Sur Ron X on Steroids + Steep Muddy Hill = Fried Controller?!

Hey everyone. In today's video we are going to be taking the Sur Ron into some serious mud. A lot of the footage was not usable from mud on the lens, but hopefully this can give you a good idea of what it can do. Please not this bike is not stock. Big tires, 64t sprocket and 13kW help it put down some serious power. Check out all the upgrades below in the link below.

Nothing but snow in N Oregon for ten days. Broke off my rear fender, they aren't as flexible at 26 degrees. The doggo loved the snow so we rode several times every day. It's thawing out today so the bike finally gets cleaned up.

I siliconed around all the joints and connections haven't had any issues in the snow.

Damn, yea sxs really rut things out for sure, but still always good content, I just finished doing a lot of upgrades on my Surron, debating on doing the power upgrade now. But fox 40s forks/rear suspension, riser link, titanium axle/axle block, pegs/peg bracket, wheels(hub,spoke,etc from woody) , and big difference is in the new tires. Love them Surron 🤘🏼🙌🏼

Can the stock belt handle these big tires and added power? Or is a chain conversion necessary?

Haven't had any issues yet! Though we make sure that it's properly tensioned often. That is where you are likely going to run into issues.

@@emotobros Is there a way to properly measure the belt tension? Or we can only questimate?

@@cheburator2000 I'm sure there are but it's not something we've ever done. Usually just give it the good ole' feel test. It's pretty hard to get it too tight considering that you basically have to push on the motor and rotate it a-concentrically to apply tension.

Any issues running at 13kw? I’m running 12kw with your controller, chi battery and 64 tooth sprocket. Tempted to go more but I don’t want any issues .

Other than lots of heat generation, no issues yet. 12-13kW is hardly noticeable I will say

This looks miserable… fast dry smooth single track is the most fun you can have. Kudos to you fellas for riding in this slop. I will hard pass. Can’t wait to order your BAC 4000.

are you guys coming out with the battery this month?im batteryless and don’t want to pull the trigger on the chi battery because I feel you guys will come out with a better one

We don't want to set any hard dates and we won't have a huge supply but we do plan for them to be available within the next month or so. Don't let us hold you up! Anything you buy can easily be sold very quickly in this market typically without losing money.
