I didn't mention green screeners as well who take a viral videos and pretend they are reacting to it. The platforms are at war, the battle ground is to make it easy for idiots to go viral. Where the content creation takes place is where the viewers will ultimately end up. People that copy or steal viral trends are not especially nice people no matter what persona they display when the record butten is on.
i dont run across those videos over and over again because im not sitting there watching it so that the algorithm doesn't think im interested in watching it, i instantly skip it.
The nano coatings garbage does my head in, look at this dirty panel covered in swirls, one wipe and gone… water sheets straight off. People believe it and ask where to buy this amazing stuff!
They are small fry in comparison and often heavily funded videos by companies trying to sell garbage to very poorly informed people. They never last too long. But these viral trend video are 100% garbage for very young people, they literally take a second to make or copy and you tube rewards 20 years worth of long format views (work effort) to some kid that has zero creative talent and is just miming some soundbyte. The people behind the algorithms are on another planet
Thanks for bringing it up. RU-vid is overflowing with crap content. Dislike, tell algorithm you dont like it and block. Also dont forget to report all the hidden sexual content.
its really bad mate. the platforms want to turn kids into content creators so if you follow the next viral trend you will literally get millions of views. And they are hailing these kids as genious content creators. But they dont actually "create" anything and they certainly are not genious. In the meantime the pool of creators making content from scratch and exploring areas of interest are getting completly left behind. its just becoming a pure copy platform.
We are already loosing out m8. In 10 years of work I've done 100 million views over around 1000 videos. You tube will reward a teenage girl 150 million views for 1 short video that last 15 seconds and took less than a minute to create and she is lying in the video or constructing a fake viral trend content. You tube think this girl is amazing. If you were on fire in the street she would get her phone out to film you burn before helping you.
Block them and don't watch them. We are asking you tube for a means to be able to opt out. You tube however have created shorts to compete with tikdik and reels. They tell us they love this viral content and the people that copy viral trends are wonderfull creators...
