That gunther shot from the high ground sneaking over the top of the shield is a great example of why the way the game simulates every shot is so sweet

This is the only game I watch replays of. You never know who's going to win, so many surprises each and every game. Lose a teammate or two in Starcraft, you're almost guaranteed a loss, but in this game you can lose multiple teammates and still win.

Meow's mutual suicide was a great play strategically. Trading a 1500 for a 1900 is huge, and it was a 1900 that picked up his base. I haven't finished watching but if the top team wins, it's thanks to that play. Obviously it doesn't help as much if you want to improve of course, as fighting vs high ranked people is the best way to get better.

personally dont really care for this strat if its intentional. its extremely cheeze play. he wasnt even any threat of dieing he just intentionally suicided unnecessarily. i didnt come here to watch players pull that crap. i came here to watch them PLAY against eachother.

In reference to the south american plateau's you are referring to "Tepuis" which are isolated due to sheer rock walls.

It was a fight back from the first moment on the right. Montana didn't realise it was bottom left vs top right, he thought it was split bottom right vs top left and started building accordingly. He was upgrading mexes instead of building units. I think the map was meant to be played that way, looking at the layout of the ridges, not the way these guys played it. However, this was more entertaining.

the best piece of advice i could give to new player, ask questions from people. eventually you will learn. There is a lot of optimisation and mods in the game that help to make you more efficient the only way to really know is to ask. There are people who play for years who still don't know the most efficient way to upgrade mexes.

HI there, are there any mods or anything, that stops the tanking of the game past 1 or 2 hour mark when loads of units are present? Or what specs do you have to have to enjoy a full match of 8 FFA 1000 unit cap on an at least 40km map? Cheers!;))

Nope, the game runs on one CPU core only, that's why it slows down so much. Your best bet is to get a processor with as high single core frequency as possible. 9900K or perhaps one of the upcoming Zen 3 -based AMD CPUs, which are rumoured to have improved IPC (instructions per clock).

You get the feeling like the north team stumbled on some gold or diamond mine in their starting location to be able to pump out that many experimentals while the south team just does absolutely nothing. I did like Eco Noobs comment: "What do you want, eco or units?" -->"A team!"

What contributed to game quality? My friend and I have pretty high spec pc's rocking current gen ryzens and 2060s but seem to only get sub 50 game quality. Does it take network into account?

That game quality meter is measuring the balance of ranked players on each side. Nothing to do with computer power.

What kind of CPU do you need for FA. Is fewer cores, but high clockspeed better than more cores, and lower clockspeed. I have an i5 4690. Is this good enough?

I'm recently getting back into the game, after a long hiatus. The score board in the top right confuses me these days, so much info - can someone point me in the direction to where I can get info and what it all means, and how to install it?

You'll need the Forged Alliance Forever client, or FAF as it is commonly reffered to. After you launch the client you'll then have to register an account, which requires a Steam account with a copy of Forged Alliance. Once you're in, just head over to the Vault tab and download the Supreme Scoreboard mod and you're all set. When watching replays, you'll now see the much more detailed scoreboard. Never noticed that but it's because they consume 2/s energy while extracting mass so if they already have max mass, early game you might need that 2s energy more.
