If you’re starting a business, it’s better to not go to your friends for support, they’re likely either going to help in the beginning just because they’re your friend and never again or just be a hater and not help at all. Just get it out the mud yourself, the people that don’t know you will support you the most! This also goes with hiring your friends, Don’t do it!

And yes, from my observation, the majority are not of African descent. But Zosh, that shouldn't keep you from going to college, attain a degree or certification that could allow you to travel, vlog, purchase your dream car because you would now have accreditations supporting you, not waiting on viewers' monetary support. Remember the Dustin Williams' and Adam LZ's of RU-vid get support to keep people with power in power. This how the world worked before the internet started and it will continue as such.

Entitlement is the only way I can explain it. We aren’t entitled to support from anyone. Some of what you are speaking on with ppl injecting doubt has to do with their lack of faith in their self and actually step out and risk something . Isn’t their job to validate the vision that’s your responsibility as being given the gift to see it. You’re a product as a channel. Selling yourself to market . Who’s your target audience? Are they even interested in what you sell or promote? Is it profitable? If these all aren’t yes across the board you need to change the target audience. 300k subs and whatever the average view count per video is enough consistent ppl to build anything on. You probably aren’t selling what they want to buy. Remarket the product . I’ve been a sub for years and you haven’t had a specified style of content for cars. Mostly you are an entertainer style content creator which means limiting yourself to car content and trying to make just that work is a self cap. You could do other product reviews in different niches to sell on a separate channel. Have affiliate programs and better brand deals. I’m not going to refer to other RU-vid channels because rarely do they speak on business or how they get money to make moves but they aren’t worried about friends support they are focused on growth and scaling. Lastly I will say I understand not liking how everyone is in certain scenes like mopar, street racing etc but it works, grows , gets eyes. In business you have to take yourself out of the equation sometimes and go watch and study similar business or even unrelated business to pickup better strategies and ideas. You have had years to build a community centered around exactly what you want to see in the car culture. Outside looking in I don’t see that being built. Doesn’t have to be anything crazy could be a simple discord with a community you provide value to and regulate. This isn’t me taking ish either. Just a honest view of getting out of your own way and building whatever it is you want. Support works both ways if you have ppl giving to you. You better deliver even more in return for what’s important to them on a personal level.
