I recently bought the Surecom SW-33 Plus and own 3 Quansheng Radio's. I have noticed the lower the frequency , the higher the output. I measured at 145mhz on all 3 and highest was 6W on one. I also did a test on 446mhz and one of them measured 4.7W. I used the Dummy Load provided with the Surecom SWR meter.

It's a bit odd, I remember when I did my first test, I got an average reading of 4.2w on the Quansheng, but for some reason I couldn't replicate the same reading on the video. This makes sense now.

thank you for the demo. by the way, I can get SWR reading 3-4 on UHF with this device using stock atenna. will it damage overtime my radio if I keep on using? will it improve if I change to other UHF frequency or there's no effect at all regardless of whatever freq am into? thanks

Yes, anything over 2.5 is considered high. If you have an SWR of 3, you could easily damage your radio. So it’s essential to keep an eye on your SWR, and if it starts to creep up, take action to fix the problem.

Watch my video (RTL SDR). It's a USB dongle that scans for all sorts of signals. It is the software it labels the bands used for each industry/function. One of the bands is labeled as army band. For my earlier research, army and government agencies use far more sophisticated equipment, high-powered and encrypted.
