I own this amp and can honestly say I have more fun playing it than almost any amp I’ve ever owned. It sounds great with all my guitars and it plays well with pedals. I’ve found that the secret to using the drive switch is rolling off the guitar’s volume for rhythm and bringing it up for solos. What an amazing amp!

That's the secret to amplified playing period. It's astonishing how many guitar players don't know why they should be using their vol/tone controls.

How's it for giggin'? Usually mic amps anyway but looking for a smaller amp to bring out to club gigs.

@@HurdyG I haven’t gigged it yet, but if you are micing it I think it would sound fantastic. It has enough volume, but the amp would definitely be breaking up if you didn’t use a mic but that breakup would sound fantastic, it just wouldn’t have a ton of headroom.

I've seen a bunch of demos of this Supro but this is the only one that focuses primarily on the clean sound with the master volume up and the 6L6 power tube singing nicely. Sounds beautiful, perfect with a pedal board. That fizzy, buzzy sound that everyone else seems fixated on just gets on my nerves. Thanks so much.

Delta King 12.. the 12 represents the speaker size. It's a 15 watt amp

Isn’t Line out and Power amp in pretty much the same as FX send/return?

I think the “12” in the name is the size of the speaker, not the wattage. I believe it’s 15 watts with a 12” speaker.

I absolutely love the clean tones I can get out of this from my LP to the two Strats. My PRS, oddly, doesn't sound the way it does here in the demo (a single cut SE). I also have a cheap Epiphone Dot that has SD Pearly Gates and all new wiring that sounds like the bomb! The drive channel is adequate at home but for gigging a Tube Screamer or any of my other ODs really work better. Nice amp, despite being pricey...glad I got it. wish they'd offered that nice tweed face though when I got mine...

So I just purchased a DK12 and am hearing some really unpleasant buzz coming from the spring reverb. It almost sounds like the spring is rubbing up against something when activated (like when you loosen the springs up against a snare drum). Has anyone else encountered this? I think I need to send it back because I'm not hearing that issue on this demonstration when the reverb is activated...

That’s a CE 24. American made with a bolt-on neck. An excellent piece of gear for a reasonable price

@@jerryhorton5708 would you assume that’s it’s a “standard” model based on what appears to be a satin finish? At first I thought it was just an older guitar but now I see they offer the CE 24 in a satin tobacco sunburst and I’m wondering if that’s what this is? Thanks

@@jschwam1307 That would be my guess, as well. I owned a cherry sunburst CE (traded it for a Silver Sky, so I'm not hurting there...) These are excellent guitars for the money. PRS builds great guitars and their bolt-ons are no exception.

This is hysterical. So it's $25 less than the Blues Jr. But I think it's on sale. Normally it's $25 more than the Blues Jr. At least we know that the Fender blues Jr is all tube. We know that the Supro is not all tube. Psionic opened up a Supro but it was too complicated to figure out and he didn't have the schematics, It was full of ICs and so on. If Bugera can make one for $440 and monoprice for $300, Then what is the deal? Why are these amps different?

Ok, but I played a DK12 and then a Fender blues Jr and the fender sounds like a cardboard box. Lots of people are up in arms about this DK12 for some reason and I'm convinced none of them have sat down and plugged in

@@calm2348 Sure, but that's true on all the videos and all the commenters. But I did see a RU-vid video of a guy who threw out a line 6 out of a window which I thought was awesome.

How about bedroom level volumes?

Demo was filmed at not too much above bedroom levels - we'd say it's absolutely great within that range (from bedroom to small gigs) but you'd be asking a lot of it to keep up with 50-watt amps, loud drums etc unless it was mic'd. But a lot of stages are much quieter these days and / or offer to mic amps and put them back through the monitors, so we think it could be used in a very useful range of musical scenarios

I don’t care for the on/off drive, but it sounds nice otherwise. I think I’d still rather have a Hot Rod Deluxe for that money.

I found in trying one out that the drive sound is too much- like nearly fuzzy. The clean sound is really nice, but yeah, at $650 in the US, you're into used Fender territory happily.

The build quality, especially the cab, is significantly nicer; the HRD uses MDF and the Supro uses solid poplar.

This amp is very “specialized”. If you need “clean” this is not going to get you there, especially at gig level volumes. I think the Bugera 22 is a better overall choice. Nice for what it does though.

No ftsw foot switch not with the amp , not without the amp ,on all the reviews no one even mentions it.

I have the Supro Blues King 12 which is basically the same amp and has an effects loop. Don't know why they got rid of it with this amp.

@@jamesmarcin4787 people where complaining from unwanted distortion when using pedals through the FX Loop. This was cause by little knowledge on how to use/stack pedals, so they basically dumbed it down.

@@chocokrispisconleche I get that many amps don't have effects loops. I'm 51 y/o Lol. It's funny that they took it away with this model and increased the price by just adding stripes to it. Other than that its the exact same amp.I have no noise problems running pedals into the effects loop.
