Learn from a unique team of voices how to support high school athletes with physical disabilities. This webinar is for athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators. Often youth with mild to moderate disabilities who want to participate in high school sports may face barriers due to assumptions and training protocols that don’t take their needs into account. Athletes can learn to self-advocate. Parents can support their athletes. Coaches can learn to listen and understand the unique needs of these athletes and the value they bring to high school athletics while also honoring their commitment to lead competitive teams. Administrators can help build a more inclusive environment. Strength and conditioning coaches can gain skills in building adaptive programs for all athletes.
