This is a great Limerick team, but people need to stop making comparisons with the Kilkenny team. Kilkenny team won 8 all irelands in 11 years, this Limerick team has a long way to go before we can start making them comparisons.
How many players from that team have 8 medals. That Kilkenny team had repeatedly easy routes every year to the all Ireland Semi finals. Far more difficult to win now especially from Munster. This Limerick team is different gravy.

Cork not a bad team, just up against one of the greatest teams of all time, so they looked worse than they are. Don't forget they beat Kilkenny in the semi-final.
being grim and blunt here Cork will go 30 years without lifting the Liam MacCarthy cause yea they are getting some good underage success going but when you are looking at the team they faced today they genuinely could win 5 in a row and i think Cork will have a Mayo problem of getting a pretty good team together but just unlucky to have had that in the Era of this Limerick team so yea gonna be nothing but fucking Misery for the next decade
Limerick are exceptional but I've watched corks minor team this year in all their matches and as a limerick man I have to say they are exceptional too they will come.
In a bar in southern Spain watching this. All the Cork fans turned their backs collectively after 30 minutes and wouldn’t watch the remainder of the game. Wouldn’t see a Limerick fan doing that. Congrats Treatymen. Second part of the first half was awesome.
They're a proud county Brendan...that was hard to watch as a neutral Galway man, with Rebel roots...it looked like a training game, with some Junior B lads...!

Shame this game was not played with a real sliotar ,,it would have been something...the modified sliotar is distorting real hurling and therefore cannot be considered hurling in the true sense .... modified hurling with a handball possibly , suitable to counties with high wind and subsequent training advantage , but not for midlands counties with less wind whom were masters of the dead ball game ,,,which is now extinct in this handball hurling... therefore not hurling.
An absolute disgrace to the game of hurling I come from sligo a county that has won hardly anything at all but the little sligo won was always won fairly it's a form of cheating I lost count of the no of neck high challenges that's the modern game win at all costs doesn't matter if in the process yu do yur best to break yur opposition necks limerick yur definitely not a lady brutal stuff to watch I never ever ever witnessed a dirtier game of hurling
Although I agree, especially in the first half there were at least 3 high challenges from Limerick that should have been punished, I also have no doubt that the better team won on the day.
