In a shocking incident, the official RU-vid channel of the Supreme Court got hacked on September 18. The channel was showing videos that were promoting cryptocurrency developed by a US-based company ‘Ripple labs’. The news was flagged when a blank video “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds…” was live on the SC’s channel. Later, RU-vid removed the whole channel from the video platform quoting “violation of the community guidelines”. The Supreme Court has been using RU-vid to stream live hearings of cases listed before Constitution benches
