and then, Judge advises on MIN WAGE in Texas and he has the audacity to ask "7.25hr? what am I supposed to do with that?" Then, the one time in two weeks when baby mama drops the child off to spend time with him he's trying to *make his case* by giving a solid example of how he'd take the child to McDonald's and spend 6 dollars but he'd have some change left (since we all know he's @3 dollars for about 20 Cd's a day!) He made me real weak by that point.. :) I was like, I can't with this guy! :) But in all seriousness, let's just say you didn't know it was for entertainment, at some point you know YOU CANT take the whole thing seriously, right? So, good thing there happens to be a wonderful tool in this day and age called *google search engine* ...you were not patient enough to make it to the end of the show to read the disclaimer, you just use your brain and SEARCH the judges name and or the title of the show (or both) and you'd find out that she's an attorney and the show is not only for entertainment purposes, but to also kinda educate you with a good estimate of how the ISH works in real life. She's actually not usually far off with her estimates on the particular cases given the "facts" of whatever case she's having as an example! :)

Sounds familiar. My sister and I both worked as child support enforcement caseworkers, and even knowing what we do, my sister has gotten $700 total and my niece is 13. He owes well over $30,000 and if he does work, it's under the table

I think the narrative that needs to be changed is clearly the law, the law is so shit, most half of couples claiming child support tend to see this as some means of income and a way of getting at their other half as clearly the amount being charged in no million years would the child feed on that amount monthly. I want to see where the law looks more into the child’s daily need and then get both parent to go get them with them sharing the bills equally as opposed to heaping pressure on one person. Pathetic!
The family court system does need reformed. Child support is a problem. Somehow shared parenting time needs to be rewarded or enforced instead of the current system where parents withhold children from other parent out of disgusting greed for child support income.

I left an ex of mine. He didn’t take care of his kids. I think he paid child support (military) but he never saw or visited them blaming it on the moms and saying when they get 18 they’ll understand. Coming from a broken home I tried to explain to him by that age they will not want anything to do with you. The final straw was when one of his sons was having some sort of chest surgery. Like open up his chest. It was an hour and a half from where we lived. He didn’t visit his son in the hospital. Nope. Now he complains he doesn’t have any family. Incorrect. You have two. You just deny them.
Well I have a 1 year old daughter with a bitter mom I fought hard to keep us together as a family and she still decided to break up our home since we’ve been separated I’ve attempted to see my daughter many time’s and she was being very difficult about it.
